Yeah. A lot of water filters are charcoal filters too. Brita filters have carbon in them. You can't taste it or smell it at all because charcoal only removes flavor. Sorry, but hearing you talk about the "charcoal flavor" "picking up that charcoal on the nose" really hurts your credibility to me.

Nice review! I watched four videos yesterday on these two and everyone likes them both but the 12 yr sounds better to me. Probably won’t get it or see it:(
I'll probably never see these, and if I do they'll be way outside my budget. But I'm glad to know that there's more to Jack Daniel's than the Old No. 7, which I don't propose to ever drink again. One of these days I'll try some of their better stuff that's within my reach. And on the bourbon question... My PERSONAL view, which is just my OPINION, is that Tennessee whiskey is a variety of bourbon, just as a wheated bourbon is a variety of bourbon, but isn't a typical bourbon. I've formed this view because a) Tennessee whiskey follows every requirement of bourbon, adding just the one step, b) not all Tennessee whiskey uses the Lincoln County process, and c) some bourbon from outside Tennessee does filter through charcoal. But since this is just my opinion, anyone and everyone is free to differ. 🥃🙂
It will be interesting to see if this hits Michigan or not. Their Bonded and Triple Mash were released here in liter size bottles because of the laws here. 700ml not allowed.

@@shpfro lol really?
@@RichardPalmbergDDS yea, these guys are usually pretty good but that's such an uneducated statement.
@@shpfro Wow, Bourbon god in our midst everyone…guess you should start a channel and have 100k+ subscribers…
I was sipping on a JDSB BP(129.5) over ice and caught all the notes you were describing on these two bottles. Why should I go out and purchase one, or what makes these bottles so special? Thoughts? The price is similar. I love your channel BTW and oh, your audio is fine. Trust me, I work in TV.
Come on guys, They reduced the quantity to 700 to reduce the unit cost and increase the margin. That's what corporations do.
Snagged 1 bottle of the 10 year and 2 of the 12 year. Never thought I’d get either.
Do you have Jack Daniels BnB in your area? I believe that's in their core lineup now and is of course 100 Proof.
It will be interesting to see if this hits Michigan or not. Their Bonded and Triple Mash were released here in liter size bottles because of the laws here. 700ml not allowed.
I would love to see you guys to compare jack daniels 12 year to redbreast 12.
I can’t find these anywhere locally for less than $200 (10 year) and $400 (12 year).
Wow
Oak and alcohol works well together!
I paid $110 for the 12 year. Omg I love it.
Guys, try the Jack Daniel's Bonded. 100 proof, 1 liter bottle. This may just make you a JD fan.
From Breaking Bourbon: MSRP: $80 (2023), Mashbill: 80% Corn, 12% Rye, 8% Malted Barley, Proof: 107. An estimated 18,000 bottles will be available for this release.
12% barley and 8% rye
So, the original 10 year came out two years ago…stands to reason the 12 year is just an aged two more year version of that.
Good show. I'm going to give up on the Johnnie Walker review....lol
Something that I’ll never get a bottle of to taste and enjoy.
WOW, I was legitimately nervous for you guys on this one. I was afraid out of courtesy for the producer you'd step on a landmine and allow questions about integrity in your reviews. Not even close. Clearly the reason you deserve 2,500 views in the first 2 hours on a Wednesday morning. JD folks know.
You kept saying this would be released in 700ml. Did you mean 750ml? As a past owner of a private store in Southeastern Indiana I don't recall a 700ml. Just asking for clarification.
700 not 750
Pretty much all bottles in Australia are now 700ml
Old days. They were 750ml. FYI
You guys should do a blind tasting between the JD 12 Year Old and Old Forestor 1920. Same parent company and around the same proof.
I've already seen the 12yr online for $499(!). I want one, but not that bad!
Yeah, this trend is ridiculous. I'm not taking part in that silliness even if I have money burning a hole in my pocket.
Same place has raised it to $699 😂
80% Corn, 12% Malted Barley and 8% Rye is the standard Jack Daniels mash bill.
Prices are through the roof I would let this cool down saw the 12 year at one site now for $700 LOL 😂 Good luck stick with Rare Breed WT, WT 101, Four Roses Small batch, Small Batch Select, Even Buffalo trace or Eagle 10 but they are gonna boost this price to the sky.
Welp any chance of getting this whiskey went out the window damn Whiskey tube saying it's better than pappy
I wouldn't mind trying these 2 labels..
Scored 2 bottles today! Should have bought a lotto ticket
I don’t know if this is true but the rumor is that the 10 year is gonna be $60-$70 and the 12 year is gonna be in the $80 price range which isn’t unheard of for higher aged whisky. Cheers gents. Nice to have a bourbon reviewer in NWI.
It's probably the same mash bill as every other Jack Daniels lol
I wish all distillers would put out small taster's like that normally to the public to buy. I'd pay $8-12 for a taster of a $70+ bottles to see if they are worth it.
Problem with that is, as long as its limited and has secondary value, they dont need you to think its worth it. They just need whoevers gunning for it to.
I'm seeing the 10 year going for $75 and the 12 year for $85 atleast in my state run liquor store website
Leave the 10 year 97 proof in the barrel for two more years and give us more of the 12yr 107 proof! It’s already unobtainable:( great reviews so it will be bought up for the secondary market.
