If I knew you was looking for a good California Banshee complete I may have sold you mine for the right price. It's a 2000 yamaha banshee runs good TORS gone rear plastic in good shape front plastic was cut already when I bought it I've had it for 4-5 years now its been a great banshee. I've bought side by sides so my banshee has been in the shed sitting for about a year without being riden I got out and start it every couple weeks but don't ride her no more lol side by sides are just so comfortable to ride lol I can't wait to see your build
I had an 89 banshee that was WAY slower than everyone else. I bought it new. After checking compression, which was lower than spec, I pulled the jugs only to find out it was assembled from the factory missing 1 piston ring on both pistons. Put new rings in it, and it ripped.
This is probably the most valuable comment on here. People need to be more like you and not assume things, but instead break down their performance problems from a physics/engineers standpoint, and track down the problem just like you did. Bravo 👏👏
Just so you know, my 6 year old and I have been binge watching your full build videos. He doesn't take his eyes off! He absolutely loves the technical stuff and building. He had never been into quads before. Now he's recognizing banshees! Haha We just watched this video together this morning. It's become a morning ritual. Thanks for the quality stuff and God Bless!! If I could just ask you to consider bleeping out the curses more consistently it would be awesome. Thank you either way!
Wow, awesome comment! It makes my day to hear that you and your son enjoy my videos and especially the full build ones. I will keep in mind the bleeping and thank you again for the love and feedback 🤘
Haven’t watched much of the video yet but I’m stoked that you picked up another banshee. Can’t go wrong with the 350 twin. That looks like she needs some love, but i know you’ll bring her right back around as always.
Unfortunately I have to put this again - if someone is messaging you saying you won a prize or something, it's not me and it's a SCAM! Call them out and tell them "Mike Sabo says he will VIDEO CHAT with me if I'm winning something or buying something from him!!" If they won't video chat, IT AINT ME!
I like where you're going with this one. As a first time quad owner, I truly appreciate you taking the time to create and share your content. Hell most of the stuff you throw away is better than what I'm running. 😎👍
I love your vision with the 1992 replica in mind. One of my favorite years for the banshee, definitely retro for sure. Cool that you are going to keep it pretty stock as far as appearance goes. Very badass build plan. One suggestion is going chrome with the FMF exhaust. It’s your machine but I think chrome would pop
I think it would look really good if the frame was powdered coated the blue that’s on the plastics and white on the A-arms. and maybe do something with the handlebars grips and grab bar on the back in the same colors as well
Really dig the build concept. The early 90's for both bikes and quads are unmistakable with the crazy colors and graphic designs. Funny how they were "cool", then became kinda "funky", and now they are an iconic reminder of some fun times for most of us...🤘
Love the mock up color sceme. It gives me the nostalgia of a styrofoam cup from a bowling ally/arcade/movie theater/mall food court/roller skating rink in the early 90s. Can't wait for the rest of this series and to see the final product.
Bringing another banshee back to life love that! I bought a neglected banshee recently too and am looking forward to your videos to replicate the process 💯

At first I wasn't in on the stock look but the resto mod will be sick. I would change the tires but I think all the rest is cool. Can't wait to see the build.
I remember a banshee my brother bought one time. It was only running on one cylinder. We rebuilt it with .30 over pro-x jugs and pistons. Holy crap it ran good after the refresh. To be honest it scared me because it was the first quad I rode with a twist throttle it bout got away from me 😂 this is before I started riding motorcycles
that's unfortunate about the neighbors calling the cops on you like your some criminal. I keep forgetting since the pandemic everyone is having serious social issues where nobody wants to even be friendly to one another anymore. Just gotta keep your head up and keep doing your thing man. Looking forward to this banshee rebuild man.
That's the truth man; in this neighborhood, I don't even speak to my next door neighbors. I like to think it's not my doing but I have always been the black sheep here lol. Thank you for the love!
I love the idea with this. Mostly because your taking parts you already have. Shocks, pipes…etc. re-doing them and making it look nice still. Most guys like me that restore these things can’t afford to drop 6k on shocks, a-arms, pipes and cylinders. So it’s nice your restoring most old parts but still building it up. I love it, can’t wait for more
I bought a brand new 88 left over in 1989. Paid 3,850 did a ton of work to it ported and polished exhausted and Intake changed the carbs External filters milled the head bottle reads twist throttle FMF exhaust. He’s been riding since he was five… Lucky bastard, I tell him great stories about the infamous banshee I think we will eventually get one I just cannot believe the money they go for now. Great channel looking very forward to the progress On the banshee.
Michael, I think you should do a flat track/TT build for this, it’s something different and you’ve already built a trail quad out of a banshee. I think it would be neat and a different way for this channel can branch out on.
You have no idea how much I would love to have one of these. I grew up during the heyday and always wanted one of the big boys banshee lt250 quadzilla 250R sadly never happened. Now with my medical conditions I'll probably never have the money to be able to pick one of these gems up I have an old warrior that I'm grateful to have I need to get her up and running once I feel better
Hi Michael,I think that pink color was actually called fushia, and the green was called Teal. Those 2 colors were very popular in the powersports world back then. Our Boat Dealership sold quite a few Teal/white/Fushia Runabouts and then Just as fast as it was popular,Boom,it disappeared and never really made a comeback.I personally liked the color combo as it was a break from a lot of what I would call traditional gel coat an Graphic colors,as well as some of the interior stitching and material colors.Def woulda gave it the Team Bultaco thumbs up.Keep up the good work.

@@MichaelSabo Believe it or not I already went through the pain of sourcing an OEM ‘92 kit for my Sundahl Banshee. It was not easy or cheap just like you alluded to in the video. I really love the 94-95 colors on the banshee I always wanted a purple banshee but that 92 looks sweet as well I’m excited to see the outcome and IMO as close to stock is always better.
Can you guys think of a slower machine? One that actually runs and drives that this particular Banshee would be able to beat in a drag race? 🤔
How about one of the X-Pro Chinese ATVs on Amazon?
TaoTao 50cc ATV, only thing it can beat other than, the Banshee get beat

9:13 reminds me of my Yamaha dirt bike I had! 😂first start of the summer was always a two to three hours kick job!

Glad to hear that man; thanks for watching
cant wait to watch the build such a dope idea!
This is gonna be such a cool build man, right when the video started I was thinking 'an OEM+ build would be perfect for this' haha, and the '92 and '93 colours are my favourites by far 🤘🏻
Can't wait to see this! That's one of my fave color schemes.
I really love the 94-95 colors on the banshee I always wanted a purple banshee but that 92 looks sweet as well I’m excited to see the outcome and IMO as close to stock is always better.
Love this channel. Keep doing good things man. Hope to run into you at Little Sahara one day🤙🏻
1992 is the best year (because that's the year I was born lol). Can't wait to see this build!
