this would have been around... 2002 or 2003: I was driving home to Western Washington from a trip to Texas and the route I took went through Ogden Utah. I saw the sign for this museum and HAD to go. I just happened to be wearing my John Moses Browning ball cap. I walked up to the ticket counter and the lady working inside did a double take... and let me in for FREE. She said she had never seen anyone come IN to the museum already wearing a JMB hat. It was a great museum. What a genius the man was.
I didn't know there was a Browning Museum. Went through Ogden many years ago but continued on to Rock Springs, Wy. Had I known, I would have stopped there.
If in the San Antonio TX area, The Buckhorn Saloon & Museum and Texas Ranger Museum is a MUST. They have a large collection of firearms, many of which are customized 1911's. Tons of history and only a few blocks from the Alamo
I was literally sitting on the edge of my seat during this entire video! Thinking to myself: how could one building contain the mind of "Mr. John"? Are there rare models/ low serial number arms in steamer trunks, or even grave sites all over America? Nice touch to include Kalashnikov, as J.M.B. was his idol!

What’s the best gun JMB ever made? M2 Browning .50 caliber machine gun. Still in use today. Has stacked way more bodies than a 1911. Having said that, the 1911 is the second best firearm from the great JMB Great interview Eli (and Nick) very well done! Phil was awesome too!
Very nice place. When I went I filmed with my GoPro and was stopped by a gentleman that asked me if I am from the press because “the city doesn’t like that”. Of course I am not from the press. Putting me in the spotlight in front of people was a bit weird.
Great video, thanks. Now I have to visit this museum. The guide's historical knowledge is very impressive, as is Eli's. It was nice to see a more subdued and respectful side of Eli, too...he just gained some respect from this 'boomer.' ...not that he would care, haha.
Hey Steve, I think it's a common misconception that I don't like or respect older folks. Most of those conversations were jokes, leaning into the old v. young "thing" that follows the 1911 around. I grew up around old hot rodders, veterans, and gun guys who enjoyed jokes on the"tougher" side. I picked that up and assumed that was the way things worked elsewhere. I don't mean to be disrespectful to older guys, some of my closest friends are in their 70's. I'm so happy you loved the video! -Eli

My testosterone went up to critical levels watching this. The land of JMB, the museum of JMB, Eli, too much manliness!
It's like a test shot in media form.

Awesome! It’s time to start planning my pilgrimage to Ogden.
That was worthwhile my time

Say less, I would love that!

Glad you finally got to see JMB's museum. I know you would love it.
Pretty neat look at some cool old guns.
Cool doesn't even begin to describe it. The prototype BAR was NUTS.

The M2 is awesome.
I’m a 1911 guy but was kinda surprised that there was no mention of the Hi-Power…
Well, in all fairness, we didn't cover 90% of the guns Browning made...
RAD BRO!
