Hands down the best dungeon theme. Not to mention the dungeon itself fits perfectly with that sense of urgency and stealh. Kinda gives me that MGS feel.
best dungeon theme? lol
no xD
@@gr1iev3r10 it's the greatest dungeon theme your right. The fact the hw team came back to make such a masterpiece of writing negates anything you have to say
@@villaniousmustache4898 huh? sorry i dont get it.
there are so many great themes. for example ala mhigo, orbonne monastery (dont know the right english name), xelphatol, the first lvl 90 in endwalker (meteions storydungeon, dont know that in english as well) , holminster (the first shadowbringer) , amaurot, etc etc.
but this one...nothing special imo
My all time favourite dungeon theme wil be the one from The Vault, i love anything with Organs.
@@gr1iev3r10askers?
Thank you for uploading a clean version that's also a normal volume.
Fr I couldn't find a good version until now
When I hear this theme I can only picture Sadu and Magnai facing off against machine gun wielding killer robots, bickering about one another’s savage and uncouth fighting styles while watching one another’s back the entire way
Sadu is totally Magnai's naama, but he'll never know it because she steadfastly refused to look at him in the eyes, nor likely ever will.😂
@@natebroadus8474 Plus it seems she's more interested in women. XD
Dude...what happened to Varis is something i don't even wish on my worst enemy.
Getting murdered by his own son is one thing, but using his body as a vessel to make...that thing is just all kinds of messed up.
I genuinely felt bad for him...he didn't even get to die right :(
You should play FFX, then. Anima's Lore is Dark indeed...
So idk if I mistook something but I’m pretty sure the process of summoning even brought him back from death. He was mentally trapped as a perverted monster, leading his people in what was essentially a national suicide pact, determined to see gaerlamald triumph, or have everyone die trying. And even in that perverted, wicked goal, it was turned against him by his own son to fuel his own ambitions.
whats worse is the towers were made of parts of him as well, as Ystola saw an foot inside the tower of zod...that god pretty dark pretty fast lol
"...Gives me conniptions" /aymeric
@@jkdragonjk6895so basically the British
When the train got mentioned, I was fully expecting it to be some kind of remix of the bombing mission theme from 7. Instead we get a banger of an EDM track, the last time we got one being the Bismark fight lol. 10/10 theme
Don't forget Eden Titan, Ramuh and Leviathan!
Bismarck's theme never gets mentioned, it's nice to finally see it mentioned!
I got that feeling too! glad to see someone agree
This song has a somewhat sad sound to it, which is fitting given that this dungeon was effectively the end-point of every Garlean Empire arc we've had in the game. For a while people were convinced we'd invade Garlemald eventually in a blaze of glory; This whole dungeon and its theme perfectly encapsulate the bittersweet and ironic victory we get over Garlemald: We invade it, but there's no blaze of glory. There's no sense of justice brought to the Empire. No epic victory, and in the end we weren't even really the ones who defeated Garlemald. We may have struck the killing blow, but Zenos and Fandaniel were the ones who brought Garlemald to its knees.
It's ironic isn't it? Both Garlemald and Allag defeated by their own kind.
@@Lyu-Phy It isn't ironic at all. Slightly poetic, maybe, but Zenos is too shallow of a character for his ambition to really be a reflection of Garlemalde's own principles leading to its destruction.
@@boobyslater9390 Shallow perhaps. But isn't this exactly what is mirrored in both Allag and Garlemald? By Amon and Zenos? The pure stagnant and utterly void outlook on life that drives them into oblivion. Amon despised superficial ambitions that lead to nowhere and a decadent empire that was rotten on the inside without growth. Zenos is "even" more shallow, as in he doesn't even care about anything at all, except his own fueled "egoistic" drive, he would set the world aflame for all of this. But that is what ultimately connects both of them, their drive for meaning and for feeling alive. A drive so strong they waged war on the whole world and it all still crumbled down in the end, their ambitions utterly void.. and yet the world was more united than ever before against this threat.
@@boobyslater9390 That shallowness _is_ a reflection of Garlemald's principles. Zenos is the strongest Garlean, the peak of everything they believed about their own superiority, and in the end he is as hollow as their ambitions, and destroys them for it.
@@Lyu-Phy The drapes are just blue lol.
I love the parts that take from the radio song in Garlemald(the anthem iirc), ‘Home Beyond the Horizon’. A nice little way to call back and fitting for the ending dungeon for Garlemald.
Stuff like this is what I loved SEGA for back in the Dreamcast days. Has that PSO feel to it that I absolutely love.
Any mention of PSO gets a like from me.
This and the 97 dungeon have VERY PSO vibes. I’m loving it so much it’s wild
Such a depressing theme. It truly depicts the downfall of the Garlean Empire. Even worse with all the civilian casualties and Garlemald being used as nothing more as a tool in the end. Such a pity.
Usually how most fascist empires end. The civilians are left whiplashed as they realize the projection of strength and superiority were nothing but lies to create compliant citizens.
It's even sadder when you realise the only reason they went so gung ho and formed an empire to begin with is because they were born without magic, so all the races with magic beat them down and forced them out into the far reaches where nobody else dared to try and survive.
It's even sadder when you find out what happened to Varis
When i first heard this theme I instantly got tekken 5 moonlit wilderness vibes off of it and fell in love IMMEDIATELY!
Nailed it.
I thought I was the only one who immediatly thought of Tekken :'D
I'm absolutely in love with this theme. Mix or a Iron Will, a soft, melancholic version of it, along with instruments that perfectly recreate tempo of a moving train and screeching of wheels when it comes to a halt. It's a very unique sound I find. So I have a lot of passion towards it. It might be one of my absolute favourites from the Endwalker.
I'm so glad they didn't go the route of FFIV or FFVII for the music. This was a Garlean dungeon and having a remix of their theme for the final push against them was much more fitting. It is actually our last real fight against Garlemald. Not everything needs to be a nostalgic callback to a past game. It serves so well on its own as a nostalgic reminder of FFXIV ARR Garlean themes.
"The Gates of the Moon" for Endwalker for sure. This one is a banger, feels good when you get this for msq roulette.
You get anything other than ARR for msq roulette? Lucky
@@Ryno2094 you can’t, idk what they’re talking about. MSQ roulette is only castrum meridianium and the praetorium
@@Ryno2094 Tower of Babil appers from Leveling roulette.
Both of you completely missed out on the joke, nice🤣
@@Dasheble There wasn't a joke he was just wrong.
I'm a huge EDM fan and when I heard this track for the first time I had a hard time focusing on the actual fighting because I was vibing so hard to it. It's SOOOO GOOOD. Garlemald is my favourite location both lore and aethetic wise, so hearing this track made me literally squeal.
this song plays in my head when i take the train from work haha
This is some Kingdom Hearts 2 final battle shit bro I SCREAMED when this started playing. Give me more Soken plsss
This theme sounds like it could go to an intense version of “Who Wants to be A Millionaire” to me.
"Who Wants to be A Millionaire" but played on top of a speeding freight train
"Who wants to be a Millionaire" but it's an elimination game with deathrow inmates. On top of a speeding freight train.
@@strf90105 "Who wants to be a Gillionaire" but it's an elimination game with deathrow inmates, on top of a speeding freight train, hosted by Zenos.
@@Riderpride639 There will only be one season, Zenos kills the last survivor and then no one else will want to play.
Who wants to be a millionare? (Savage)
Probably my favorite dungeon theme in Endwalker! Gives me Xenosaga vibes and I'm here for it.
This and Smileton are easily my favorite dungeon themes in this game now which says a lot
Absolutely. I had a hard time choosing between this and Smileton as my favorite theme in the game, but I think this one edges out ahead just slightly :)
@@uvi- Same honestly. Honestly odd to me that I’ve found someone with the same opinion lol.
This dungeon in general is the best arguably.
@@Lyu-Phy There honestly is an argument for it. Hope they take notes with the final fight, even when subtracting the reference aspect. Fact it’s a literal trial-level boss brought me back to doing Final Steps of Faith for the first time but this time as a 4-man. That’s a good thing. Closest we got to that in EW for me again was Vanispati and Dead Ends, the latter for different reasons…
@@rezahydra Looks like they did *eyes Troia*
This almost sounds like something you'd hear in kingdom hearts.
No wonder the nation of Garlemald fell... The public transportation was quite impossible!
toot toot! all aboard the depression and anxiety express, destination, Babil.
Sounds soo much like The World That Never Was
It does! Nice catch!
Specifically Deep Drive from KH 2
The theme of saving Garlemald! Gods, I adore the sheer energy and desperation of this piece, but most especially the way it opens with the beat just kicking in the door and stomping all over it. Sublime!
What's left of it, anyway.
Hey thats me! XD as the rdm lol.
One of the best parts of the game and the theme incorporates the stakes of eithrys
I love this theme, Tower of Babil still my fav dungeon
I love this so muchh. Im still on shadowbringers so cant wait to get into this dungeon asap. This reminds me of Moonlight wilderness from Tekken which is my fave soundtrack too.
Friend, why are you even here??? I hope you haven't spoiled yourself :D
@@Solsbeary I'm afraid i already did. I worked as editor for youtuber. And she finished Endwalker already, so i saw everything XD

OHH good one right here! 0:54 the chills
Just rolled a 2 on this orchestra roll. God damnit
This one honestly takes the cake for me
I will always remmebwr this placw as the place i literally had to use all 6 of my aetherflow on lustrate to keep the gnb alive because i didnt have any time to shield them
We made it though
I love this song so much! The begining reminds me of another song from a Enix game on SNES called Terranigma, when you enter Berruga's Lab.
Nice! One of my fav old games :D thanks for reminding me fo it, it might be a time to give it a replay :D
Finally!! Thank you :D
Some heavy Kingdom Hearts vibes here
Did it last night and fell in love :D
this song works amazingly as battle music for a cyberpunk or magicpunk/gaslamp tabletop game
Excellent taste, also one of my favourites of the whole expac.
This is where...
*busts-a-move*
your story ends Dante
Strong Trails vibes from this one
it sounds like parasite eve music and the dungeon even has those vines that reminded me of the museum
You can hear snippets of multiple Imperial leitmotifs from ARR - including Castrum Meridianum and Praetorium
I also find that the Garlemald music itself sounds like Ice Cap Zone from Sonic 3.
or at least a part of it reminds me of it.
This would also be REALLY good boss battle music too. They did such a good job with this track.
As a FFXIV player, this one threw me completely off gaurd and gave me goosebumps, because it instantly gave me throwback Megaman vibes. So dope
First time I heard it I thought Yoko Shimomura got hired back on.
'Moonlit Wilderness' vibes.
This has a very Zone of the Enders feel to me. Definitely a roll for the house BGM playlist.
this sounds like parasite eve music, which makes me love the theme even more
I can't decide on a favorite Endwalker dungeon theme. I wound up liking so many of them.
for me it's between this and "of countless stars" from the dead ends.
Best dungeon theme from any expansion. I love this kinda techno rave song.
When I first did thos dungeon I instantly loved the music I need to get the orchestration roll for it!
I get FFXV and FFVII remake vibes from this (and the dungeon itself) while it still definitely has FFXIV Imperial vibes going. Easily my favorite Endwalker Dungeon theme.
I had always imagined that when the scions went to Garlemald it would entail sneaking into the capital and eventually infiltrating the palace to fight Varis. While that is what technically ended up happening, it wasn’t at all how I expected it to go. By the time we get there, the capital is already in ruins and Varis’s body turned into a primal
oh! I wrote something year ago! Still love it! +1 +

I'm getting kingdom hearts vibes where after you've done modifications to a Gummi Ship and you go straight to battle
This music reminds me of a certain game starring a certain red coated pizza connoisseur with a habit of slaying demons
Nah, his music doesn't dalliance with the piano often enough.
Yoshi-P: so what theme are you thinking for the OSTs this expansion
Soken: *Mariokart*
It reminds me a little bit of The Legend of Heroes (Trails of series) OST and I like that a lot :)
Fitting since you climb a lot of fortresses/towers in that series.
“Garlemald: Tower of Babil”
Team:...and activate sprint...*now*
Did anyone noticed its abit from parasite eve vibe?
I'm convinced the train section is literally the ending of the movie Speed
Still can't supplex the train.
It's like something you would hear from a Digimon boss battle. Reminds me of Digimon World 3.
praise healer!
It's a nice theme.. But I was soooooo expecting to hear the theme from FFIV, freaking loved that theme so much. I remember years later after playing FFIV, went to the art museum and saw the Babil Tower painting, and thought of the FFIV theme lol.. I was also hoping to hear, "Within the Giant".
Well we certainly got a ton of FFIV later
One of my favorite enemies in endwalker are the temper soldiers mainly the ones that has been Cthulhul because of severe tempering & because there a tragic villain unwilling being us to commit atrocious. 8:11
Sounds like the theme to Eorzea's famous television show, Who Wants to be a Gillionaire.
I'm just here to breakdance while weeping for Varis.
This is the dungeon I highly prefer clearing when I get 81-90 window in Khloe book
reaper mains during this dungeon went crazy
The Babil That Never Was
It feels like the BGM of Devil May Cry and Chaos Legion.
This went from Metal Gear to Metal Slug real quick
I'm definitely from Eorzea, but whenever I hear this song, I feel like my nationality is changing. Is it just me?
Glory Be to Garlemald
Banger bro.❤️🎶🌱👂🎷🎸🎧
TRAIN MISSION
Reminds me heavily of Critical Drive from Kingdom Hearts Days
I was genuinely trying to find a similarity to FFIV's Tower of Babil Theme... or even "Inside the Giant"...
Am I the only one thinking this?
"Now or never"
My favorite dungeon theme in EW! Definitely gives parasite eve vibes 🥹
Over the bay shinobi 3 ....
This is Thancred.
I'm back to say this is peak final fantasy writing and music. Change my mind
this sounds like a track that can be in a megaman X game
X Dive crossover?
Mega Man X Command Mission Opening Stage vibes for me. An RPG for an RPG.
BRING. ME. ZENOS!
Man this is a really good dungeon but this track was burned into my mind trying to farm that stupid jacket. It was worth it but damn.
Garlemald deserved better.
my favorite dungeon in EW
Why do a dungeon with a party of four when you can do it with a party of 9?
Full glad am I to see my yandere waifu Sadu in the fray ❤
The rhythm layer sounds like the blue man group’s pvc pipe drum lol
This kind of reminds me of some of the music from Warriors Orochi. Is that just me? Am I going mad?
Anyone else get a slight Metriod Prime 2 Multiplayer Vibe?
Sounds like Parasite Eve , imagine a Xover with PE my god ❤❤❤
All that's missing is a full-party Allagan "Metal Gear" armor set.
Still one of my more favorite dungeons of the later game!
This honestly sounds like it could be a Homestuck song in the best way possible.
Sounds like an Umineko OST
Who could hear Fate vibes from this music?
I don’t think I’ve unlocked this
