Drew was right this is solid
Mid
Drew Carey?
“Left field, Bart’s favorite position, will now be known as Bartland USA” is easily my favorite part of this skit.
Soon everyone will be here from Drew
Hello
What's drew
@@averagejobogioDrew Gooden
I like Drew Carey too.
Brilliant! From now on, SNL will be known as Saturday Night Phil. SNP.
I recently learned that Bart Giamatti was Paul Giamatti's dad.
Drew brought me here
Who the hell is Drew? Carey? Barrymore? Pearson? I'm drawing a blank on Drew.
you mean danny gonzalez?
Slowly ive been recomended every sketch drew talked about
Ironically one of the names of that 1989 Series was called “The BART Series” after the trains that ran between SF and Oakland.
Kinda was forgotten after Game 2 due to the Pregame Earthquake that rocked Northern California. After that they dedicated the Series to the people who lost their lives in that quake.
His banning of Pete Rose in his short term as commissioner would cast a long shadow over baseball. Few would have believed his son would one day host Saturday Night Live.
they should have had Pete Rose make an appearance in this skit.
I think this skit is a lot funnier once you know that this is bout Paul Giamatti's dad.
I like how this skit didnt just go a little over the top, it blew off the top and flew to the moon
Bartland USA
1:31 - Paul Giamatti's dad, incidentally.
He died a month before the episode, Paul had just graduated from Yale and was not famous yet at all, I wonder how he reacted to the sketch
I hope they redo this skit whenever Lorne Michaels retires
danny brought me here
Yesterday, April 15th, every player wore 42 on their uniform and was announced as "Number 42" when they came to bat or entered the game. Real life imitates parody.
That's been a thing since 2004. And it's a reference to a proposal that all of the Brooklyn Dodgers wore the number 42 during one game in solidarity/subterfuge against a death threat against Jackie Robinson.
@@SamAronowwell I can’t believe this and apologies for the long message but was just scrolling through these comments and saw yours and remembered I saw geneavlogger’s series on your family and it was fascinating! I wonder what the chances are I ran into this comment on an old SNL video lol
Back when all SNL skits didn't have to be over the top, laughing, falling down humor.
Let’s do all that…but for the kid on “The Simpsons” instead.
Damn I’m the first comment after 8 years
Why does this not have any views it’s hilarious
Why was this so uncomfortable to watch
Incredibly boring sketch
