VERY IMPORTANT: I am a private pilot and am NOT qualified to give flying instruction. This video, like all videos on this channel, has been significantly edited from the original source footage and is provided for entertainment purposes only. Many radio calls and procedures have been omitted. If you have any questions about anything you see or hear, please speak to a Certified Flying Instructor first.
867 Shaft Horsepower! When you set full takeoff power and hold the breaks its full right rudder to try and keep it straight down the runway! Love flying the EX, enjoyed the video.
Thanks Steveo, I thought you’d enjoy this one mate :)
Is that a basic takeoff technic for a single engine prop€?
steveo1kinevo cant wait to start flying the caravan
“I don’t know this guy, Cessna sent me the footage and I liked it” - Stefan Drury 😂
Mike and James are legends...used to bring all the demo Textron stuff through Execujet back in the day... Great blokes
I fly this bird in my sim ALL the time. I LOVE this plane. Thank you for this video.
Hi Stefan, many thanks for this fabulous vid. Brought back memories of flying from Maun into the Okavango delta in one of these caravans. Tour leader weighed all our luggage as the plane was ‘full’. Got to sit next to the pilot and checked with him about the permissible loading of the plane: he laughed hard and took off like a rocket. Landed and took off from a gravel runway. Never felt so much acceleration in a small plane with 10 on board. Bet having the controls was a blast...envious as hell. Keep on exploring and sharing your experiences on different types: love it. Cheers
Nice big comfortable plane, love the way you enter via stairs unlike smaller GA aircraft. Used to watch Steveo fly one of theses which i found very entertaining. Thanks Stef
Lovely video Stef. I didn't appreciate how big a plane it is UNTIL you see the final few seconds of the video with the guy at the front of the aircraft. Wow!
One of my favorite planes !
Only seen the thumbnail. Can already tell it’s going to be AMAZING!
TY for the Excellent Videos and you Have our Utmost Respect ✊
I was fortunate to fly the previous caravan over lake eyre in full flood. I was on a scenic flight , the pilot gave me control ,great experience.
Another great video. Keep up the good work
Yet another great video :)
Nice video Stefan. Thanks
Amazing video!👍
Interesting talking about skydiving, the caravans have been a big part of my life and yes, I jumped out of one. Amazing airplanes.
Great review Stefan!
Cool video Mike. From one of your Salina buddies.
Awesome..
Super Video
Just Do It Stef! Started skydiving in my 40s. Continued through my 50s. It will add a new level of confidence and ability to manage cockpit tasks. Skip the tandem and take the AFF course straight away. You won’t regret it. Just Do It! 😉
Ps... And naturally I would expect a complete video series.
Cool video!
Awesome video, looks like a great bird to fly
867 from 675 is a very nice increase ! That should definitely should be noticeable on take off.
Whats the RRP ( plus on road costs?) Fantastic vision as always Stef and a great guy to fly with. Melbourne looked great on such a lovely day !! It appears to be such a versatile aircraft and probably also suited for operations with the RFDS ? Well done again mate as always !!
Stefan, I bought that headphone splitter you had recommended in a much earlier video, was getting a lot issues with my headset, and at one point the audio cut out, where I could not hear ATC. Just curious how you are capturing your radios comms currently in 2019, wondering if anything has changed for you.
That looked like fun Stef and superb quality exterior shots. Very detailed and sharp. What were you filming at?
Stefan,
Looks big but handles easily.
So where is my fellow Yankee from?
Cheers,
Rik Spector
You were defo getting shaken up there and not stirred 😁
It ain't pretty. It ain't fast. It ain't fancy. ( Dunno why I'm typing in a Southern American accent). But, by crikey, it does the job and does it well. Another great Cessna. Cheers Stef
Ok Mr Bean!! You got me hooked. Your video for the Singapore Airlines training facility popped up in my suggestions, l clicked and 👍, then thought who is this guy and where have you been hiding. I am an absolute Aviation geek (you get that when your ex hubby is a MA pilot), lm addicted by default😅😅
Your videos are so awesome and top that off with lm from Melbourne Australia, soooo l subbed for more. Thankyou and keep up the great content.
Hey there, thanks for checking out my videos and welcome to the channel. Nice to have another fellow Melbournian here in the community. Cheers, stef
Stefan Drury: No wezzas!!
I'm looking forward to flying one as a Professional Pilot
I don't know why i like this type of aircraft maybe because i love camping. This aircraft can go to rough and rugged places like Africa and Deep inside Amazon and Indonesia. Maybe one day i can own it. I hope.
You should do a day in a life of a pilot
the original Caravans were underpowered... this.... THIS is awesome ! Anyone had one up in Icing conditions yet??? The old ones were a bit of a death-trap in ice... mainly due to lack of HP.
Would you ever be flying for a living.? Seems like you are ready for more complex aircraft than the cirrus. . . ,!!! Greetings from México
Your headset is backwards
nice... btw, i've seen it before in your vids, whats with the yellow patches of earth?
Canola fields in bloom probably
Nice & Interesting Vlog

Thanks, welcome to the channel.
How does this compare with Kodiak 100? Bit bigger I guess.
Your headset is on backwards
another question sorry i dont remember way the king send u long time agow tu australia ha
So the EX is a fixed landing gear?
ALL caravans are fixed gear
Stefan,
Cirrus or Cessna?
Mooney 👌🏾😛
Beechcraft
@@rainboiotal4365 post Textron no. Definitely the case pre Textron
Anybody knows where is the window deicing button?
With the TKS option, the windshield anti-icing is provided from the propeller slinger.
qual e o valor desse avião ?
what about the fiji a350 ?
):
Coming Monday, even I can’t edit THAT fast :)
Did we find out what the EX means?I may have missed it, just curious..Good vid all the same
69th comment. Nice 👌.
*02:38** fLAPS FULL FOR TAKE OFF!?*
Looks like its set to "TO" (takeoff), not full flaps.
T/O ?
pause at 2:39 and look at the throttle quadrant.... black lever on left of the quadrant is wing flaps, they are set to T/O position. (take Off)
1:40 😂
talks about ray bans yet they both have polarized lenses with glass cockpit...
No rules stating you can’t use polarising lenses in a glass cockpit. I fly a glass SR22 and sometimes fly with polarising lenses in that too. Each to their own.
Polarized lenses only matter if they end up blocking out some of your displays. I almost never have an issue with mine unless I rotate my head all the way to one side
Stefan Drury im not saying you cant use them. Sometimes polarized lenses can give distorted colors or give the “rainbow effect” on glass cockpit displays thats all. So generally most pilots get non polarized to ensure that doesnt happen
This should be fun... But... The caravan is one of the ugliest existing plane! ;)
