Q&A:
Will this be on Spotify?
Yes! It is linked above.
Can I use this in a video/TikTok/to cry to when my favorite celebrity is revealed to be a terrible person?
Go for it! Just make sure people know where the music comes from.
Can I do a cover of this?
Yes. The off-vocal is linked above.
Can I do (x) with this song?
I go by the Freddie Mercury principle of music. “Do whatever you want with my music, just don't make it boring.” As long as you’re not running around telling everyone you made this song, you can do what you want.
Lyrics:
Abbi, oh Abbi
Why did you lie to me?
I thought I knew you
Thought we were the same
Abbi, oh Abbi
Was it all a dream?
I thought I knew you
But you don't know my name
Was it all a game
To you?
Abbi, my star
How you burn so bright
My inspiration, my delight
Listened to your voice every night
Now it doesn't sound right
And maybe it's a little parasocial
This sickly sweet betrayal
But now I know
Yeah, now I know
You're pathological
Abbi, oh Abbi
Why did you lie to me?
I thought I knew you
Thought we were the same
Abbi, oh Abbi
Was it all a dream?
I thought I knew you
But you don't know my name
Was it all a game
To you?
Abbi, my star
How you've fallen from the sky
Burned your crafted pure disguise
Now your comfort's all corrupted
All I hear is lies
And maybe it's a little parasocial
This sickly sweet betrayal
But now I know
Yeah, now I know
You're pathological
Abbi, oh Abbi
Why did you lie to me?
I thought I knew you
Thought we were the same
Abbi, oh Abbi
Was it all a dream?
I thought I knew you
But you don't know my name
Was it all a game
To you?
I trusted you
I believed in you
I worshiped at your feet
I prayed for you
I fucking loved you
Now I don't know what to think
Well, fuck you
I'll be better than you
I'm gonna be who I thought you were
They'll love me too
Like I loved you
But this time it's my turn
Stars will always burn
Abbi, oh Abbi
Why did you lie to me?
I thought I knew you
Thought we were the same
Abbi, oh Abbi
Was it all a dream?
I thought I knew you
But you don't know my name
Was it all a game
To you?
I won't play your game
You're gonna know my name
I hope we're not the same - Видеоклипы

I appreciate how all the unreliable narrating means that there is little actually known, whether or not the accusations Abbi sent out or had received in counter are true, just that Abbi lost the narrative, no matter the truth, and how fans react to the narrative turning against their star, as well as how a star whose (lack of) identity and anxieties which made them so good at what they did leave them in catastrophic freefall when no longer validated. Internet fame is a terrifying thing as it can go terrifyingly close to early movies, with directors and managers having all the power, especially if the actor is disabled or a woman.
Just afew days ago, i listened to this for fun
Now, i actually relate to it to a degree
I love that last line. I think every person who found out a celebrity they liked was an awful person, wonders if they'd have turned out just as bad if they were in the same situation. Everything disappearing behind her for that last line is absolutely haunting.
I love this so much!!! This is such a relatable song because so many people are being exposed as horrible people
WAKE UP BABE NEW CHARMP SONG DROPPED
This song hit hard since I related to it with a particular youtuber that was a GD and FNF creator

YAYYYY THIS IS GOOD
Adore this song!!!
Wait wait... Hold on, does synthV mean this is fully synthetic singing?
WOAH. That is.... Holy shit its good i thought it was just really filtered!
Yeah, it’s a vocal synth. Solaria’s my favorite because of how realistic she sounds
@@charm-p holy balls. I can see why, she sounds amazing! I'm almost a little sad she's not a "real" artist but I suppose "real" has always been loaded from the start. What is the process you use for creation? Do you write/demo it irl and then program it in?
@@mrsteamie4196 Yeah, I write most of my songs on my piano just using basic chords. I record myself singing the whole thing through and then when I go to produce the real track, I can use my own vocals as a kind of reference for how to tune Solaria.
@@charm-p ahhhh that's so awesome! I really like what you have done with your work so far.
@@mrsteamie4196 thank you! SynthV is actually pretty easy to get into if you’re interested in producing. I made my first few songs entirely with free programs
I like the song, but one part threw me off. "Pathological" can't be used by itself in this context. It can be used before a word, but on its own it means "related to pathology" or "caused by a disease". It can't be used to describe a person, only to describe a specific quality they have, such as being a "pathological liar" or "pathological gambler".
I debated with myself about that line but I ultimately decided to keep it. I think the first thing that comes to people’s mind when someone accuses someone of being “pathological” is being a pathological liar. Like in this song, you can see it as this ex fan accusing Abbi of being a liar. But pathological in this sense means something taken to an extreme, to a degree that can only be caused by pathology or like insanity. So the word can also be used to mean “obsessive.” In this sense, the ex fan is not just calling Abbi a liar through implication but accusing Abbi of being completely obsessive to the point of it becoming a pathological issue. Also I think the line sounds cool. But I get if it breaks the immersion for you. I’ve definitely had songs where just one lyric threw me off. But I wanted to give the line an honest defense. 👍
i liked it, it's catchy :]
who's abbi tho (glad I don't watch her content)
abbi is a fictional character invented for this song series
