What a great video - thanks. Did you buy the Manfrotto(?) tripod, just to use its bag for the Gitzo? It's a lovely tripod, but can't believe they skimped on a quality carry bag on the Traveller range. All the best to you
I own two Gitzo tripod and a monopod they are superbly made albeit expensive it you get what you pay for. One of the tripods an aluminium Reporter is over fifty years old and apart from a a couple of scrapes on one of the legs is a good as new. They do the job they designed for and they do it well. Although expensive in my book worth every penny.
I have used it with the 150-600 on occasion. It works good enough but it is a little wobbly out at 600mm even using my lens rail support setup. Its never going to replace a proper heavy tripod like the Benro TMA47AXL. If I know I will be out doing tripod video I will always take the bigger Benro for it. Although in a pinch its nice, and I use the Gitzo for all of my talking head and 99% of the video work for youtube. Wayyyyyy lighter to carry around on trips as well.
Sometimes you buy a $649.90 tripod with a 0.10 bag knowing most photographers spending that much already have some sort of bag solution and sometimes you buy a $60 tripod with a $15 bag for $75.
Good tripod & Good scenery and mostly, Good comment~
Thank you very much!
Good review.
Thank you 😃

Just checked their website - their quality bags are another £80-£120 on top. They definitely are the Apple of Tripod Land. 😆
Thank you!
😂 No I didn't get the manfroto just for the bag. But it would be more cost efficient as you pointed out!

I definitely enjoy my gitzo. Not sure I'll be buying a gitzo monopod though 😂
Decent review
Appreciate you 🙏
Thanks for a review! But what about sturdiness? Have you used it with yours Sigma 150-600 C or same heavy lens? :)
