Hands-on with the Gitzo Adventury Backpack (

- The Gitzo Adventury Backpack comes in 45L and 35L sizes. We really loved the backpack as a long haul camera bag with plenty of space for 2 bodies and 5 lenses or 2 lenses and one zoom lens like a 300mm. Luke takes you on a walkthrough of the bag covering every inch so you know it inside and out!

This review is very thorough and well done!
Great video, sold!!
you saved my shoulders, thank you
Nice video. Thanks for posting. I just bought one this past week (haven’t used it in the field yet) and was happy to see that I can get my D850 mounted to a 24-70 f/2.8, D500 mounted to a 200-500 f/5.6, 17-35 f/2.8, 70-200 f/2.8 plus my filters (100mm holder, grad, CPL, etc) all in the bag with no issues. All lenses with hoods. Room to spare for another lens or two (small prime or TC). It seems comfortable on my back (though again I haven’t used it on a shoot yet).
I love the pouch on top and the “through” side pocket for carrying a tripod. My net cover zipper sticks too. I found if I don’t zip it all the way up and around the top I can still open the net far enough to get at everything thus avoiding the struck zipper issue. I also love the numerous attach points front and side, and built in rain pouch. I was going to pull the trigger on an Fstop bag, but I went to my local camera store, saw the Gitzo, and decided this bag offered a number of great features the Fstop doesn’t have.
Minor comment...you forgot to mention the front pocket. Also, the outside dimensions of the bag are carry-on compliant. But, still, great video. Thanks!
TheAirplaneDriver could you pls say what it offers the f stop doesnt. Thanks
xtreme psy - Hi....sorry, I just don’t recall what the differences were at this point. It was a year or more ago that I made my decision between the two bags and without going through the research again wouldn’t be able to provide meaningful info. I think, basically it was the ability for the Gitzo bag to fit what I intended to carry plus the folding top pouch that did it for me. I can tell you that I used the bag a lot since then and have not been disappointed. It travels well, and fits into airline upper storage with no issues. That includes a trip to the Galapagos we took in September.
Tipptopp !!!
nice review thanks 🙏🏻
You dont use the black mesh for everyday use, you tuck it away under the inner bag. The mesh is for if you take out the padded section so your kit doesn’t fall out. I have used the bag empty on holiday to bring a weeks groceries back fom the shops
Thanks for that. We only had the bag for a short amount of time so missed some vital things.
Thanks for the thorough overview and your thoughts. Just a little feedback - please work on the video quality. Use a tripod. The handicam stuff and change of focus was making me sick.
All constructive criticism welcome! We'll do our best from now on.
Hello,
Great video and incredibly helpful but the choice of music is horrible
Nice bag....can it be bought without the insert ? Thinking of using F-stop inserts instead.
Will it go in the overhead bin while flying? Thanks
yes
Can I accommodate two gripped D850 bodies a 500mm pf lens, tamron 150 600 g2 70 200 2.8 nikkor 105 mm micro and 16 35 f4
How well does it ventilate your back?
To be honest, the weather wasn't great on that day and it's not something we even thought about. Will remember for next time!
Does the 45L fit in Airport cabin/hand luggage ?
That would entirely depend on the restrictions in place on the airline you'd be flying with. the manufacturer claims it would fit in most luggage at the time of release but to check with the airline.
We've updated our website with the specs at photobite.uk/the-measure/themeasure-hands-on-with-the-gitzo-adventury-backpack/ but the external dimensions are 35 x 22 x 55 cm. Hope that helps!
@@PhotoBiteUK Icelandair is 20cm but I called them and are OK for 2 cm
Just got this bag. Not very good design. Quit hard to get to the camera.
Thanks for the comment. Always good to hear the thoughts and reviews of other people.
Ohhh really? that sucks, now im looking to get a wildlife photography backpack but so far not once i saw anyone actually doing a video with a zoom lens like 200-600 or proper 600mm attached to a body and showing will it fit in one or not. I mean wildlife photography who the hell carries a 70mm or so on lens. 200 and up and always 600mm a wildlife photogrpaher carries. Anyways Shaul have you find a good backpack yet?
My God who the hell chose that bloody music. Its absolutely awful.
Haha! I'm heading off to sign up to a stock music site as we speak!
drug dealer music!
I've heard worse
