When you apply the organic fertilizer do you place at the drip line or from the trunk outwards and do you water it in as well?

I would apply evenly under the canopy of the entire tree and top with mulch. Yes, it works well to water it in once you've applied it to the soil.

Hi Brandon, your grandmother used to have beautiful gardens, she had an awesome green thumb for plants and trees. I on the other hand struggle with growing plants and I don't have trees, but, I remember she used to use potato peelings, egg shells and coffee grounds for her garden and as I said before she always had beautiful gardens. What is your opinion on using these to help plant growth and how exactly does it work? Do I still need to fertilize the plants? When I'm talking about plants, I mean indoor and out door plants and flowers. I'm kind of learning my way around gardening. Thank you for the information on fruit trees, I've been looking at possibly getting a lemon tree and growing it in a pot. The spreadsheet provided some really great information. Again, thank you...love your videos.

Hi Gary! you can download a guide for how often to fertilize at my website, the link is in the description. You can use any organic fertilizer you like, it doesn't have to be a "citrus" fertilizer. Sprinkle the fertilizer around your trees and then cover with wood chip mulch. Good luck!

Hi Brandon, My Farm consists 1800-2000 sweet citrus plants.
Is there any techniques to fertilize at vast level..?
And After mulching, how to fertilize in 2nd phase ?
Do I have to remove mulch then fertilize ?
I would appreciate if you can help me with some suitable techniques to all these things.?

That's a lot of trees, you might want to research available options in your area and see what would work best for your situation. Heavily mulching the soil with wood chips will be a good idea regardless, and you can just add the fertilizer right on top and let it works it's way in over time. You'll want to fertilize based on the size of the trees, if you're using organics then you can apply them in small amounts over the entire growing season. Hope that helps!

Hello Branden again , forgot to say how I water each tree has a bunker on every tree , do you think it be a good idea to maybe run a soaker hose HOW to you water to keep the mulch wet or damp how to you do that thanks again Gary

For trees you probably would be better off using flood irrigation in the basins. Deep watering is always best for trees. Your trees age, environmental conditions, and soil type around your trees will determine how often you should be watering. Good luck!

What are your thoughts on the slow release furtilizing spears that go in the ground?

If they're made from organic materials then they probably are ok, but I personally don't have any experience with them. Hope that helps!
