    The Legendary Ian Moss performs live at the Australian Institute of Music, a great acoustic performance of his hit Tucker's Daughter.
    Students were treated to a special guest appearance from legendary Aussie rocker Ian Moss recently at AIM, otherwise known to fans as 'Mossy', when he performed at the tail end of the Soulfood Aussie Rock Concert in March.
    'Mossy' answered questions from students and performed the hits Tucker's Daughter, Choir Girl and Bow River, to a rapturous applause from a young audience, as the master musician showed just why he is one of Australia's best guitarists and song writers of all time. Playing solo with only a 6 string and stomp box, Mossy talked about his love for music & gave an inspirational performance, inspiring students to follow their dreams.
    Both of the Soulfood 'Aussie Rock' concerts were sold out on the day, as AIM students performed well known hits from Australian rock bands such as Jet, The Easybeats, INXS, Thirsty Merc, Kate Miller-Heidke and many more, to over a 250 strong audience at both shows.

    And I too can see where you're coming from as well. There's just so many different dynamics floating around when you have a band v a single artist. Even a great single artist can sound lousy if they are accompanied by lousy session players. I must admit I prefer Mossy on his own unaccompanied compared to him with a bunch of 'session' players. I believe he is just so good when solo without session players. That's because he is the complete solo artist, one who can play an axe brilliantly & sing!

    Still amazes me after his opening speech, those ignorant people still want to "gas bag" 'bout bullshit all whilst the master has spelt it out for them!?!? Mind bogggles?

    Ian Moss' talents were essentially kept under wraps by Cold Chisel inter house politics. Because Barnsey was the 'boss' of CC in that he was the front man, Mossy had to take second stage really, as did Don Walker as well. That is NOT a criticism of CC rather it is simple band politics. Mossy on his own is AWESOME and so was BARNSEY. They are both essentially just as good as each other in my opinion. Just different. I don't prefer either one, rather I enjoy them both. I do love COLD CHISEL though

      Blackscorpion1963 what a load of bullshit. His talents weren't kept under wraps at all! He sang plenty of songs, did amazing backing vocals, and is clearly one of Australia's great guitar players! That was his job. Jimmy's job was to get drunk and be the wildest front man on earth and Dons job was to write great songs. As Mossy once told me himself, there is no other experience on earth like standing next to Barns at full belt!

      @@officialWWM - what a load of crap. Why did Cold Chisel split up then?

    • @officialWWM
      @officialWWM 4 года назад

      Blackscorpion1963 for loads of reasons. Mainly Jimmys drinking and drug taking. His frustration about not getting paid enough and the massive off he got to produce a solo album.
