It looks so much better on the Comanche than the gladiators looks like it belongs need to fill in the holes with some tow hooks like from a 90s z71 model and it’ll set that bad boy off!!!!
this is one of the best DIY mods you can do on a Comanche, that bumper is perfect for the truck, when i originally saw the post on CC i wanted one on my Comanche too.
Having known about your 88 Comanche from your day job. I didn't know you were documenting your build on RUclips. After I bought an 89 2wd 2.5L 4 speed I stumbled upon your channel. Great content! Thanks for sharing.
Dirt bound off Road makes a rear bumper for the Comanche. I have one ordered for mine. It is called monte Rey. They also have body armor for the rear corners of the truck bed that bolts right to the bumper looks really good. I bought the steel side panels for fender flares. They’re at the powder. Coaters now seem to be a great product. Thanks for posting.
Yeah, I saw the Dirt Bound one, but I got this bumper pretty cheap so I wanted to see if I could make it work. I really like the Dirt Bound one though!
I absolutely love your channel. Started watching from the beginning last night. Can't believe that you are in Hudsonville. We are out by Gun Lake. Looking for a Comanche myself to restore. Would you happen to know of any around? Would love to see yours. Thanks.
Sorry for the delay. Somehow I never saw this comment. There was another one for sale in Hudsonville for a while, but he seems to change his mind on posting it quite a bit. Did you ever find one?
No problem. I did end up buying a 1983 Jeep J10 in Arizona and shipped it back here. In the process of doing a frame off restoration on it. I'm sure it will take a couple years.
@@officialWWM There aren't exactly a lot of options for the comanche rear bumper lol, and I think it brings a nice modern touch. Planning on doing the same to mine!
Looks great! thanks for the how-to, something to consider for my MJ. The tow hook holes on the bumper could work for a back-up/rear light
Good call! Hadn't thought of that.
Looks great!
Thanks!
I just recently put one on my Comanche cause of this video. Looks so good!
Have you thought about converting to 4 wheel drive? Pretty sure the front axle bolts right in. Just a thought. Great video!
Yup I think that’s the plan eventually. I’m keeping my eye out for a 4wd XJ so I can just buy a complete parts vehicle.
Warning for those listening with headphones, 1:09 is an ear drum killer.
Was looking at doing this with mine but after market jt bumper
Does this bumper work with a class III hitch or does it obstruct it?
Not sure. I’m planning on doing some kind of hitch setup in the future, but not sure how I’m going to do it yet.
cardboard templating is a great way to make it perfect before cutting. cardboard Aided Design.....cAD
Amen! Gotta love CAD!
Good video sir,We would like to invite you to do a review video for our Auto LEDs lighting. Is there a way to write you an email?

@@curtishenshaw5592 Nice! Good luck with it. I love the full size Jeeps.
Looks fantastic. Nice work!
Thanks a lot!
Great video!
Thanks!
Why would you put that ugly bumper on that beautiful Jeep! I mean, that’s the first thing you take off a Gladiator!
1. It’s my truck.
2a. I like the bumper.
2b. Personal feelings are subjective.
@@SecondChanceJeeps ok. But you’re wrong.
