    Wow that is some impressive range of 34+ miles and no overheating, no speed decreasing due to lower voltage, this looks like it definitely outperform the Apollo Go for just $200.00 more. On a side note: Over 2 hours of footage cut down to 22 minutes is some amazing editing! 😎👊

      @tomsgadgetgarage  24 дня назад

      Yah I was surprised it exceeded the advertised range. That’s pretty rare haha. Editing the video is always the hard part haha. It’s a bit easier now though because I turn the GoPro on and off throughout the ride, otherwise it’ll overheat in a matter of minutes.

    You bring a great point about the water resistance. I ride my Punk Rider Pro daily and trust me when it rains it is a trusty steed and will get you to and from without issue.

      That’s great to hear. I’m hoping we get some rain soon so I can really test it out in the weather. We got some the other night but it came with lots of lightning so I was like, hard pass haha.

    Sweet! Based on that 936Wh battery spec, my thought was that as long as they're using good cells, it should make 35 or a bit more and it did. 18-20mph is my common "out exploring" cruise speed and all of my scooters typically do a bit better than stated mileage. Unless I'm riding around Camelback or Paradise Valley, I usually don't do a lot of hills or a lot of stop and go, which helps. I never had a rubber suspension scooter, so I'm not sure how those do long term. I'm also not sure if those "cartridges" are user replaceable. I checked their website and didn't see any offered. Perhaps you could shed some light if you happen to know. The folding mechanism latch is also different from anything I've ever owned so I'm hoping it's a really good long term design. Everything else is panning out so well with this scooter, those are the only two unknown concerns so far. The multi-press switch is a little goofy but VMAX does the same thing on their scooters so Punk isn't alone there.

      HI just to reply your suspension question . The suspension cartridges are replaceable.

    • @tomsgadgetgarage
      @tomsgadgetgarage  24 дня назад +1

      The folding mechanism feels solid so far. Took it up to South Mountain on some higher speed turns, rode over bumps, etc and it held together well. We’ll see how it hold up over the next couple hundred miles of abuse.

      @Patriot36 24 дня назад +1

      @@Punkelectriccorp Well that a plus. I didn't see them listed on the website so I'll have to go look again. Thanks.

      @@tomsgadgetgarage That's great news. I couldn't actually see the bearing surfaces although the leverage force isn't unlike other latching systems... it's just that it's leveraging from the back in a pulling force. I've seen this rear latch on other scooter videos but again, didn't understand the geometry. This nice thing about you doing these videos is that you've got experience and would say something if you didn't like the design.

      I looked at the mechanism for a while yesterday. I’ll take some pics and send them your way.

    Hi, I am seeking your advice if I buy the PUNK RIDER, because Punk Rider Pro too much heavy?🤔. and how many miles can get with sport mode? (i'm talking about Punk Rider not Punk Rider Pro!).

    • @tomsgadgetgarage
      @tomsgadgetgarage  20 дней назад +1

      Hello! So I haven’t tested the single motor Punk Rider, but here are my thoughts. For the Pro, the company claims 35 miles in mode 2. In my tests, I got 36 miles. So we know their estimates are accurate for the Pro in mode 2. For the single motor Punk Rider, it comes with a 48v 18Ah battery. Based on the accuracy of the range estimates for the pro, and the fact that it has a relatively large battery, I think 22 miles is a realistic number for a rider under 200lbs/~90kg.

      @@tomsgadgetgarage Thanks for your reply, I think it's quite enough range for me because i will don't ride more than 17 miles speed 😅and that can save more range.
      🤔I'm only wish Punk Rider can with same performance with climbing hill to Punk Rider Pro!.

    In eco mode I'm only getting about 6 mph, in normal speed level mode, 9mph. Speed mode 3 is fine. Anyone else? What's going on?

      Have you used the "Reset to default" button in the tuning setting of the app?
      Also, what counutry are you in?
      My scooter is doing the same as yours and I'm trying to figure out why.
      I have made a post on Reddit and there are at least 2 other owners from NZ that also have the lower speed.
      According to Punk, there is only a single version of the Firmware so it should be the same for all regions.

    • @fluffyMetis
      @fluffyMetis 22 дня назад

      @@SnaxxNZGaming I've contacted the company. What they told me was that the eco and normal modes are "walking" modes. Really???? My eco mode is over 6mph and normal is over 9mph. Normal "walking' is 3mph. Then they how much I weigh (I'm 140lbs) say that this will affect the speed. This is not looking good and I'm following up with this. Is there anyone who does NOT have this issue and speeds are as quoted on the website (eco 14, normal 20)?
