Me too, the D6 is a good bike, but it does take a couple of minutes to set it up. Grabbing a skateboard for a quick roll around the apron / terminal is a good quick option if I'm not going too far.

Great video. I was at Oriens yesterday at Biggin Hill and saw N55557 and thought I must catch up on your latest couple of videos on the channel. Good work 👍
I'm so happy I'm pursuing flying, seeing people like you sharing your story and experience makes me so happy I am giving this career ago. I've been working through the Lockdown in NZ as a supermarket checkout person, I've been working to pay for my PPL so that I can go to a flying school next year. Hopefully in the near future I'll have the delight to be in the same airspace as you :))
Good work Daniel, you’ll enjoy the fruits of your labour soon enough I bet, and I look forward to sharing the skies with YOU in the future too. All the best mate.
This was me yesterday! After not flying for a long time due to what shall not be named I went out a x country to a busy controlled airport. I almost noped out of it as I was getting ready for departure, then I continued and had a load of fun and got a huge confidence boost. Sadly the longer flight that was planned for tomorrow was cancelled because I just can't get through to anyone (airfield is PPR), but I will still be flying! Just going somewhere else. Btw if you ever come back to Germany, get in touch! Oh and bring hiking gear ;)
I’ve been reluctant to get back into aviation training after being discouraged and overwhelmed learning about it; but this channel has restarted my spark
Thanks for visiting my old home town. Haven’t been able to get over there since February and see my family. Wasn’t an easy vid to watch but good to see the area is looking good.
I know the feeling. I've stayed close to home myself, but with things starting to calm down did my first flight in a while to somebody else's airport. Last week, an hour each way. Didn't do much when I got there: used the bathroom, bought gas, chatted with a couple of people. It still felt good.
Every step is a victory, I think we can unfairly punish ourselves for not achieving the maximum each time. Even a small step forward is still a step forwards. Thanks for sharing Laura.
Hey Stef! I'm a new subscriber and really enjoying watching through your videos. You've encouraged me to take a step back, reassess and change things in my life so I can achieve my long held dream of flying. Thank you and keep doing what you're doing!
Regarding feeling nervous and a little bit of trepidation before a flight. I feel that is necessary and a *good* thing. It keeps you on your toes and more focused. I love to channel that nervous energy into focus and being present whilst flying.
Love the video Stef, thank you. Would you be able to show a few of the other planes on the ground next time you’re at the airfield? Interesting to see what other planes are out there and hear your thoughts on them. Keep it up!
I think this video is a hidden treasure. As a PPL pilot I struggle to USE my airplane to DO stuff rather than DO fly my airplane for no use at all. Its a huuuuge topic that needs to be adressed. Good job!
I thought I was the only one with some trepidation getting back in the air. I too recently cancelled a flight due to uncertain feelings. I decided to do the small bites like you mentioned. I did my flight review, then went up by myself for an hour to get out of my "comfort zone". Now going to drag an instructor with on cross country flight to knock the rust off that, and because my friends aren't aviation enthusiasts. It's more fun with someone. Thanks for putting your feelings to words so we can all relate.

Nice one Stef. Glad you went to it in the end. At the start when you asked yourself if you had forgotten something there was a bit of a jump. Had you? Stefan I really enjoy your videos. Thanks for it and please continue! Now on a more down to earth plane- do you mind saying something about your folding bike? I been looking into something like it for my C182 but need two, so space is at a premium.
Hello from Arizona! Great video and sentiments (as usual) Stefan! Can you post the model/manufacturer of the folding bike you used? I am looking for one that easily fits in the cirrus luggage door and want to avoid lots of product returns due to trial and error. Thx and keep it up!
Thanks for sharing this Stefan! I learnt to fly out of Moorabbin at RVAC.. been 6 years since my last flight.. you’ve motivated me to not only get out the house more but to make it a goal to get back in the air.. Thanks again
Good on you mate, I can totally understand a reluctance to get moving again especially after everything so many people are going through right now. But take it slow, take small steps, and remind yourself how awesome this world really is. Good luck, I know it's hard, but I hope you find some renewed happiness out there.
My first flight once we lifted the lockdown here was awesome. So incredibly peaceful. I’m also a lot more inspired to fly to new places now as well - I think just being told I wasn’t allowed to fly for a couple of months changed my mind about some things
The skinny runway at Colac made landing as a student pilot very challenging especially with crosswind. The fist time, I clearly remember doubting my ability on turning final but as we got closer it looked much more possible with the runway perception widening. The crosswind did not help either but after that landing , I did feel some sense of accomplishment. Thank you for making this video Stef!! Loved it.
Yeah it's a narrow one that's for sure! And the wind was probably 70º crosswind for that landing. You can see the wing camera is actually over the grass it's that thin, not much room for error so you want to be solid on the rudder pedals. Nice job landing down there as well, hope your flying is going well Aditya.

It's always amazes me to think that you have just woken up in Australia while I'm laying in bed at 12am. The world is so small and big at the same time if you think about it. Greetings from Holland!
Your candid comments on how you feel about being at home is commendable Stefan, it helps us all to understand we are not alone. Tomorrow (24/06/2020) will be the 100th day of Lockdown for me and my wife as we come under “At Risk”, however News yesterday from the UK government was we can get out in early July, and by August we can go shopping again. So can I just say Thank You for all the help you have given me during Lockdown, by that I mean I have been re-visiting you previous videos and I felt I’m in the plane with you. LOL Stefan... I saw you hit the Terrain button when it started barking. Early on with my G2 a pilot friend and I went to a short strip on an island for multiple landing practice and that thing was driving us nuts! I didn't discover that button until after.
EYZ is great to have that built into the dash. Otherwise reaching down to find the TAWS circuit breaker is not something I would recommend on short final. Not sure why Colac isn't in the Garmin Database though.

Just discovered your channel ... my son and his dad are pilots so I’m very interested 👍🏻
How did i just realise you're littarly across from where the flight school im training from :P (Tristar).
I've followed you for a while now and it just hit me.
Hi Stefan! Quality content as usual! :)
Done so many circuits at colac ha. Good little airport, lots of training visits by various schools!
Yeah my instructor does some of his PPL training there too. Nice narrow runway, keeps you honest on the rudder pedals!
1:32 love how you did that quick cut lol
LOL Stefan... I saw you hit the Terrain button when it started barking. Early on with my G2 a pilot friend and I went to a short strip on an island for multiple landing practice and that thing was driving us nuts! I didn't discover that button until after.
EYZ is great to have that built into the dash. Otherwise reaching down to find the TAWS circuit breaker is not something I would recommend on short final. Not sure why Colac isn't in the Garmin Database though.
Great vid as always; amusing, wonderfully edited, and love your candidness.
