Once you hear a banshee for the first time and actually ride one. Your life changes. I remember my first banshee encounter. It had .40 over pro x jugs and pistons. It was a monster to me at the age of 12😂
And once you get on a YFZ you'll realize the banshee is all hype and not actually all that great

Had me a 85 and 86 ATC 250R I can kick myself in the
ass for getting rid of them
@@user-nk5qk7bg5u So did I...85 was a 5 speed and 86 a 6 speed...86 was rode hard wheelie machine...85 was mint. I gave them away compared to what they are worth now.
Also had 88 LT 500 RJ....couple Banshee's...always wished the Quadzilla was a 6 speed.
Some old school banshee revival was just what I needed today! Butterfield Banshee Bros for the win!

Keep the banshee content. I'd rather watch you guys rip banshees in the dunes than side x sides. Way more entertainment and nostalgia! Side x sides are so good these days it's almost boring...just my $.02.

I spent weeks looking for a new front plastic for my 87 Banshee. Never did find an uncut one. The one on it right now is only semi cut, which isn't ideal but it was the best I could find. Steve's super lucky to have almost everything factory, it looks so much better with full plastics.
The easiest quad to drift was the Banshee. I had a YFZ450, which was a super quad, but no where near as fun as my mate's Banshee. Bring Banshee Back.
I loved racing a banshee motocross. Had it all set up elka long travel. Was always the underdog and eat up 450s

Best combo chassis, Tommie pipes with larger carbs rotating stock damentions. Build the stroker/board motor chillin ontop of the fire place.

Also FYI , blasters are very stout machines , they’re just detuned from the factory but with a little work and undoing they can be close to hp/lb ratio of a stock banshee … fun fact for ya !!

I always thought they should bring the banshee back using the 500cc 4 stroke twin Yamaha phazer engine. 80hp high rpm screamer that meets emissions.

I just bought my first 2 stroke after always having 4 strokes I got a 03 kx 250 and built it in the kitchen with my 3 year old and took it racing an it a whole different animal
I have the same year banshee.. about 8 or 9 years ago the transmission messed up. I put it in storage. And about 3 weeks ago,got it out and sent it to be fixed.. waiting on getting it back.. cant wait

I had an 87 tri z. But someone wanted it more than I did. It was stolen out of the back of the truck after a full day of ripping. Back before bar rooms had cameras everywhere. Had some unique mods to the frame and some stickers no one else would have had. Still looking after 20years.
Miss riding a banshee had one that was bored 40 over and it was a monster I rarely got it into 6th gear because it ate up fields like crazy may have to get another one now

Hahaha fun fact. Them yamaha atvs for many years all you had to do was disconnect the key cylinder and you would have spark. So if you roll started them they ran like normal. I forgot my key at home and I was at Little Sahara so my options was to learn how to hotwire my ATV. The key gives power to the starter and ungrounds the coil so it will start. Not very smart Yamaha.
