Hi Drew! As someone who wrote a book, and then worked on the 2nd edition of that book, I can straight up tell you -- putting up a video every month is f'ing impressive, and I'm sure it takes no less effort and commitment. Love your stuff!
Real talk though, if done right, this could be an absolute masterpiece in abstract literature. I mean, obviously it wouldn't be done right and would probably be near-impossible to read, but we can dream
17:40 the subtitles uere say catholic instead of cathartic, making the quote "She defends most of these poems by talking about how catholic they were for her to write."
Drew is so well-spoken. He does his research and talks about topics analytically and backs up his opinions with facts while still being funny I love it.
Yess! But besides that he also talks so clearly and it's so easy to understand even for me 'cause english isn't my mother tongue and he helps me improving a lot.
Randall Paquet yeah, but I feel like If you’re going with the no rhyme thing, you should keep it for the whole poem. It’s kinda weird to drop the rhyme scheme half way haha. I haven’t read it though. I hate her.
It’s because she does everything half assed. Her book, like her music, like her videos always look like she just got tired and gave up at some point. They never look properly finished.
I’m very late at this but I think it’s funny/sad to think that one of the only good things Drew had to say about Gabbie’s book was that the art was really great when it’s been revealed now that she stole all of it from her sister without giving her credit.
as a minor and someone who has a uterus, i had to fully take a few minutes to process things after hearing the whole 'guys are obsessed with what girls look like naked' thing because, what the actual fuck. thats genuinely so gross. gotta be some of the most vile shit ive ever heard. like, we are already paranoid enough about sexual harassment and being objectified, ive heard boys my age talk about the girls in some of the most mortifyingly shocking disgusting ways, so for jake paul to preach that to his fanbase of mainly 12-13 y/o children basically trying to say that its okay is so genuinely disgusting to me
Honestly, don’t trust no one lol. As a dude, I can confirm that other dudes are weird. Me, personally, I’m not big into the whole “look that girl is hot” thing. I don’t get it at all. If girls were judging me based on how I look, I would be really mad. So I don’t wanna do it to other people because I don’t want people to do it to me. Plus, the Paul brothers suck. And the only actual Paul brother fans are fetuses and crypto bros. And normal people don’t like people like that. My general advice: carry a weapon, look intimidating, watch everyone around you, don’t travel to suspicious areas, and don’t put yourself in situations where bad things could happen. Sucks we gotta do this to be safe, but the world ain’t perfect so we gotta do what we gotta do. Have a good day. (Also, most guys I know are similar to me. All of what jake is saying is total bullshit. The only guys who are gonna be doing that, you probably already know who they are and what they look like. I hate them as well they are super annoying.)
Don’t take it too harsh, (def still will happen) but carry yourself with a sense of (possibly false) confidence and actually be yourself and question nonsense and you’ll still avoid most of these psychopaths. P.s. as an anxious mid 20s man it feels like everyone wants something from me but idk what it is. So there’s overlap but just try not to project this exact mindset on to all the people you meet. (Sadly also dont ignore it if bad signs show up)

The sex drive is strong and has to do with realizing our full potential, but all good things have their proper time and place. I read it when it came out and I really liked it then. But I had also been a really big fan for a while and I was following her vlogs where she talked about writing it so I was very excited to read it. I have since fallen away from watching her and I haven't returned to the book since my initial reading of it. But thinking back on it, it felt like a motivational book without a lot of substance behind the motivational phrases. But it also didn't feel like a half-assed attempt at a cash grab, I thought the book showed that she put a lot of effort and care into it. So I would say its definitely not the best book in the world but she put effort into it, which is more than I can say for other RUclipsrs. Not everyone's content can be transferred into another medium and I think Lily is the perfect example of that.

I was never a big Joey Graceffa fan but for some reason I bought and read both of his books and I have no complaints about them. I can see why people wouldn't like them, they aren't the best books in the world. But the Eden is pretty entertaining coming from someone who loves everything Sci fi and fantasy. I really enjoyed reading those because it was such a unique story. You gotta give him props for it because there isn't any reused topics from other very famous stories like Harry potter or the Hunger games. Honestly the plot had me gripped, I loved the characters in it and exsspesually the strong female lead. Anyways I still own them, they sit on my book shelf. I honestly recommend, just as long as you get past the fact that a RUclipsr wrote it.
I wish Jake Paul wouldn’t encourage boys to base their ideas on sex around porn... porn is unrealistic and terrible in its portrayal of women and how sex should be for them. I hate this
idk why but jake talking extensively abt his first sexual encounters rubs me the wrong way. i think its probably bc he’s now an adult and it’s just very strange for him to obsess over the sexuality of teens
It's because it's extemely inappropriate to market that information in a "fun" little book for kids it's yucky and normal to feel yuck about that kind of inappropriate behavior

A pool doesn't really get deeper when you fill it but it seems deeper because you can't see the ground that well. If it isn't filled you can tell how deep it is if it's filled you have to make your way to the ground by swimming. If something is deep it's more like a filled pool because you figure out the depth while swimming/exploring the medium. If it's 2 dimensional and badly written you can easily tell that it isn't going to have much depth just like with an unfilled above-ground-pool.

I feel like Jake Paul writing a book is the equivalent of “that guy” having to do his homework to stay on the football team.
oh my god.
yeah and he wants to stay in the team to get teenage girl points
Omg you just took the words out of my mouth
holy shit how is that so accurate what
Teaching boys that it’s ok to objectify women and girls that if they want to get a guy’s attention they have to objectify themselves, Jake Paul Is truly great influence in the lives of these kids

The fact that jake paul wrote this book, and included those weird & graphic details about his sexual experiences, knowing FULL well his audience is children!
Well, that’s his brand, kids who think they’re cool because “haha I know peepee go in vajayjay”

God, the way Jake Paul talks to and about teenage girls creeps me out.
was it really surprising tho
cataclysmic biscuit he lowkey always gave that vibe
Creeps do be creeping.
He still has that teenager mindset and based on his lifestyle, he probably won’t grow out of it🤷🏽♀️
Being creepy to younger girls runs in the family. I guess he takes from his dad's
I’m surprised you didn’t talk about Lily Singh’s “like a boss” book. When it came out and I wondered what the book was like because I’ve never read it.
James Marriott covered it, I believe.
Senali Karunathilake that’s what my parents say about me ...
(It’s a joke)
Jex G ok thanks I’ll need to check that out
I read it when it came out and I really liked it then.

Fun Science was successful in rural America in towns that never heard of Charlieissocooklike. I was amazed to see it in the library of the farming town of 200 people. She wrote a book that transcended her RUclips career, and I think she was the only one I can think of that wasn't one of the Green boys. Like, that is so impressive. To make something that is a success without previous successes being a factor

I drink it a lot in the winter for my sore throat and it gets the job done of getting rid of it. You should really try drinking those two together
idk but him talking about how all teenage boys want is to see girls naked and how all girls want are clothes and shoes....that REALLY did not sit well with me.
(Edited for clarity because i dont proofread and then suffer the consequences later)
He doesn’t seem to realize that not all teenage boys are as big assholes as he is and he honestly has no idea that girls are people
Also just the fact that he’s alluding to middle school girls....without clothes on.... i might be reading too much into it but I’m gonna throw up
Don't forget how he encourages his young impressionable audience to use the internet as their primary source of sex education and take porn as an accurate depiction of what sex is... Jesus what a garbage human being, the fact that so many kids see him as a role model genuinely scares me
!!!!!!!!!!!
Gotta give credit to Jake Paul, the book may be awful, but it actually seems like he wrote it himself, which is more than I can say for most celebrity books. I mean no professional writer could write that bad
Bro I thought you were a fan of the book till I read the last line 💀
Zoella’s ghostwriter can…🤪
Its kida funny idk I like the part where he writes porn
IMO It’s definitely written by a ghost writer with some contributions from JP.
Have you read *anything* by E.L James, tho?
I hate this
I’m going to barf
Rhiannon May same, that part made me so uncomfortable o-o
Part of the huge reason women don't get to finish during sex--even though that's beside what you meant

idk why but jake talking extensively abt his first sexual encounters rubs me the wrong way. i think its probably bc he’s now an adult and it’s just very strange for him to obsess over the sexuality of teens
Bold of you to call JP an adult.
It's because it's extemely inappropriate to market that information in a "fun" little book for kids it's yucky and normal to feel yuck about that kind of inappropriate behavior
We’ll look into it
