I've been flying the Caravan in the new flight simulator and although it's on a computer, I have become so fond of the plane. So, it's really interesting to watch an actual pilot who knows what he's actually doing fly the plane. Thanks for sharing
I have flown caravans quite a bit , 208b and ex models, g1000 and steam gauge, great plane, very versatile and you will almost never over load it... takes off quick and stops on a dime 500ft some have done 400ft in full reverse
Fantastic video. I have my ppl and instrument rating returning to aviation after a 10-year hiatus pursuing another career. This is so well filmed and gives me much more excitement to return to the sky. Thank you sir.
Appreciate your comments on the Caravan's power controls. Always enjoy watching the instruments, too; especially on an ILS approach... nice flight captain!
Hello, Jim. I am sorry to see the Challenger go to lease, but look forward to seeing the Sovereign. The Caravan looks like such a pleasure to fly, and the view from the cockpit is amazing. Stay safe!
Cleared direct both ways... sweet. Thanks for posting it. Years ago I used to fly my C-150 with the windows open on a nice summer day at about 70 mph. Great fun, good memories.
That storm window makes for a great ash tray. When I took my instrument check ride 200 years ago in a PA28 the DE asked if he could smoke, I told him only above 10,000 feet unless you are a DE and passed my check ride.
Enjoyed this video over territory familiar to me. I live not far from the Hallsville VOR and I have farmed the fields surrounding the powerplant you flew over near Labadie, MO. Flown many times into Vichy in Rolla and over the Ozark lakes (LOTO, Bull Shoals, etc).
Another nice, relaxed flight in a very cooperative Caravan. I hope your passengers didn’t mind me riding along. I tried to be quiet, honest. Thanks for the invite.
Thanks for the ride Captain. I really enjoy the caravan. Those controllers seemed to be extra busy this trip too. Beautiful day for flying. Thanls again.
I love Ft Smith airport, used to work at the Best Buy that overlooks runway 7, loved to watch the A-10s touch and go, and F-16s would come in every now and again for refueling. Met my wife at that store.
Ah Ft Smith. Spent 98 days TDY at Ft Chaffee in 1975. We took lots of trips to the airport to shuttle folks to and from. Vietnamese relocation. Flew in and out on Braniff 727’s and Frontier CV 580’s, those were the days.
I'm very envious you get to fly in such a nice aircraft. I'm learning in an old 152 with an interior that looks like some bears were fighting in it. Unfortunately, not much in the way of work for Caravans here in the UK.
Just subscribe to your channel, and like. Love your professionalism and the calmness in which you handled your duties and performance. Thanks for your great videos.👍🏻
Always enjoy "flying with you". I don't get to log any time, but I'm not paying for Jet-A either. Looked like the yoke switches and trim control could use some super-glue, always fun with that happens on (very) short final :-) Thanks for the ride along!
Lol that Caravan will run over a large alligator and be nonevent . Cool video good luck on the flying just got over my 22 year mark . 91 is the best. Good job on the Health Routine !
Thanks for the video, they are so slive and real. Ijust love aĺl the little bots of every day life. You have a ghtest life.unfortunately l lost my licence formefical reasons
First time watching your channel. Love how cool and calm you appear in your videos. Almost like Bob Ross of the skies! Hahaha. Also, that’s a beautiful caravan! Loved the video.
Good to know you are going to fly the Sovereign! You will absolutely love it! I did my initial in Wichita back in 2013, and im still currently flying it. Looking forward for the videos, cheers from Brazil!
Captain, really enjoyed the video with the camera angles you used. Hope the flying picks up for you and your team. Good luck and fly safe. FYI- Had some Corky’s BBQ the other day. The original restaurant on poplar.
The beauty of the Caravan ... a 172 on steroids, airliner comfort without any fancy new stuff to learn when stepping up from a single engine piston Cessna.
At 13:24 you can see the midland ave. Bridge and the railroad bridge that cross the Arkansas river. That railroad bridge was filmed in the Movie Biloxi blues and is used by the Arkansas Missouri railroad. Holy crap this video is cool.
G, day Captain Moonbeam, hope all is well. The Cessna caravan is looking fantastic. Looks like your having low-pressure systems, maybe associated with two (2) cyclones (Hurricane) southern Tx.🕊
CPT, is there a chance for a wider presentation of this beautiful plane from the outside and inside, as well as a description of your experience with it?
27:34 - Eagle, left downwind for 8 left. That FOD is a rabbit. We're circling back to pick it up. Tower - Number 2, following the caravan on short final.
Nice video, love the Caravan, looks like it was a great day to fly. I was supposed to start flying SUS to FSM a few times a month for a new client but they closed their offices to visitors due to COVID. Too bad, looks like a beautiful flight. Good to know that I can get cleared direct if I file for 7/8000.
The Cessna Caravan is one of my favorite aircraft. With that being said, typical Cessna quality is clearly seen on the Captain-side yoke. This plane looks fairly new and already the yoke is coming apart....People always assume aviation components are world-class and are near perfect in comparison to land machine components but that's simply not true; they just cost 10x more and sometimes they are crappier.
Hi I enjoyed your video. I seem to be getting it right with MSFS2020. One thing I noticed. You kept the prop forward all the time on the way out. On your return you pulled it back. Why did you do that? Never sure when to use the prop lever.
Love the caravan videos!!!
Thanks.
I've been flying the Caravan in the new flight simulator and although it's on a computer, I have become so fond of the plane. So, it's really interesting to watch an actual pilot who knows what he's actually doing fly the plane. Thanks for sharing
What flight simulator did you purchase? I’m looking for one to use.
@@chelseacheluget82 I'm using Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. If your computer can handle it, it's really worth it!
I have flown caravans quite a bit , 208b and ex models, g1000 and steam gauge, great plane, very versatile and you will almost never over load it... takes off quick and stops on a dime 500ft some have done 400ft in full reverse
Btw, hardest part of caravan is memorizing all emergency procedures ( which isnt that hard)... the stimulator is harder to fly than the real plane
Didn’t realize Caravans were that posh. Thank for sharing, Captain. Nice flights and tutoring.
I enjoy flying along with you..espically in the Caravan ..thanks foe sharing .
The caravan is such an awesome plane. I hope I get an opportunity to sit up front one day.
Great video. I’m a private pilot and enjoy your videos where you don’t chatter all the time and just give us some great views and a cockpit tour.
Fantastic video. I have my ppl and instrument rating returning to aviation after a 10-year hiatus pursuing another career. This is so well filmed and gives me much more excitement to return to the sky. Thank you sir.
I always love Caravan videos. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing a day in the life
Thanks for sharing, Jim. I enjoy the Caravan flights.
Hello, Jim. I am sorry to see the Challenger go to lease, but look forward to seeing the Sovereign. The Caravan looks like such a pleasure to fly, and the view from the cockpit is amazing. Stay safe!
I just love the caravan. A multi purpose airplane. Thanks for sharing!
Loved that plane, flew in the Caribbean 2007-2008 , forgiving fun plane
Cleared direct both ways... sweet. Thanks for posting it. Years ago I used to fly my C-150 with the windows open on a nice summer day at about 70 mph. Great fun, good memories.
I used to do the same thing in a Cessna 152 over the rice fields in eastern Arkansas. Loved it.
Good little flight to FS and back Capt. Gotta love the sound of a Caravan passing overhead!
That storm window makes for a great ash tray. When I took my instrument check ride 200 years ago in a PA28 the DE asked if he could smoke, I told him only above 10,000 feet unless you are a DE and passed my check ride.
What a beautiful machine.
Nice flying sir 👍💯👮✈

Thanks Dean.
I used to live right next to fort smith! Dude this is so cool to see a video of my old stomping grounds from the air.
Another nice, relaxed flight in a very cooperative Caravan. I hope your passengers didn’t mind me riding along. I tried to be quiet, honest. Thanks for the invite.
Love the view out of the caravan
nice to see you back
The valley! Awesome, I live there too.
Great Video last time I saw side window like that i was flying Cessna 188
Thanks for the ride Captain. I really enjoy the caravan. Those controllers seemed to be extra busy this trip too. Beautiful day for flying. Thanls again.

I forgot I watched this video 2 years ago, and was about to leave this same comment again! Either way, just as good the second time around!
Thanks for sharing the wonderful journey Cap ;-)

Good to see a new video from you, Jim! Was great meeting you at CRG; thanks for taking a bit to talk to us!
You really are living the dream! Hat's off to you sir :)
Those take-offs with the Caravan look so smooth
Amazing visibility in that Caravan.
Welcome back, missed your videos. As always thank you.
Thanks.
Caravan seems like a smooth and balanced airframe. I'd like to get a chance to fly one, one of these days. Great content Captain.
I think You'd like it. lots of fun to fly.
Beautiful day to fly Jim. Thanks for sharing.
This is actually a very well done video. Thank you for sharing it.

Caravan is by far my favorite!!
Great flight Captain, thanks for sharing!...
I'm very envious you get to fly in such a nice aircraft. I'm learning in an old 152 with an interior that looks like some bears were fighting in it. Unfortunately, not much in the way of work for Caravans here in the UK.
Looking forward to the Citation coming Jim! but I love the Caravan too.

I flew out of there this morning in a caravan on my first test flight of one.
Just subscribe to your channel, and like. Love your professionalism and the calmness in which you handled your duties and performance. Thanks for your great videos.👍🏻
Flying out to my home. Nice.

Looking very nice. Hahaha, I hear you about the coffee!!!! I feel the same about my coffee also.
Always enjoy "flying with you". I don't get to log any time, but I'm not paying for Jet-A either.

New here. That was excellent!
I fly on Caravans in Brazil going into the Amazon to fish. They're on floats. Totally awesome airplane.
Caravan anfíbio na Amazônia ? Muito massa em!
Great video, Jim, as always.
Great landing!
Lol that Caravan will run over a large alligator and be nonevent . Cool video good luck on the flying just got over my 22 year mark . 91 is the best. Good job on the Health Routine !

Awesome! I never see any Caravans here at FSM! I wish I would have caught you here! -Cheers!

I knew I couldn't be the only one who liked sticking their hand out the window!
You're not alone Alex.

Not often you have to slow for a Gulfstream I'd guess, thanks for the Caravan content, love that plane!

Great Fly! I Love This Plane!
Deepest condolences at the loss of the Challenger.
CPT, is there a chance for a wider presentation of this beautiful plane from the outside and inside, as well as a description of your experience with it?
Very enjoyable. Very impressive/ professional.
thanks Daniel.
Neat airplane!
Another good one ☝️

Seems like that's happened a lot. Hopefully they'll start flying more. This was just a one time trip for us.

On the contrary most aircraft parts are designed for further enhanced reliability, even older looking models have perfect flight capability

Sweet plane
The best videos always.
Thanks for another Great Video :)
carbondale 327V is from my flight school! sometimes i forget your out of St.louis. Howdy neighbor lol
Great video. Curious to know what settings you are using on the GoPros to avoid flicker on the Garmin screens.
My favorite plane
Thanks Jim! 😉
