NOTE: For cylinder head studs I recommend Pro Design over what I use in the video, they're stronger and more reliable - ebay.us/2KDNj1
NOTE: In the crank setup section (12:22), I talk about the center o-ring on the crankshaft. I could have done a better job explaining the function of that area. This is called the labyrinth seal and it fits between the two center crank main bearings and stops crank case pressure from passing between the two cylinders. The o-ring or using sealant does keep it from spinning but it also seals the two separate sides. If you use sealant, I recommend making sure the entire circumference of the seal is covered.
Hey guys, time stamps and links are listed in the description. This is the Voodoo Banshee complete engine build tutorial. Most of these procedures will be the same for any basic modded Banshee engine 1987-2012. I will be doing a more stock version of this video in the future for those that do not have many mods. I prefer to freeze the cups and warm the head to install them. If you put the cups in the freezer for a couple hours they'll get cold enough to shrink about 0.005". Towards the end of the cooling period for the cups you can start gently warming the head with a propane torch in sweeping motion across the whole thing. A welding blanket or firewool will help keep the heat contained. You can use an oven if you're worried about uneven temperature across the head and to reduce any chance of warping the part. Then they drop right in. All you have to do is line up the keys and let go. They plop right into place with zero effort and no chance of damage. There's a few seconds before the parts thermally normalize so if one is a little off you have time to fix it. I'd suggest gloves for the cold bits so you don't warm them up with your hands 😉 It looks super sick so far. Keep it up man.

I'm leery of an aluminum sprocket spacer. I've seen many steel ones with oil seal grooves in them.
Also, if you are going to replace your shift lever adjuster peg, the spring should be replaced at the same time, as the worn spring can start wearing on your new adjuster.
When testing the shift mechanism, a spacer can be put on the outside part of the shift shaft before the shift lever is attached. It helps keep the shift shaft pulled all the way to the left, so to be less cumbersome.
Good call on replacing the kick idler gear clip every time. I do too. Tab washers too. When replacing those clips, there is usually a smooth side, and a sharp side. The smooth side should go against the gear, and the sharp side away from the gear.
You don't need the tab washer under the clutch nut, but an appropriate sized washer will keep the nut from digging into the clutch hub.
You had some clutch scuzz on the inside of your hub! That crap is hard to scrub off, you basically have to scratch it out.
On pistons, I like to use my hand deburring tool, and chamfer all the sharp edges. I believe that encourages oil retention.
That's absolutely right about the pin clips. Got a ruined Blaster cylinder here as proof.
    Another good walkthrough Mike!
