I bought designer sneakers I need and I stopped buying 3 years ago. I went all in on RUclips and started my motorcycle channel. All the money I used to buy for designer stuff is invested in there now.
I fully agree with not buying archived and vintage. Yes it’s cool and at it’s time ground breaking. But now after so many years it’s deteriorating, and the bubble is def gotten bigger. You can def find newer, cool pieces for a comparable price
i still love both of those to be honest. i do see a lot of bad vintage that people think is sick because its just vintage but a classic band shirt is still fire. And archive clothing in my opinion can be good and bad. I have a few pieces on my wishlist that are considered archive pieces that are just unlike any modern pieces, like those 2002 raf consumed cargos. But with that being said, a lot of archival clothing just isn't special anymore. But there are still lots of desirable good pieces. Look at vivenne westwood for example, some of her 70s seditionaries pieces are just mindblowing, stuff you never see even modern remakes of. Or even those 2000s jpg meshes.
Everybody who gets into fashion hit a wall a some point where they have to redirect themselves and think if they still buying items because they genuinely like them or is it for some type of influence. It can be subconscious. BUY WHAT YOU REALLY LIKE. Wear things that makes you happy and obsessed with it. Don’t follow nobody but your intuition.
I’ve stopped buying from big corporations like Nike and instead supporting small brands like yours. It gives me more of a feeling of individuality and style because the pieces are so unique and not mass produced.
Stoped buying sneakers and clothes all together, more money conscious and environmentally conscious, still buy stuff but hoarding new clothes for me becomes a lil excessive. Plain black T' and blue jeans and some clean air max plus is just what we rock.
you just keep posting so much lately, i love watching your videos to have an opinion of someone from the states compared to europe and you showed me so many cool people/brands and ideas.
We’re on the same page when it comes to fitted hats. I jumped on the crazy color combo hats and bought a few and never ended up wearing them. I’m so comfortable with the on-field caps and they’re simplicity that I never even wore the other hats I bought. That hit home
To me I used to wear fitted in high school now I always get snaps cause o have long hair. And when you have long hair and fitted you get hot easily which I don’t like
I've stopped buying sneakers in general. I've convinced myself that that 200-300 should go to my own samples instead of Nike/NB/Adidas I also stopped buying NBA shorts..mostly cause I have all the teams I wanted. I want 2-3:college teams, and I'll probably hang it up for good unless I can lose hella weight and have to rebuy everything in smaller sizes
Ur spot on with the culture vulture stores and corporate entities oversaturating fitteds. Also the fact new era lets any store restock other stores custom designs is what really killed the collecting/selling aspect as well. I still wear and love fitteds but I went from buying a couple a week to a couple a year now…🤷🏻♂️
fitteds got so over saturated that most stores started selling bullshit color ways just for some quick cash. it’s almost like nobody puts in the effort into designing good hats anymore.
Just shows that everything has its time and place. Cool at one point, you spend time with it, and keep it pushing. Definitely more selective with my purchases, buying more what I like, and trying to be more realistic and conscious with the purchases. Given, I haven’t dived into a lot of the trends you said (especially the more expensive ones), and thank god I haven’t (so much money there), but it shows everyone live and learns. Nice to dive into something different and it’s ok to move forward.
I will still be an archive warrior, I don’t buy much archive helmut anymore but I’ll buy other archive stuff from other designers, it’s still a great way to buy into a designer you like without paying the premium of something new
for the past 5-7 years all I wear for the most part is athleisure wear. sweats, champion mesh shorts and etc with a mixture of some designer hoodies depending on the brand, new fitted hats, never really got into designer kicks. I try to keep it simple. I will never stop buying bape tho.
I think the thing abt archive is you have to consider them art pieces not just clothes. You would rather want the og Mona Lisa then a mock-up poster of it from Amazon. Or let’s say both r paintings, the Mona Lisa is still desirable
I only crop the tee if it fits me like a tall tee. Usually get a shirt that fits me well and crop it to that size. There have been times I over cropped and threw that jawn away .
i have a kid now i don’t buy stuffs anymore, but it’s still fun to watch videos of people talking about their shopping experiences. tbh if you give me money right now i don’t know what to buy.
Really glad that I stopped following any trends since 2015. On my early 20's by that time and everywhere I looked, everyone looks the same lol. The saturation is a major turn off and decided to just go plain and comfortable. It came to a point that it took a bad toll mentally and financially. Crazy how difficult and expensive a stuff you like because resellers tryna gatekeep you. I said nahhhhhhhh im done
It’s true, I always just resort to my simple basics. All these trends have their time and place tbh, honestly you can’t rock them everyday, but it’s dope to rock a vintage shirt or a cropped tee. It all depends on your mood and what your feeling like.
Functionality and proportions are the only things really worth focusing on at this stage, If one pair of shoes can be worn for 10 different activities, they are very much worth my money
I thought I was alone on the fitted thing. I only wear classic on field color ways as well. I have 0 desire for a lime green, pink and blue pirates fitted.
I’ve def pumped the breaks on NB. I’ve bought 8 pairs since the 550 hype and I think I only need 1 or 2 of those pairs. The second wave of 550s the 2 pairs are the best 550 imo. Just goes to show wear what u like ofc. I’m gonna go back to my childhood favorite Jordan 4s tryna complete the metallic pack!
I used to be into flannels ( like even before the whole Travis Scott wave) and def wore the fitteds too but now I’m really putting them down. Idk what’s next but I just feel like overall there’s a shift going on in the culture. Even with sneakers I feel like ain’t nothing really new or exciting I wanna cop and everything I did want I already have, and anything I don’t have is too old for me to wear lol
With vintage I usually buys items that bring back nostalgia like dale jr, spider-man,rolling stones. I have always been a fan of these designs for some reason
I still wear fitteds but haven’t bought many this year. I’m just looking for more classic colorways now. I’d also rather put money towards sneakers than fitteds
Been wearing NBs since the early 2000s, all the color way drops and everyone wearing them turned me off a bit. But it’s been a thing here in the DMV so I’ll keep rocking em lol
I stopped buying all fashion. I still enjoy looking and keeping in touch, but after several years nothing looks that new or as cool as regular vintage or regular workwear. I spend my money on edc now. Knives, tools, tactical things, etc.
I started buying more retro and vintage adidas pairs. I know that goes against what you were saying but it’s been really interesting to find some the pairs I’ve missed out on in the past.
I keep seeking out thoughtful graphic tees that I cans see someone put effort in or make my own graphics instead of buying cheaply made stuff I see alot on insta. Tbh I can't find much but sometimes I find something tasteful
I think that those rick owens strobe sneakers (the vans lookalikes) and the margiela gats should be left outside of the designer sneaker conversation simply because the designs are a lot more discreet than the other ones you showed in the video. There is no noticeable branding really on the rick's and margielas.
Fitteds are so hit and miss for me now. Being an actual sports fan, especially baseball, i cant ever find hats i genuinely like just because people buy them up in seconds just for the fashion sense of it. And im not going to drop 150 on a hat. And the quality of sizing is a nightmare, they need to focus on consistent sizing rather than dookie colorways no one wants.
I've never invested into archival pieces because I truly do not care lmaoo. I love the artistry and glad people appreciate it but I'm not impressed by you spending hundreds of dollars on some pants older than I am. People need to be honest with themselves and realize a lot of this archival trend is just a flex on others at some point. Not everyone but a considerable amount of people just to do it as a flex. It'll always be something. Supreme box logos in the early 2010s to buying designer in the mid 2010s to buying archival now. It'll always be something. I love trends but if you spending thousands just to feel cool or better than someone and it isn't something you TRULY love, you really just a drone to me.
My guy I am doing the same I found out about UNIQLO while on vacation last year and discovered the app and I am only buying that brand and older supreme and nike till I die but clothing UNIQLO is all I am buying from the price to the minimum branding enough said. They carry Helmut lung jeans
Yeah I’ll forever love vintage tees it’s super dope and rare I love to travel so if I can find a vintage tee from the place I’m going to I think that’s dope but it’s just a personal preference tho
Archive helmet is wild expensive 😂😂😂 I’ll just stick to regular drops from helmut only designer brand I actually like somewhat affordable and last a while and cropp tees 😂💀 wtf u got going on keezy
This was honestly refreshing as of now I’ve solely been buying a few things out of thrifts specifically because the materials were just BETTER. Right now straight vintage blanks and denim. Make or customize everything else.
I stopped buying Jordan’s and I started buying more essential items like quality denims and blank t shirts tbh
💯
same bro, I got like 20 pairs of denim at this point 💪😭

Archive and vintage are for people who ‘think’ they’re the fashion elites. Truth be told, most of these items look like junk.
i still love both of those to be honest. i do see a lot of bad vintage that people think is sick because its just vintage but a classic band shirt is still fire. New Balance isn’t a trend to me anymore. It just became a huge part of my lifestyle shoe collection.
I’ve stopped buying from big corporations like Nike and instead supporting small brands like yours. It gives me more of a feeling of individuality and style because the pieces are so unique and not mass produced.

How’s the NPC experience going so far wearing cloutless clothing ?
I miss seeing these types of videos man, happy to see it pop up. Waited to watch when I got home and everyone was asleep.
New Balances are 🔥. It's a comfortable on the go sneaker. Love them
Always a good day w keezy !!! Vintage tee’s ill always throw into the wardrobe because of the timelessness
I'm very much getting sick of the fit that consists of:
- Trucker hat
- Oversized washed/faux vintage tee
- Above the knee shorts
- Hyped sneakers
And no color matching what so ever
I feel like the Prada Americas Cup are the best designer shoe, its a timeless design & you can style them so many different ways.
