Wheel Gun Wednesday- Marketing Guys Shoot Revolvers
Whoah, whoah, WHOAH! Is an ACW Video dropping on a Wednesday? Why? Well, folks, Wheel Gun Wednesday is here and the boys at ACW want to show off their revolvers. The 1911 and the revolver have long had an almost intertwined relationship: the 1911 itself was developed as a replacement for the U.S. Service revolver! Considered by many to be the "manual transmission" of handguns, the revolver still sees widespread use in America to this day- although not as popular as it once was. With that, please enjoy a fun video of our guys on the range with their revolvers, and have a lovely Wheel Gun Wednesday!

The Smallest Gun We've Ever Shot: Colt's 1908
Просмотров 1,1 тыс.14 дней назад
The Sales Guys for ACW are back at it again with some historical firearms for you to enjoy. This week, we're talkin' Colt's Model 1908 "Vest Pocket". It's probably the smallest gun either Nick or Eli has shot, but it IS a Browning-designed pistol so it must be done. The .25 ACP, laughable in modernity, was at one time, a hot concealed carry caliber.
ACW Sales Guys Meet the Guns of Blackhawk Down

It's a movie that most gun enthusiasts are more than familiar with. For some, the movie sparked their interest in firearms (like Nick). Regardless, it has some awesome action and awesome guns! Today, the ACW sales team is going to go through two very famous guns from the movie: the M14 and "Gordon Carbine".
ACW Sales Guys Shoot... LUGERS?

If the 1911 had an "arch nemesis", I think we can all agree, it would be the Luger. In the spirit of "know thy enemy", our *less than* Dynamic Duo went out and bought Lugers for themselves to better understand what it's like to be on the losing side of a World War. Stay tuned, as we have two "special appearance" Lugers that have unique histories all on their own. It's always .45 Friday here at ...
Nick and Eli Talk Colt's Pocket Pistols... Again
Просмотров 1,6 тыс.Месяц назад
It's really no secret, the boys in the Sales and Marketing Department for ACW love themselves a pre-war Colt's Pocket pistol. Nick just picked up a Colt's Model 1908 Pocket Hammerless, .380 ACP in Vegas at the Antique Arms Show, so today it will be shot for the first time in his possession. Eli, strangely enough, didn't have any of his Pocket Colt's with him, as his gun case for traveling to Te...

ACW 2024 Resto-Mod: Classic Government
Просмотров 5 тыс.2 месяца назад
By the end of the Great War (the first time we kicked Germany’s ass), the Colt’s Model of 1911 was cemented into the history books as “America’s Gun”. Even as the revolver clung to popularity, the men who were forced to “live by the gun” soon realized the Colt’s .45 was THE premier choice in handguns. By this time, Colt had commercialized their automatic success, dubbed the “Government Model” t...

How to Manipulate Tight-Fit 1911s- Alchemy Custom Weaponry
Counter argument. Glock will NEVER fire unless the trigger is pulled because of the firing pin safety. If the 1911's sear fails, it WILL fire. It's far safer from user mistakes BUT less mechanically safe.
I finally got around to shooting my full hard chrome Prime Elite. 200 230gr freedom seeds down range no problem. Gun passed the 10-8 extractor test no problem. The gun was so nice it felt like cheating shooting it.
I’m in my 20’s and Eli is funny and most importantly the best person/personality to sell 1911’s. He could make a talk show and entertain folk all around the 1911.
Really fine 1911s ! Great video too. Thank you
Alchemy does the nicest bluing I’ve ever seen. I keep a picture of one of their 1911s on my phone because it’s my dream gun.
Good stuff. Lugers are not 1911s but they are...cool.
Skoal is bad for you
My grandpa gave me his 1903 that his best friend gave him that he got in Japan in WW2
Very nice place. When I went I filmed with my GoPro and was stopped by a gentleman that asked me if I am from the press because “the city doesn’t like that”. Of course I am not from the press. Putting me in the spotlight in front of people was a bit weird.
This is hard to watch Not funny
This is the only time the rmrcc is useful. It should be thin enough for a direct cut on a 1911.
I want a red dot specific to 1911s and only 1911s.
So good to see manufacturers showing a field strip. Seems silly but with so many different setups these days and with this type of cost it’s good to see the manufacturers take the time to show you how to work their products.
Damn moose knuckle!🙄
S&W 9mm auto’s in late 1960’s!
A lot of gay tension in this video.
The Colt Python captured my heart as my favorite revolver. Love yalls taste in firearms!
Wow... that was some of the ugliest trigger pulls I seen in a while with a double action on the .357. Ya scared of it or something? Slow steady squeeze, let the hammer surprise ya. And Nugent is a goon. As a Marine I find him to be more of an embarrassing characturature of an anti-intellectual american than anything worth praise. Fun facts - Revolvers are still in service. It isn't a standard anymore, but they still persist. They are durable, reliable, cheap, and simple to operate with correct fundamentals.
Great Video guys! cant wait to see more revolver stuff in the future!
Watching this, and I see this has had 357 views. Perfection
The 1911 didn't kill the revolver. Police departments across the country, the FBI, etc. chose to carry revolvers for most of the 20th century, primarily because people were comfortable with revolvers and Colt and S&W marketed revolvers to law enforcement.
…we literally said that mere seconds after saying “the 1911 killed the revolver”. Which, the practical automatic handgun did lead to the decline of the revolver so, while not immediate, the 1911 was the first stone thrown towards the revolver’s popularity plunge.
@@1776_duckLuger came 10y before
@@454FatJack …but wasn’t adopted by the U.S. Military. The comment was referring to, in a military role, the 1911 killed the revolver in a military capacity. Again, not over night, but it did eventually.
Have told you before ... I love this channel because it's just guys having fun with guns. Y'all are great at what you do. A sincere Thank you.
Thank you!
i locked my slide with the safety, push the plug and rotate the bushing with my fingers. then i remove the plug as this is the least tensioned position. then ill pull the entire spring out, unlock the slide and the rest is, the rest. ive been doing this since i bought it in '03 and my CQB has never had any issues with any guide rods taking out light fixtures or grinding material into my bbl.

Finding out Ellie is 8 years younger than me makes me feel old. Older than any right I have to feel and I do not like it.
Stop using the word literally incorrectly.... literally infers that it is written in a published book. The goofy generation after millennials started that strange "RUclips language" with words like bruh, and horrible usage of words that are improperly applied. I like your videos but it makes you look ignorant. Please do not fall for that garbage. I respect you and your channel too much.
Worst 1911 trend. So ugly.
I used to have a "Baby Bauer", which was a stainless remake of the Baby Browning. It was my backup gun for a few years, but .25ACP was about as expensive as .357 Magnum back then, which was surprise. Then one night, my partner and I responded to a shooting, during which a gentleman had been shot 6 times in the head with a .25ACP after having lost a pharmaceutical sales territory dispute. Scalp wounds bleed like crazy and we thought, "Oh, sh**, this cat's gonna die!" He was rushes to the hospital, where he was treated and released. I went out and bought a Chiefs Special for my backup after that, using the Baby Bauer as a deposit.
Rasta hair hit’s are not leathal. Like earlobs❤
My 1908 does the same thing. I have found that it is very sensitive to cartridge length. I have found that Winchester seems to work best. My is a 1926 manufacture.
I wanted a engraved gun as a bucket list n found a nice .32 1903! Goes well with my .25, 45, Winchester 97 riot, and 1928A1Thompson! I call it my "Untouchable" set
Like mine that goes with my .32 hammerless
I’d carry one, but I’d only carry it in an actual vest pocket when wearing a suit, as a backup so something like a 1903
The 1908 25acp actually carries perfect in my jeans watch Pocket as my backup to my colt 1903 32 acp iwb.
I actually carry one once in a while. No one wants to be shot. The gun is actually pretty accurate out to 10 yards. Depending on ammo... the 25 acp is at least as powerful as a 22 lr. Which always cracks me up cause a lot of folks that laugh at the 25 acp but think a 22 is powerful enough. mine is very reliable... They were called 'Vest pocket' cause.... well... they were carried in the vest pocket or some other shallow pocket. The pockets of the day were even bigger than some of the silly 'tacticool' pants guys wear these days. I do absolutely agree that I would carry the little Colt before I would carry a glock tho... Two other mouse guns I will carry are the Savage 1907 in 32 (first double stack magazine that I know of ) This is what Bat Masterson shilled for as a sports writer.. They are complex but near 100% reliable and pretty accurate out to 25 yards or so. The other is my PPK in 32 auto. Can you say James Bond? LOL... in the books (if you have not read the books turn in your man card) Bond carried through most of em a 25 acp Berretta which he felt was powerful and accurate enough.. Later he was convinced to carry the PPK in .32 which he had to admit was more powerful and even more accurate (mine will do 3" groups at 25 yards from sandbags) Also.... with a little kitchen table gunsmith work the gun will function with PP magazines that hold 2 extra rounds but hang out the bottom a bit ... with my big hands that means 3 finger grip instead of two.
Untrue. Prior to WWI, carrying a handgun was incredibly common. As a testament to just how common, Iver Johnson used to sell cycle and revolver combos because stray dogs were such a problem for cycle riders. Carrying a gun was normal until about WWII.
One of my favorites. Mine will only run Remington UMC through it reliably for what that’s worth. But with that ammo it’s been flawless for about 300 rounds. Awesome vid
I’ve seen one at the LGS that a bought my 1903 pocket hammerless from Though it wasn’t it good shape and it didn’t have a magazine
Im a mid size guy love the full size frame with 4.2/4.25 inch barrels.
So, how about a 2011 lower that takes Hi-Power mags? Double stack, ubiquitous, and designed for 9mm from day 1. Seems kinda the retro/classic styling that would be right up Alchmey’s alley. I can’t imagine I’m the first person with this idea so I suspect there’s some good engineering reason why it’s harder than it sounds.
Sürgünün geride kitli olmasını isterdim ve sürgü düşürme mandalıda olmalıydı bunu yapmak çokta zor olmazdı bence büyük eksiklik olmuş
Especially accurized, the M14 was always a gun trying to beat itself to death. I think a bone stock M1A/M14 is worth having, but frankly only out of nostalgia, not performance.
Simply awesome!
The Gordon/Vickers Delta Carbine is definitely a vibe. Even today in 2024 the Colt 723 is no slouch. I built one and a XM-177E2 at the same time and it's difficult to choose between the two. Although I prefer the aluminum CAR stock and the 11½" 1-12" twist barrel on the XM-177E2 for burning up 55gr M193 and the Classic 1967 MACV-SOG vibes.
I own some old colt revolvers, 1911’s, as well as some older s&w revolvers from the 60’s and 70’s with the exception of some muzzle wear from the leather holsters they ride in, they look fantastic. Grew up with blue and walnut guns and I guess I’m just old and set in my ways. But I take the extra step to keep them nice and when I order my new prime which will be soon I hope , it too will be a blue 5’ govt model.
My beloved M14. As an older than dirt Marine Ive actually used one in the sand box episode 1. Accuracy is not an issue as long as you feed it a proper diet. Shooting shitty link ammo will give piss poor results. You can tell dudes balls aint dropped yet....
Been really going back and forth on who I’m going to buy my first non Colt, custom 1911 pistol. Really digging ACW and their matte chrome. I think I’m at the point of trying to pick which model for edc in full size 45.
