    Hi mate, I just came across your channel on Timmy’s Truck House Life, so I’ve subscribed. Love the look and feel of your camper. I’m 56 and really wish I had the courage to make the changes in my life necessary to adopt a similar way of living. One day, hopefully, before it gets too late!

      Thanks for being here, everyone has a different situation. I just hope you still find time to get out and enjoy the outdoors, even if not full time. Cheers.

    I've seen a ton of builds, besides my own over the past almost 20 years in the game, and yours sir, is one of the better thought out, modularish, simple, few frills expect basic necessities, and cool as _____! Very well executed. The humility to know what you have learned along the journey, and tweaks here and there(solor generator units) would fit your modularity well. Imho? It's a Rad build! Look forward to what you do with her next.

    Saved to reference when needed. That is really nice, looks so cozy and the woodstove makes it looks more homey. The pegboard you a lot of them I can do myself, great ideas. Even though I don’t do stuff like the rebuilding 😊 I understood it. my late husband would’ve like this, he loved working with wood and was Woodturning artist. I’m looking for someone to do just a few little changes in my 89 Toyota dolphin. I just bought it a couple weeks ago. Next week is the safety inspection. It should have no problem passing, drove 50 miles home no problem. I know engines are surprising sometimes, they are still cheaper to work on in the new cars. I did some research and I was lucky to be the first to see it. I was looking for vans for three years after my husband died so I could travel a bit. I bought the solar power devices (for home emergencies too), a small sink, and other accoutrements I might need a couple years ago. Too much money for a van that I could move around easily in. I wish the dolphin had that kind of shell even though you said it was flimsy. I don’t think you can beat the fiberglass ones like this. I wear a leg brace I can’t do what I need. I don’t need much done, a new counter, 12 V fridge put into it and part of the booth changed into storage and lagun table. If I didn’t buy it, it would’ve been gone. I was the first one to look at it. For me it was perfect. Engine and interior were partially rebuilt in 2006. I’m trying to make it easier for me to use so I don’t have to mess with all the more complicated things. I do not want to have to buy a lot of propane, so the fridge goes. And I want the toilet taken out for a compost toilet. I don’t want to spend a fortune getting it done. If it doesn’t work out I could always resell it because it’s in good shape for 35 years old. It’s just a little dated in the upholstery but not as bad as it would’ve been 35 years ago. lol I guess I could definitely get my money back on it. But I don’t want to do that. Wish me luck.

      Sounds like you have some plans. Are you familiar with Facebook group. Toyota Motor home club. This will be a good resource for you. I would suggest showing photos of the things you want to change and asking, what others have done.
      Best of luck.

    How HD are those upper shelves? Weights (estimates) they can handle, esp offroad?

    • @sunroameroverland
      @sunroameroverland  Год назад

      They have done very well. I have my clothes and razor etc never seen any deflection or damage offroad. I would feel very confident with more weight, but i like to keep all the heavy weight, down low

    Hi, Just subscribed and saw you from Brian's live video today. What is your shelving material called? How to find it? Did not see it on amazon links, but might have missed something. Also, your storage crate with divider was quite interesting. Where to find these crates?

    • @sunroameroverland
      @sunroameroverland  9 месяцев назад

      The crates are directly from sidio crate. The material is from a source i found searching. See if i can find it again.

      @@sunroameroverland Thanks again! the plastic connectors make this system work well.
      Totally agree 8020 is too heavy per foot and very expensive for a build. We used this for industrial prototyping where cost and weight was not a major consideration.

    Bradley Inlow, Sir, your interview with 'tiny home tours' aired/posted on 19 November 2022 was great. You nailed your Sunraider perfectly. A 5VZ-FE V6 replacement was a great idea. A non-interference engine, as it is, was a great choice. I had a '97 4Runner with the 2.7-liter 3RZ-FE and it was underpowered, but faired well. Keep on those times belts for your engine, though. A 4x4 conversion was also a great idea. Is this a manual transmission, I guess? For a one-person vehicle, and pet, ya done good. I, too, have been off of FB since 2018.

    I want to get a 2010-2020 chevy express extended with high roof and dress it up similarly to 'Primal Outdoors' YT channel Ford F350 van.

      Thank you so much for the kind words, The 3.4 has been a great motor. Unfortunately It is an auto. It is what the donor had, I do plan to convert it back to a 5 speed. ECM and Harness are difficult to find. Yeah Jason has a great Van. I looked at vans to begin with but the high tops were very pricey.. Good luck with your project.
