Okay I don't know about you folks but that kicked my ass🤣! I'm nowhere near hovering or rising up without a wall but I feel like it's possible with this super informative video and I'm so grateful to Briony for providing all of us with this authentic fun and professional guidance. Thank you thank you thank you!
this is so helpful, been falling and jumping for months now, but after this video, I found more body connection as I practice. You helped me connect the dots, thank you Briony!
Bri you were always one of my Inspirational yogi and I love the way you demonstrated and explained it was so clear I hope one day I can break my fear to do handstand 🙌🙌😘😘🤗🤗
Thanks for all videos. You doing great job. Your physical's form helps me understand what muscle i have to engage and you have really awesome explanation. Good job, keep doing.
Thank you Bri!! Loved this! Can you please make a video about Handstand Pressing? Maybe all of your best tips to build strength and learn how to handstand press? That would be incredible!!
Hi Briohny! I really enjoy this practice. Love your calming and helpful instruction! it really give me courage to hop without wall even still scary. Thank you so much!!! 🥰🥰
Telling us to pull our inner thighs together made a HUGE difference for me!!! I can feel a bit of progress already. I was having difficulty because I always fall into a backbend, but this is already helping me stay straight. OH and looking between the wrists instead of the thumbs. All of these little details are SO helpful.
Excellent session Briohny! Really enjoyed this, was great fun and I learnt a lot more than I already knew about handstands. I found this one to be more of a workout than your 45 min power flow video on here 😌 thank you
Thought I was half decent at yoga until I saw Flight Club on YA. Completely different game, the core strength and balance everyone has in that class is just superhuman. You are an inspiration Bri - all the best.
Whenever I try to attempt any kind of inversion, I feel like I have no power in my neck/ shoulders/ upper arms, it feels completely weak in that area. I have had some neck issues in the past, also tweaked my neck trying to do a headstand last year....so my question is, is it more of a "mind" thing that I am holding myself back in fear of injury, or is it purely that I need to work on my shoulder/ back strength first?
It could be a bit of both, really. Headstands, although the 'easiest' inversion', is actually one of the more unsafe ones because of how much weight you're putting on your head and neck IF not done properly. That fear you're feeling is absolutely justified, and I think the best thing to learn is how to fall without injury when doing inversions.
Agree with the other response !! Headstand can be dangerous, if you're lacking strength in the shoulders/arms/serratus, the neck will take most of the load. I would recommend doing drills to build up to forearm stand and handstand:)
