@@HaloDude3065 yeah I like the boxy look too, I just think he had to compromise because he couldnt wear super tight clothes anymore. But he made it work

@@4life1Skootyeah but without people like pharell and nigo and ye opening them lanes im pretty sure no one would give a single shit about him mixing preme, with the jeremy scotts and the black scale
I’ve always said Kanye set the trend for mens fashion and his influence is still there from the 08-13 era. He was just a breath of fresh air to fashion and ahead of his time it was so dope to see what he would come out with. Keep in mind he lived in Europe for awhile as well so thats when he started bringin that high end fashion with street wear which was my favorite era, love seeing the goyard with the LV sneakers or bape, Jordan etc.
I remember the style around 2013 when Yeezus was being recorded, the look was anything with leather, leather jeans, leather jacket and the YEEZUS tour merch with that punk rock aesthetic also was crazy I think Jerry Lorenzo help Ye with this merch
Yo the Timeline in fashion goes like 2000-06, 07-10, 11-13, 14-15, 16,17,18,19,20. I think it's slowing down especially since most of "TEENS" grew out of Hypebeasting and or fashion in general, but man from 16 - 2020 there was waaaaaaay to many styles/trends
What I remember being “iconic” Kanye fashion statements from 2013-2014 were the use of Moccasin boots/Chelsea boots, Fear of God short sleeve flannels, and Yeezus tour merch. Almost like a proto-jerryboy style. Also, that massive GQ interview had released in 2014 which featured Kanye styling himself for the whole photo shoot I believe. It kinda cemented the idea that Kanye knew how to progress his style naturally at the time. I remember copying so many of those GQ fits lol.
Kevin Lenyatsa oh man 2006-2009 were good times lol. Nowadays, people get too sensitive about “cultural appropriation” and boohoo about things . I may sound rude af about it but i thought that style was so cool. Women knew how to pull it off so nice lol
I always remember "who has two thumbs and has an LV deal, this guy" Kanye. Great inspiration grew from those times, hard to say that truthfully nowadays.
Wow watching this is making me realize how influential he is on NYC fashion. Like I remember seeing this growing up but I didn’t know he helped with these trends I guess I wasn’t paying attention that much but Kanye is the host of streetwear.
No lol this hair it’s from the 70s people’s in the chi are rocking dreads example king Von or durk or sosa and any chiraq niggaz even ye doesn’t from the hood so he didn’t popularized this hairstyle in his hometown
U forgot the Nike Yeezy 1 and 2 era and the Oreo flyknit racers that went from being in every Nike outlet too been sold out everywhere and sold for hundreds of dollars.
I would probably say that it was more balenciaga that started the chunky shoe phase because the triple S came out January 2017 and the wave runner released on august that same year, I remember balenciagas being all over my Instagram at that time, then the wave runners sort of continued the trend.
Nice introduction into Kanyes Style. My style is completely Kanye from 2014 until 2016. The Haider Ackermann stuff or the Rick Owens Parka with the Visvim Boots.
Crazy. I grew up during that Baggy/Polos/Airforce/Phat Farms look and that emo phase look, too, damn early 2000s. But once I graduate I started to see his trend with those ripped skinny jeans/sneakers/boots, etc. like he definitely pioneered street ware fashion for sure. Now, I’m more of the boxy shirts, man, they’re going to trend for sure. That Korean fashion style is slick.
I’m stationed in Japan and when I go to Tokyo I noticed Kanye while he was living out here he put a big impact on there style of clothing like kenzo in shibuya all dere clothes give me 2000 Kanye vibes and even bape in harajuku Tokyo in general are trynna bring back the old bape
In 2013 the Margiela had a big run because of him especially the Future Highs. And now in 2020 he is definitely shifting to vibrant colors. If you look at the new Yeezys, the Yeez Gap or even his outfits, ha back on them colors
I love yeezy 700's they just go with A LOT of things and fits perfectly with the futuristic style from like 2017-18 and a vintage/retro style genius design
This is the order... preppy, bape, Nike/Jordans, suit phases, Nike Yeezys, red phases, longline phase, super street (ASSC, supreme etc). Ultraboost / Yeezy / FoG Ye, then Dadbod Ye, then the Yeezy gap unbranded hoodies and shit Ye
That haircut is a mullet but because of his hair texture it would tuff up like that haha. 808s had that big 80s theme hence why he had suits and “mullet” 🔥
Im not keezy but bruh i might have to cop everything if it drops. I really like kanye's creativity and am a fan of all the yeezy season clothing that he dropped. (Not the merch) I think yeezy x gap gonna be real good.
The suit era was called the rosewood movement. One of the kids around here in dallas’ dad (tony williams) worked with kanye west. He was the kid who put out fabric pocket tees on for a small moment. til brands like hug picked up on it. He used to talk about the rosewood movement and riding around town with kanye in his lambo. Actually the 808s n heart break haircut is called a shag. It was a haircut from the 80s. But kanye was the 1st person to rock it the Way he did. That same haircut is called a south of France or a burst fade. It became a very popular cut n the early 2010s
I use to dress like Kanye back in the day, wanted a givenchy shirt so bad. Asap rocky was also a huge influence. Wonder what happened to brands like hood by air and black scvle, they were the shit back then and died so fast.
Man I love the Js Ye, but 2015-2016 was fly minus the supreme. I can’t lie, comfy like slim jeans, flannel and some 350s/750s is the way to go especially when you’re getting old like us. 😂
