Hello, this is Algae.
If you walk through the park, you can easily see trees with cute little apples.
It is a crab apple, commonly known as an ornamental apple.
Crab apples are a separate species with a distinctly different scientific name, but they seem to have been called ornamental apples because the flowers, fruits, and tree appearance resemble apples.
Fruits are not as useful as apples, but crab apples have their own uses.
Today, I tried to sprout the seeds of flower apples, which are often misunderstood as the same species as apples.
I hope this video will give you pleasure.
Have a nice day :)
Thank you.

Take a trip to Alabama. Plenty of people eat them there. Either cutting them and eating with salt or jarring in salt water.
Hello this is Algae.

In Korea, crab apple is no longer considered an edible fruit.
The method you shared about eating crab apples is very unusual to me.
I will refer to your information if I visit USA.

How do I cold weather treat the seeds?
Hello this is Algae.
Thank you for leaving an interesting question :)
I usually use the refrigerator (4℃) to cold treat the seeds.
Put the seeds in a plastic container, paper bag, or plastic bag and store them in the refrigerator for 1-2 months.
After that your seeds will be ready to be planted.
Have a good day :)
