If only a company with manufacturing capability and an appreciation for John M Browning designs would bring back the 1903/1908 pocket hammerless in both .32 and .380. I imagine if such a company existed, they'd probably also offer an optional 1903A1/1908A1 upgrade that includes all those lovely modern features while preserving the classic lines.
I have one handed down from my grandfather. It was his "pocket gun". IMO it is the absolute perfect size for concealed carry. I rarely carry it as I am not a fan of the .32 ACP for that purpose, but otherwise it is just a beautiful little gun and perfectly sized.
Cool video! The 1903 is an awesome classic pistol. I have one from the early 1920's. Only fire it periodically. Browning really was a genius with his design. And this pistol came out before the 1911. The 32 is extremely easy to keep on target. A tad more recoil than a 22. Would like to see a company produce the model 1903 again.
The 1903, the 1908, and the 1911, cover virtually every situation, and do so with class and elegance. You should also make a modern 1908 Vest Pocket Pistol in 25ACP again. They are like a beautiful pocket watch and would sell like crazy.
I've been drooling over a handful of older pistols, one being a Remington UMC model 51 in .380 made between 1918-22 and a Yugo Zastava model 70 in 7.65mm made in 1971. Maybe someday!
Just found threaded barrels for Colt 1903 and 1908. Followed a link for SD barrels for Sig MPX and found they also make these Colt barrels. Have received mine and it is high quality. Just bought what I hope to be a "butter face" gun on GB. Now to find someone who will cut for an optic (RMRcc or Holosun 507k?) and do an interesting Ceracote.
T h a t is a nice pistol! I want one too...From the initial view I thought the gun looked like something Mr. Novak would have worked on ( I have had Mr. Novak work on one of my pistols many years ago).
The 1903 and 1908 are both model M pistols. So next time when you're referring to them you can say I have 2 model M pistols one in .32 and the other in .380 just trying to help out. Awesome video
Ah Shit..... guess what? You KNOW that ACW is going to introduce a 1903 pocket hammerless, right?!! NO way they are SO in love with it, and produce this video with such lust.... they WILL produce one, fo sho!
We just love almost all of JMBs designs…. Resurrecting the 1903 would be a monumental task for such a niche gun. Not sure if the juice is worth the squeeze
@@alchemy1911 Hi guys, just want to let you know that there is a company currently making Colt licensed copies of the 1903 right here in Pennsylvania. They’re called U.S. Armament Corp and they are based in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. It’d be awesome if you guys would collaborate with them to make a modernized version of their 1903!
Dude!!! The suppressor is actually hanging off the gun at an obvious angle that’s not straight Lol they’re both amazing tho!! I sold my compacts as well haha

A lotta work for little return
Colt did just that. About 5-6 years ago. They were Parkerized. Shop around. You may just find one.

I love my 1903. Have y’all seen the one that James Reeves from TFB TV had a micro red dot mounted on?
Back when firearms were proudly built by American craftsmen. This is the pistol to bring some "class" into your life.

Colt/U.S. Armament has been remanufactured for several years.
years ago cylinder and slide came out with a 45 acp pocket hammerless that if i hit the lottery i would love to have
That’s a rad gun
On my 3rd 1903 All great pieces
My dad passed one of these down to me recently. I am not super familiar with them, so need to find more info on it.
Sweet pistols.....thanks for sharing them. A 1908 with the same mods and a threaded barrel would be awesome. A classic with class.
Novak made gorgeous firearms. A Novak and a Devel pistol is definitely a bucket list for me. Thank you for sharing.
This is an awesome video thank you for sharing it with us. I just love the 1903!!!!
Mine was carried by grandpa when he drove his family from Northern Maine to LA in 1928. Yes he successfully used it twice on highway men .

Isn’t 25Acp terrible?
19 minutes of them two is tough
That’s not what your mom said…

Let me guess you guys making one in 380 caliber i hope soon.
The phrase "An elegant weapon, for a more civilized age" springs to mind 😏

I think Tisas should do a resurrection on the 1903/08.
Brilliant idea !!!

Love the 1903's and the comment about the border.
We cannot lie
What is that jacket Nicks rocking? I noticed it in other videos and it looks awesome.
It’s a custom Jacket that the Cabot CEO gave me as a Christmas gift a few years ago… I really like it.
@@therealnickmorrow Right on. Great chore coat/work jacket look.
My fantasy gun is a 1908 Pocket Hammerless in 9x18 Makarov with better sights and an improved thumb safety for cocked-and-locked carry
I like the 1903 pocket hammer and the 1902 civilian
What carry ammo are you guys running on your 1903s?

Thanks for the suggestion. "Model M" isn't as common nomenclature for many folks, which is why we kept it out of this video.

I too am a JMB fan boy. I like them also but I'd never carry one just because of the chambering. The 1908 though. I'm down.

My grandpa gave me his 1903 that his best friend gave him that he got in Japan in WW2
Ok, I’m going to go save my pennies so when alchemy introduces there new line on 1903/1908 At shot show 2024 I can place me order!!! 😎🤓🙌😁🇺🇸
Alchemy 1903? 🤔
Looks like a 1911 had a baby with a Tokarev
Hahahaha! Keep it real- God bless ya for not being pc.
Always!
Fn 10 vs 1903
RAD!
Sürgünün geride kitli olmasını isterdim ve sürgü düşürme mandalıda olmalıydı bunu yapmak çokta zor olmazdı bence büyük eksiklik olmuş
The olden guns were so much slimmer. Why today’s guns are so fat?
Nice ending and a big disappointment. I thought you want to start manufacturing those
I like the originals better
