Gitzo Légende Tripod and Backpack Hands-On Look

Today we got the privilege to be one of the first websites to try out the upcoming Gitzo Légende tripod and backpack, which have been a part of an Indiegogo campaign that was announced by the company a few weeks ago.
While this is not a full review (we only had these two for a short time by now) we did get to compare them to a few other Gitzo tripods that we have been using for a long time and we have a few notes.

The only reason this is not a "review" is that we didn't have the products for long enough to call it a review. However, at least with the tripod, we are very familiar with the other 1 series tripods from Gitzo so we more or less know what to expect from this one (although as we noted there are some important changes - some good - like the new leg angle mechanism, some we like a little less from an operational point of view like the decreased friction due to the use of metal in the twist locks instead of rubber).
