I love and respect Mariko and Max, I've met and interviewed them both. No shade, but let's face it, when Daniel left, Yuck was never going to be the same. The studio version of The Wall is one of my favs of all time, I hate how they can't replicate it properly live. That soaring sound behind the "I know that I'm in space" lyrics. What a debut album. Will be with me for life.
I agree with this 100%. I love what Max and Mariko have done after he left and their solo projects, but none of Yuck's new albums have made me feel the same emotions I've felt with the debut/Oupa/Chew. At the same time happy with where Daniel is heading sonically though, I wasn't a fan of Hebronix but the stuff under his own name is great. I wonder if he'll ever return to writing pop-ish songs again..

I love this band man :) Everything about this band is just amazing, I even bought their latest album Glow & Behold. Keep up the great work and hope to see future songs from you guys! :)
When i was walking around in town heading towards their gig i passed Johnny. Had a nice chat with him and showed him where the cash point was, great guy.
That's what's unique about Yuck, they're different. If they would follow the same song structure - verse chorus verse middle 8 outro they would just be a average/regular band... the fact that you don't like this band shows me , Yes!! They're not main stream, they're different. So that's why they're fucking brilliant.
I think it was on the album, the lead singers sister in fact. I believe she's credited on the album and even appears on the back cover. I've just never seen her play live with them Any more insight to this would be great, I don't really know.
there's never really a good shot showing the headstock, but i see a gold logo, which is what the current Squier model comes with. but the bridge is the type of bridge the Fender model ships with. so i'm thinking its the squier 50 p bass with some upgrades, including the bridge. looks like an awesome bass
Can someone tell me why both guitarists have put tape over the selection switches/dials of their Fenders? I've seen other artists do the same with their Jazzmasters and Jaguars.
@DeadJ0ker27 Actually...they are very comparable to Sonic Youth and Dinosaur Jr. Same guitar fuzzed out hairy guitar tones as Dinosaur Jr. Same sleepy, laid back feeling that Sonic Youth had in a lot of their stuff. They've been compared to both by critics and fans.
that might work very decently, though changing from a cannon plug to a standard 6.5mm to conect to a guitar pedal might cost you some sound quality. There's pretty decent guitar processors like the Boss Ve-20 that can get you this effect. The real problem is getting a decent voice reverb. Most vocal processors have a very mild and standard reverb. I've found it better to use a Memory Man or a Hall of Fame for this.
I don't really think that dude's comment was called for and I think this band is very good, but I truly think that these guys need to move... like a little. The singer shows a lot of passion just in his voice and I think THAT is a part of why this band is so great to listen to... but I mean, come on. If you have ever played an instrument, you know that you NEED some sort of passion. I'm not saying these dudes are dull. I'm just saying they need to be proud of their music and express it.
When you're playing live and playing with showmanship you don't want to take any chances. Even if they hit the switches once every 100 times they play a song, it's still not worth it.
I fucking hate when people complain about a band not moving, if your watching this, or any live performance ever, its to listen to music not to see people fucking dance like monkies to entertain you.
its hard to make music and the world is a rough place its a shame that some people when they get to the top choose to express how sissy their rock and roll universe is.
one of the most underrated bands of the 2010s
Any others I should check out?

this is the first time I listen to this band, I really like how the bass sounds. Nice songs!
i like how this band is set up. u never see the bass player playing in the front and the lead singer off to the side. its pretty cool.
yuck's debut so golden. i remember being like 13 or so and Blumberg reminding me of Lou Reed for a strange yet peticular reason...
DANIEL! COME BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please?
XD
please!!
Alas it was the only Yuck I loved
the bassist looks so chill and rad in her shades.
Beautiful rooftop and beautiful Yuck
Yuck was unknown to me until I stumbled upon them when I dropped acid for the first time. I was happy :DDD
I love this band man :) Everything about this band is just amazing, I even bought their latest album Glow & Behold. Keep up the great work and hope to see future songs from you guys! :)
My favorite band right now... love it. Stutter is my fav track on the album right now.
the background music is called, "What I am" by Edie Brickell and The New Bohemians.
She is married to Paul Simon.
i really luv this song...especially every musician style
i don't know why but, female bassist..., GOD why i always fall for them :"3
Not enough people appreciate this band.
Yes, backing vocals on Georgia too are amazing. Hopefully she does join them sometime and becomes part of the full time line-up.
When i was walking around in town heading towards their gig i passed Johnny. Had a nice chat with him and showed him where the cash point was, great guy.
I loved Yuck as they were but I can't wait to hear their's and Daniel's new stuff.
This is cut awesomely. You can tell they just mashed this shit in any old order.
Their guitar sound kinda reminds me of Sonic Youth.
ESTA BANDA ESTA UNA MASA ..DESDE QUE ESCUCHE STUTTER.. NO PARO DE ESCUCHAR A YUCK ....
yuck my favorite band
it's up, they're cool
Yuck...or the double jeans band.

wow this sounds just like the album
lovery!!!!!!!!!
The guitarist said 'Like' a hell of a lot of times in that interview !
Clean sound

Coolest drummer ever.
@targetdemographic lmao brilliant!
It took me a minute to figure out who you were talking about.
Love this video
great song to listen to if you are training for a marathon.
You can get effects pedals type things for vocals I believe, so it can be done live
Bom demais!! Gostei muito da banda!!
what's the song played as they're setting up? not the other yuck song, the one before that. if anyone gets what i'm on about...
YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
crunch sound voices rises
Cool band
Yuck yeah!
"The band was originally called Fuck, but then when we played our first gig, the...people made a typing error." Genius.
"It's a way of adjusting the pickup. The closer or further from the strings the pickup can affect the tone."---Yahoo Answers
What effects did he use to get that sound ? 2:25

I've seen other artists do the same with their Jazzmasters and Jaguars.
Daniel looks like Bob Dylan.

Better than studio version.
Peace !
the mix is so tight can't tell if this is the studio version or not lol

As good as his previous band, Cajun Dance Party, was this is so much better! :)
yum
HOLY SHIT I CAN"T BELIEVE THEY LIKE THE NEW BOHEMIANS
how can i get a vocal sound like his live?
Run your mic through a distortion pedal
that might work very decently, though changing from a cannon plug to a standard 6.5mm to conect to a guitar pedal might cost you some sound quality. There's pretty decent guitar processors like the Boss Ve-20 that can get you this effect.
The real problem is getting a decent voice reverb. Most vocal processors have a very mild and standard reverb. I've found it better to use a Memory Man or a Hall of Fame for this.
Alexei Quijano i would imagine that some degredation in sound quality would be a good thing in this case?
Bass line reminds me of dancing with myself
does anyone know which ampeg she use?
Anyone knows the song from the beginning
this guys got the real gear.....
fuck yeah! awesome!
There´s already a band called Fuck since the 90´s and they rock
I respect your opinion, but mine is that people can do whatever they want.
what's the song in the beginning?
這主唱模仿Bob dylan倒是很成功.

Search for Fuck´s album called Those are not my bongos ( 2003 ) the song " Hideout " is great
why were they playing on the roof again? oh
I MISS YUCK WITH DANIEL :(
When you're playing live and playing with showmanship you don't want to take any chances. Even if they hit the switches once every 100 times they play a song, it's still not worth it.
What's the song at 0:06 ?
why do they tape their pickup switches?
Ohmuniac so you don't hit one by accident and change the pickups
@danielhl22
It was an impulse comment I made in the first 2 seconds of the song. If you read the comments i actually disagree with my first statement.
This voise is at Jacks White voice from the White Stripes :)
Why’s not on Spotify !!
