Sati means when husband dies the wife of husband (widow) will jump on husband death which is put on firewood and British govt came and punished for those people who follow these sati system
Raja Ram Mohan Roy found the required documents to put before court aka British laws to abolish the system. The Indian patriarchal society thought the social reformer as offensive to our culture. Britishers did not gain or lose from that decision so they never took a step until then.

Many people don't get this but since this is very important for context of video, India's stand up speech is not a jab at Britain, but at modern India. When this video came out, Indian politicians have put students with dissenting opinion of government in jail, shooting at their own civilians in Kashmir and using community fault lines to garner votes. It is like saying what India stood for during it's inception, and is now falling in same trap that it fought hard to get free from You don't have to agree with AIB's opinion on this, but it is necessary to tell the context. Also, one reaon why AIB went down as soon as a single alligation came against them, is because they had such bold stances. No other brand suffered such a widespread damage from MeToo in India, or even in west. In worst cases, concerned employees were fired, but here, whole company has dissolved. This just tells you speaking truth has a price, even if you say it with humour.

There are many comments regarding The Diamond "Kooh-i-noor". But let me tell you something more. Legend has it that it was the prominent jewel of the goddess of royal temple of Kakatiya Dynasty in South India. When Muslim rulers of Delhi Sultanate invaded them, they ransacked the temple and took that diamond away along with other jewels. Due to violation of the temple, it became cursed and then what ever kingdom got that, including Delhi Sultanate, it either got abolished or reduced to non significant status. Lastly it went to England/GB/UK and the empire where the Sun never set, got reduced to an island and now is a stooge to its former colony USA. So, its better that it should remain with them and they should bear the burnt of the curse for the good of the world ;-) . I think, King Ranjit Singh got knowledge of the curse, so he willed it to be given to Jagnath Temple, but curse prevailed. Also, when it got looted by Nader Shah, he named it "Kooh-i-noor" (Mountain of Light) and that name stuck.

In 2018 the Indian supreme court has struck down Section 377.
Took that long
I always criticised Rick but this is his best and most natural reaction so far. He is not pretending to react or over react. He is in his natural best which is awesome. Please Rick, keep it(beingnatural) going..
I thought his initial reactions were fake😀
@@rsanjyot123 that's how they are genuine.they cant here ,such violent things, for us its funny
@@rsanjyot123 Same here
Rick is a very emotional guy, I never once felt he was fake. He always seemed very genuine to me.
Did u notice in the last they took the KOHINOOR(diamond) from they and they still have it in UK.
I have seen this video many times.. But i just realized that the gay guy they're referring to is Alan Turing.. And also you missed them stealing The Kohinoor Diamond when you were distracted by BigB's impersonation 😜
6:25 The line "At the stroke of the midnight hour, as the world sleeps, India will awaken to life and freedom" is from India's first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru's first address to independent india at the midnight of 14th August. You should listen to it. The speech is famously called 'Tryst with Destiny'. Gives me goosebumps.
Oh my God! This is such a tongue-in-cheek! 👌👏
If you look closely in the end
(10: 28)the thing in the box carried by British was kohinoor diamond taken from Punjab (India) which now is embedded in the queens crown
Rick = pure innocent soul with mature mind and KORBIN = 'what a practical man' This kind of practical nature can make you laugh at any situation. 👍👍
Rick is drama...wonder what happened to his indian wife
Widows don't make good fuel, tell that to the witch hunters in Europe
By the time British came to India, this practice was obsolete in Europe. But in India it continued till as recently as 1987, read the roop kunwar case of Rajasthan. There were other minor incidents after that too.
@@pranavtiwari6772 Come on. SATI was a rare event even in British India. At times it was related to property and at other times to maybe honor of the family but it was rare. Otherwise how do I explain the whole lot of widowed grandmothers in my childhood days 1956/57.
One grandma was widowed at 18yr (maybe in the 1920s) and childless, and she lived with the joint family till 80.
@@tintunbirha exactly......same here..........all those widows that not only me but my mom met in her childhood........ i think this is another one of those how we saved india thing from the britishers......... they like to think they actually saved us by colonizing us for centuries
@@geetanjalikharbe8395 It was the rarest of the rare events. The only two SATI events I have known of is 1.Bengali widow who was saved by Job Charnok the man who founded Calcutta. 2. Roop Kanwar in Rajasthan in the 1970s or so. But I remember no 2. as it was in my time.
I WISH I HAD A FATHER LIKE "RICK" 💓

I have been waiting for this reaction like hell... Seriously... Thanks for the reaction...
Ind should beat Eng in the Semi final when they r so close to the cup & r out & out favorates of winning the world cup...That would heal some scar of the pre independance time
I've noticed only now how he says he won't discriminate based on skin color but then says he'll be "fair & lovely"
It also took jabs at the indian government (during the speech)
About censorship
Putting students in jail
etc.
Anyways if you like dark comedy watch Daniel Sloss.
5:59 Dr. BR Ambedkar and his fellow are great in this that he managed it all.
Thankfull to Constitution Drafting committee ❤️
Homosexuality is legal now in INDIA by SUPREME COURT.
@Jobin Sabu watch this video.ruclips.net/video/V19qcDGymDQ/видео.html
In the beginning of the video, there was a picture of Queen with a caption “Roop ki Rani” which literally means Beauty Queen. And a picture of Mountbatten with a caption, “Goron ka Raja” which translates to King of White people. Gora means light skinned but can occasionally also be used like Latin Americans use “Gringo”. The usage is not always offensive, it depends on the tone and context.
The reference to shooting protesting innocent women and children confined in a space with a single exit was the Jallianwala bagh massacre.. The gay guy who went to jail for being gay won the second world war and possibly shortened the war by atleast 4 years.. His name was Alan Turing.. This comment is just to help people who might not be aware about it..
I am always up to hear Rick's insights
This is how forgiving we Indians are!!
Thank you for reacting to this...I requested this. I don't know whether you had seen that or not.Iam always a fan of you guys
300 years???goddammit...I feel so sorry for our Indians were slaves for britishers..remembering the great heroes who fought for Independence🇮🇳🇮🇳
150 years or so, to be closer to the actual number of years
I am so glad u did this video. This is 1 of the best video of AIB. Waiting for OMERTA trailer reaction.
FYI: The person representing 'India' was the accused and for him many more videos of AIB were taken down by AIB themselves. That person is accused of sending peepee pics to girls.
Fair and lovely is a fairness cream which was once a biggest boom in cosmetic industry of india,he said fair and lovely in his speech😂
If any Indians in UK feel homesick just visit British museum
I wish you were indian and you actually understood how brilliant this was and how many things they have said even on the recent affairs in the country. These guyz were absolutely awesome. Wish AIB returns.
as a british indian, the ‘southall’ joke got me 😂
Strangely enough, we don't hate Great Britain as we are supposed to do.
Please Review the movie LAGAN!! Its a great movie and i think you can now get back to amir khan, atleast for this one movie. Its a big request please!!!
Yes please watch lagaan and raid and Rustom too.
They already did lagaan reaction and review
@@aaqibqureshi8957 When they did it? couldn't find it, can you help me by telling that approximately how many days/ months back they did Lagans movie review. It will be great help
I have only saw lagans trailer reaction
@@aaqibqureshi8957 that was trailer only which didn't do justice with the movie.
@@VC-en2cs true, but they did researched it, i guess you should request for a review only
"you told me goa was a one time thing" lol
Sati means when husband dies the wife of husband (widow) will jump on husband death which is put on firewood and British govt came and punished for those people who follow these sati system
Raja Ram Mohan Roy found the required documents to put before court aka British laws to abolish the system. The Indian patriarchal society thought the social reformer as offensive to our culture. Britishers did not gain or lose from that decision so they never took a step until then.
8:38
I realised after watching The Imitation Game that he's talking about Alan Turing!
This video is superbly done, one of my favs, and I'm from Pakistan
Keeping all jokes aside...can you imagine my great grandparents, grand parents, uncles and other family members went through? We can make jokes and move pass it all but the facts remains, yet the word “peace” achieve so much. Bittersweet pride.
AIB Honest series.. Specifically Honest Flights
Love from India
Many people don't get this but since this is very important for context of video, India's stand up speech is not a jab at Britain, but at modern India.
When this video came out, Indian politicians have put students with dissenting opinion of government in jail, shooting at their own civilians in Kashmir and using community fault lines to garner votes. It is like saying what India stood for during it's inception, and is now falling in same trap that it fought hard to get free from
You don't have to agree with AIB's opinion on this, but it is necessary to tell the context.
"Bro that's a curtain not America, you can't hide behind it" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
"I love offensive humor" ~ Korban you rockstar
This is what we faced, it's a cruel reality. This is the way, we remember it. No grudge feelings to anyone in the world.
Here are some videos you can react to (AIB videos)
*Rape - It's Your Fault
*Dhoom 3 Parody (not required to watch movie. It's made on different topic but funny)
*Indian Mario
*Alia Bhatt - Genius of the Year
*Man's Best Friend
*Unoffended
*The Bollywood Diva Song
So India did not take his diamond back, rather picked the cricket ball and playing cricket ever since... Deep thought
India officially struck down section 377 in september 2018. One of the few moments that me feel proud of my country.😁
Ashley loved your commentary, want to see more of your analysis, you strong gal, you are tangy, would be nice to see more of your reactions. And please bit Rick up when he does the ostrich head thingie, ow I like it but it feel like hammering the ground hog kinda thing when he does it LOL
Hey korbin And rick ..you are awesome , funny ..keep it up ...plzzz react to SRK's song. " Mai koi aisa geet gaau" & "ruk jaa oh dil dewane" ...😃😃
3:13 - its Jallianwala Bagh massacre where they killed around 1000 people
They developed this video in Lagaan style.... Watch Lagaan.... And that narrative voice is big B's voice in Movie. Watch Lagaan as i told u both on Insta also....
The other funnier one is AIB "Man's Best Friend", make sure that both ashley and alexis watch it too...
Love for Korbin, you are the dude man, you are sassy funny and yet with depth, way to go man. Best thing about you is you are adaptable, you do not take sides and be wise and funny about the whole topic. My favorite was and will be Rick as he is passionate and emotional and well versed and I thought you are little immature at times, well many a time, but I realize you are more mature than even Rick in your sense of attachment. You give a lift up in all situation and you are the America that makes one's heart grow warm. Thanks dude, you rock!! Be as you are, bless your heart. Love ya all three. Now answer this "God bless America" but why, and why only America?
Finally. I've been requesting this since the day India resigned
british come in India that time india have 35% share in world trade... british left india that time india have only 2% share in world trade... we are number 1 and super power if british not come...
but now wait for only few month we are become 5th largest economy britain down to 6th we are on the way to get back our old goldan bird status....
Please do react to the following AIB videos:
1) AIB Bollywood Diva song
2) AIB Honest Weddings
3) AIB Honest House Parties
4) AIB Man's best friend
Along the massive digs at the "Raj," The monologue took hard and fast hits at what was the current state of affairs at the time - the stratification of society, the imprisonment of students who criticized the government (and managed to turn the conversation to their advantage in the aftermath), the gagging of media and free speech, etc.
They were referencing to Alan Turning, the gay guy they imprisoned.
That guilty Korbin statement: "I love offensive Humour!" LMAO the cringe when he said that haha!!!
And I am Sim--ran 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I just watch your channel now!!!
Welcome aboard!
Korbin the one that you are referring to is AIB comedy roast-that was taken down. It was a roast of Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, the actors, by AIB team and some other people from the film and entertainment industry. Karan Johar the director was the MC. But if I am not wrong those videos are back up now online. They went through quite some shit because of it. This video that you guys reacted to was not brought down, instead it is one of the most popular videos of AIB. Cheers :)
Korbin: I like people getting offended.
Me: 🙃 (is that even a correct reaction)
Am I the only one liking all his weirdness😛❤️🤷♀️
Ashley sandwiches between you guys..😅😅😂😂😁😁🙏🙏
Rick was so uncomfortable watching this video, I love it! Haha.
Btw, just wanted to mention that despite the ever-present political tension, there is still a lot of love between the common Pakistani and Indian people. It's just the internet a few people get to be toxic.
Man's best friend by AIB. A very clever and humorous video. You'd love it.
Roop ki rani was the best picture in the video
All i wanna say is that "common sense is not common at all" hope ppl'll get it...
That "call me raj" is an iconic dialogue of SRK from the movie DDLJ
