This is really cool thanks for different views on different careers Dr.Webb, you give me motivation to do good in school and to stop procrastinating. You are my role model you made me want to become a orthopedic surgeon. Thanks so much! Oh and pray for me, Ramadan just started and today is the first day of fasting!
I was looking for a veterinary medical sales rep video to help teach kids about the career, but I love how Darryl explains the medical sales rep career in general. Well done!!
I’m glad you mentioned the fact that some of ur colleagues are ex Nurses and Techs. I’m a Surgical and Med-Tele RN, possibly getting into OR nursing. But I very much have an interest in getting into Orthopedic Medical Device Sales. I make great money now, but would definitely want to get into something adventurous like Medical Sales down the line
This is so interesting. I know my field is the medical field and I have a passion to go into it. I feel comfort knowing you’re so close to home (SA) because I’m from rio grande valley (4hours away). But this is inspiring and comforting to keep going.
what are the usual certifications needed to become a medical sales rep??? I have a bachelor's in Biology, did try to go all the way for the MD/DO but gave up after a couple of attempts at the MCAT. I do have a medical background, with 9 years working as an OR assistant. But, I always liked the versatility of being a sales rep in terms of the wide range of specialties one can become part of.
Thank you for your explanatory video on becoming a MDS. I am starting my training in November. Funny thing is I am also set to apply to medical school in the spring. I am not sure which way I want to go. I don't think my training will be a waste. Hopefully I can get a LOR for my medical school application. I see that you have a M.D.. Do you not use your clinical degree anymore?
I’m thinking Applying for as many companies as possible. strengthen your interview skills and make sure you tailor your resume for the industry. Best of luck
Hello i just moved to Atlanta GA and would like to know if Darryl knows of any medical sales company he can refer me to and also would he mentor me in this field? Thank you for this channel and doing this video Dr Webb it is very informative and helpful.
I have a Bachelor's in Biology and 8 yrs experience in the medical field as an Operating Room assistant. I left the medical field to try and get some sales experience, and I'm trying to get back in as a medical device rep or pharma sales rep, but it has been hard for the past 6 months. Not sure if you have any advise on the matter because I can tell you that I have been applying non-stop to every company you can think of with no particular place in mind other than landing the opportunity and being able to work hard at it wherever the opportunity may present itself. So not sure if there is something I should do to better my chances or whatnot. Any help is appreciated.
This guy has no experience and is surrounded by people with years of experience and knowledge and degrees if this doesn’t prove that life is a joke!!! I don’t know what does like why not put an experienced professional in front of the camera instead of this guy that reads on his lunch break in between his finessing 😂😂 he won’t tell you how he really got that position 🎉❤
You’ve gotta be a skilled conversationalist and salesperson 💪
