I live in Ogden and was born here. I love to see this genius being admired. He's easily one of the most influential, if not the most, people to come out of Ogden. He and Philo Farnsworth are my two favorite influential people from my state's history. Haha The Browning house is also in Ogden on historic Jefferson street and still in beautiful shape.
I would love to hear what mr. Browning would have to say about the modern pressure-assisted triggers. If you don't know it's similar to a binary trigger but closer to full auto. It's just amazing to condense that principle of action down to something such as just the trigger group instead of way more additional Parts in movement.
The jeep and m-60 machine gun are exactly like the ones we used in nam for convoy escorts as M.P.'s. Only I told my machine gunner to jold it in his lap, if we turned over in the jeep I wanted that weapon with us !!!
Cool vid. John M Browning was an amazing man. A neat fact to have added would have been on how Browning so believed in his BAR he sent his son Val to war with it. There are a few pics of Val Browning in uniform holding the BAR.
Howdy Bob I also am a firearm enthusiast I also share the family name of Redfern I also had a brother Bob sadly he is deceased I am also an avid Browning fan and own a B 25 with the serial no 945 Keep up the good work
John Browning did not know ther would be a need or want for a machine gun. However his inventive genius led him to the machine gun. The rest as they say is history. Theres a book on his life that is well researched (largely by the Family) and sanctioned by his son Val that’s a excellent read.
Yawn, Browning had done the drawings as well but was to busy with winchester in those days to go there yet ...Maxim designed "a" machine gun ..Browning designed 10 of them several which are still in use today .....so first at patent ...yawn ..who cares
To quote Churchill "Never was so much owed by so many to so few". John M. Browning was one of those few.
Browning didn’t just invent a modern machine gun, he is the God Father to all modern guns.
God created man. Sam made them equal. But John Moses made American's Automatically Superior! B.A.R.

This was a damn good presentation. I have planned on going to Ogden for years. I need to get there.
The Auto5 shotgun is a work of art. And a great piece of machinery as well.

Till this day we still used John Moses Browning's guns I love using the 1911
Wow! Thanks for including that portion on the Mule. Very interesting IMO and much appreciated!
15:00 Of course you wouldn't be standing there- without Browning, there would be no Browning Museum!
My late bud, Chuck Richter, owned a 'mechanical Mule'...used'ta take to various re enactment in Florida...
I just found your channel and discovered that your last video was done ten months ago. I hope you haven't quit.

The mechanical mule was featured in the movie Maximum Overdrive by Stephen King. Had a MG mounted on it and fired by itself.
I love this museum I was there last week.

Do a story about Johns brother Edward, he actually worked all the bugs out of the designs. Everyone needs to hear about this unsung genius also.
Great video thanks fantastic passion you obviously have for weapons as England civvie found it very interesting thanks again 👏🏻😊

One must mention Sir Hiram Maxim if they are to discuss Browning-John in Texas
Maxim used water cooling before Browning.
When I can't sleep I mentally disassemble firearms...1911s, ARs, M1s, M14s, BHPs, and a number of foreign designs etc...
Note the similarity between his first lever action design and the "Potato Digger"...
I’m impress with these guns
How about showing JMBs original design for the BHP..one was a striker fired design you NEVER see it shown or described in publications
I thought by the title that I was going to get to see a museum.
Very good video
God bless John Moses Browning
