1:30 that’s the give away that he’s not a real inspector. A real inspector will not sit and argue with you to try to convince you, they will give you the citation and tell you to get it fixed. They don’t care if you want to do it or not, it’s going to be the authority that will make you comply. They might be nice and explain it to you, but whether or not you believe them, it’s not their concern.
That's a good point. But since they really don't have the authority behind them, that's their best play
One of the red flags with any con artist is that they try to instill a sense of urgency. You must do this now or this will happen. That is when you ask them to leave and call the authorities.
Love how when they say "Was that specific enough for you?" Skyler is gloating and arrogant, while Kuby is humble and slightly apologetic
Gloating an arrogant? IMO she was pissed off because Bogdan was being difficult and had seemingly been a total jerk to work for, so she had no patience for his excuses.

We have to really appreciate just how GOOD Kuby is, like he had to take in all of that information, or say it as it was coming in, and sound like he knew it offhand. Me personally, I would have struggled to repeat back word for word and sound like I knew what I was talking about. And he's never even HEARD those laws before, Huell and Kuby were kinda goofy at times, but they were very good at what they did. Haha

After watching this clip again I can kind of see what might have attracted Walter to Skyler. While his personality differs greatly (seems more introverted) he has a lot of the same characteristics as Skyler.... attention to detail, perfectionism, vengefulness
BB is one of my favorite shows of all time. But one thing I thought the show did wrong in the final season is morally letting Skyler off the hook for two things. One, she seemed to revel in her ability to be an effective criminal almost as much as Walt. Even though she is correct that Walt brought them into this life without asking her she took things farther then she needed at every juncture because like Walt she took pleasure in being good at it. Two she neglects to reflect on how her emasculation of Walt pushed him in that direction.

Owner was clearly corrupt and chummy with the previous inspector “Gary” so my guess would be he knows nothing about standard procedure and verification methods. He also clearly wanted to keep this quiet for as long as possible as well, so it makes sense that he’s falling for it.
It’s easy to see a perfect solution when you have both the foresight and hindsight to know what’s really going on.
If that type of thing bothers you, you probably shouldn’t watch TV.
Never heard of Bill Burr before Breaking Bad then realized I have seen him before after research. He did a great job as Kuby, loved his personality and confidence in his character. Since then I've been a big Bill Burr fan especially when he does standup

I love how Bogdan tries to sweep it under the rug and bullshit his way out of it "Ok, so sorry, you're right. For now on, we'll be extra careful and clean. No more pollution." This was so satisfying to watch. I wish Skylar fully embraced Mrs. Heisenberg for the rest of the show.

while the scene is funny, IRL you could easily verify if the person doing the " testing" was legitimate. Just contact the local EPA office and see if a person matching that name and description works for them..or even if they sent a tester out recently.
Poor Bogdan, if he'd just given Skyler and Walter the respect they deserved, he could have sold his carwash for 879,000 Dollars instead of 800,000. Or if he had waited until Walt got the 80 million, then Skyler may have considered the £20,000,000 offer.

So many people I know hated Skylar from day 1 but I just didn't get it. I mean sure she could be a bit of a crappy person at times but who wasn't in this show? This is the scene made me cave to the hatred. Destroying an innocent man's livelihood like this just flipped my opinion of her entirely.
I think a lot of people bandwagon hate on her because she didn’t support Walt’s very immoral drug empire. However one thing I do not like her for is cheating on Walt with Ted ( before Walt was really a monster) mainly because she SUSPECTED he was cheating because of two phones

I hated Skyler for not following through on her threats to call the police. She knew Walt wasn’t just dealing drugs he was killing people. She could’ve gotten out but she didn’t until it was too late. I didn’t ‘hate’ Skyler cause she was a bad character, I hate her the way they intended me to hate her as well as Walt.
I hated her from the first episode. It's Walt's birthday and she just gives him an awkward handjob? At least use your mouth for something other than talking! 👄

For those thinking that Bogdan IRL would have verified this easily, let me tell you why he didnt, or couldnt. Its probably, because Bogdan hasnt been doing business honestly(not that hes evil, many are forced to become dishonest or even dirty in business). He had his illegal immigrants, and seemed to be relying on Gary? The original inspector who he definitely bribed. Hence he was reliant on him. He cant make a call to the authorities, because once you really do, fake or not the thats when the authorities REALLY look in. And then theres no Gary that can help him in all these minor to major violations.
Why did Bill Barr have to go and shave his head? So handsome here.
The house i grew up is 2 blocks from this car was. Still there but looks a little different. Its always weird watching this show with scenes of places i have walked and driven by 100 times. Im sure people from bigger cities get to experience this far more often, but Albuquerque isnt know for a whole lot of good things, much less the state its self. So its always puts a little smile on my face. Lol the poor people with the pizza on the roof still get harassed by fans to this day from what i hear. Hahaha

This is one of the reasons I think Skylar was wrong for turning on Walt. She played the game too.
She played it after he got her into it. She couldn't bring herself to divorce him because she loved him (irrational decision) so she had to at least make sure he doesn't get IRS down on their asses. And when she played the game, she did not aim to hurt or kill people, and when her meddling got someone hurt, she could barely handle it. AND she held herself accountable, she KNEW she wasn't innocent- AND that she wasn't right. Walt can claim none of those things.

One brillant RUclips reviewer completely ruined this part of BB when he cleverly pointed out that the writers temporarily character-assassinated Saul, transforming him into a useless moron so that Skylar could have something to do and become the new Saul. Skylar should not be doing this, this should be a Saul con.

I haven't rewatched in awhile, but I thought Skylar's active role had more to do with using the money laundering to enact vengeance against Bogdon. Saul rightfully did not want to make the laundering operation more complicated then needed just for this personal vendetta.

It would've been better if they never revealed it was Skyler on the other end of the phone. You would've had Bill's character just going off telling what these laws were and people would speculate how he could've possibly have known. You could've tweaked the phone-call scene with Skyler but oh well..
Instead of having Skyler scramble for the papers, she should have had them prepared nice and neat to show her effectiveness in this situation, and to make Bill Buff firing off those citations feel natural. Otherwise we're left to believe he was just standing there awkwardly for multiple long seconds, looking like an idiot while Skyler scrambled for the right codes.
Bill Burr is good.
