I love the Crane M3. I love how it’s so small but so powerful. I’m an apsc shooter so this can handle anything I through at it. I’ve been using the ZVE-10 with it. I heard people saying they were having issues with the Bluetooth module but I haven’t had any issues with mine knock on wood. I thought Brie microphone was gonna be a POS and cheesy feature to be honest but I love it. When I go to conventions and do interviews it’s works awesome. I can say anyone on the fence about it my experience has been awesome I love it. I am not a professional by any means. I have a podcast I shoot content for. With APSC this is great. We put my buddies A7Slll and it handled that too. Granted it was only for about an hour. Hope this helps. Great video as always man love the info in your videos.
The expansion base and wireless modules should had been part of the standard package. We're in 2022 and gimbals should come with wireless connectivity by default.

This is a great tutorial. It looks like you have a pretty heavy setup. My gimbal seems balanced, it even says so on the display, and then autocalibration. Still, I find it drifts once in use? Maybe it's the mode I have it on? ZV-E10 + SIGMA 16MM
Hi friend, you're recommended to check our tutorials of gimbal modes to see the "drifts" are caused by which axis. Or try the L mode to lock all the axes and see if the drifts are solved.
Need more information about the Bluetooth module and its compatibility with Sony cameras especially the mirror less a APSC cameras such as 6600. I am hoping it will be able to do basic features like zoom in out, start recording stop recording and take photos

Thanks for the video. I bought the expansion base and bluetooth controller. I have followed every direction offered by Zhiyun and spent hours trying to get the bluetooth controller to pair with the gimbal. What especially frustrating is trying to community with the Chinese tech support at Zhiyun. I even contacted a tech expert at B&H and they were not able to get it connected.
@Black Queen Photography they would respond with multiple requests to send them a video of the problem. They were not able to fix the issue so I returned the gimbal. I think it’s a huge problem when a company does not offer any phone support, especially the Chinese companies who rely on email support with people who are not that good with the English language.

Brand new out of the box. Can't understand why it's not behaving to any of the modes. I followed every Tutorial and it's fully updated firmware and balanced correctly. It just goes to sleep and makes a sound every time I try to use a mode
@@taconasty I used to have this problem when I first purchased. and sometimes I still do. Press and hold the "M" button. it kinda acts like a full reset. try to balance then. it should work.

HI Zhiyun-Tech, I've had an accident with the Crane M3 TWICE! After having it balanced and calibrated, the mount plate carrying my ZVE10 jumped off and dropped on the floor/street. In my case, how do you solve this malfunction of your product?
I think its important to mention that the joystick doesnt work when using portrait mode. A lot of videos are filmed sideways now a days and it seems the M3 isn't built for this type of video content.
Because the angle of the Portrait mode needs to be fixed, the angle will change if it is controlled by a joystick, thus limiting the function of the joystick.
To check the balanced state first. if you didn't manually balance the gimbal well or turn off the axis lock funtion, then turn on it, gimbal will vibrate.

Great commercial!! But what you dont tell people is that when you buy the pro version, the bluetooth module WONT work! And you need to use it since you dont support the most common camera's! And your helpdesk wont react on any of the SEVEN emails i send them!!

Tried doing the connecting to the app thing, and it's 100% completely different from what's on your screen. Once connected it has a popup that says the name of the gimbal, and a check mark that it's connected, and a button that says "enter now", that takes you to a control screen where it has a virtual joy stick and other such controls. It does not allow me to stay on the page that shows the picture of the gimbal, nor does it have any kind of upgrade notification.
Hello, I’m looking at buying one of these as an upgrade from the Movi Cinema Robot for a iPhone 13 Pro Max with lenses and cage, etc. Will this gimbal connect to Filmic Pro app? This ISNT a tutorial but a marketing commercial!! They didnt tell you the truth. That on 80% of the camera's it WONT work. Neighter will the bluetooth module! And that is why the "helpdesk" of Zhiyun wont answer any of your question's when you send them emails.

I've balanced the whole lot several times, but the gimble starts vibrating after having received a 'successful' feedback as soon as I pick it up. What to do?
I use Sony A7s iii with 24mm f2.8 lens - this kit weighs approx 850 grams - so well within the maximum payload allowance of 1 kg. However, if I run auto calibration (which completes with “success”) the gimbal starts going into fits of high frequency shaking with buzzing like sound. It vibrates badly. THe only workaround I found is to put the motor torque setting to LOW - then all is fine. But it seems to me that 850 G payload would require at least medium if not strong setting - but they are impossible to use due to this fits of resonance vibration!
It is ok if M3 can work normally and satisfy your daily use, even though the motor torque is low. Though the motor size of M3 is small but it is much powerful.
I’ve a lot of trouble shooting in using Carne M3 with Iphone 13 pro max, first of all You said this gimbal for smart phone but when I’m using with iphone can’t use gimbal buttons for taking capture or recording a video, Second all advance features of iPhone 13 Pro Max can’t control it through the gimbal I’ve to touch iphone screen for some features and other features doesn’t work with gimbal

I've attached the cable that came with the M3 to my ZV-1 and it's not controlling any functions at all. Isn't it supposed to control the zoom, start and stop recording and the shutter function to take still pictures? Or, is it just to keep the ZV-1 battery charged?
My tilt (horizon) axis won't balance even when slid all the way forward it still drops back (display faces down). What do? May smartphone is the NOTE20U.
I purchased a new Crane M3 from Amazon and upon first use it would go into sleep mode continuously. I sent that one back as I thought it was defective and a new one arrived. Unfortunately the new one did the same thing. I searched online and found out that this is an issue with some Crane M3’s. I ultimately had to return the second one also. Anyone else have this as an issue? I like the M3, but it was unusable for me.

I did purchased the standard kit to use it with the nikon z6ii. As i can see in your comments now, there is no chance to control the cam via crane m3? Because the nikon is not controllable via cable (why not? Weebill S can do this!) and also there will be no bluetooth module and expansion base to buy separately. With other words, i should return the M3?

Pan axis balancing info is EXTREMELY confusing. Tilt the gimbal and if it swings it is not calibrated. Trial and error. Most likely you won’t be able to achieve perfect balance… Is that the best instruction you can give, Zhiyun???
Did anyone try the Crane M3 with Sony zv-e10 and Sony 18-105mm F4 lens? This particular lens is not included on the compatibility list but I see heavier lens from Sigma are on the list. Thanks in advance!
When I plugged the extension base the camera records white noise, could be a pice problem or its something from the gimbal? The gimbal just arrived today, so it was a factory defect or something, because litteraly it was failing since first try.

The wheel customized setting (aperture, shutter, ISO, zoom, roll axis), and can customize on the touch screen. Use with TransMount CRANE-M3 Bluetooth Control Unit for camera parameter adjustment. CRANE-M3 only provides stabilization for mobile phones and action cameras. Button controls are not supported.
Using crane m3 with iPhone 14 Pro, it’s going automatically to sleep mode when I move down or up by button. Calibration done, it’s stabilised when I checked. But still going automatically sleep mode . Any ideas how to fix?

Can I usa a Sony A5000 or A5100 with this... just for the stability, don't need to use the function buttons like the record or take pics.

Tried doing the connecting to the app thing, and it's 100% completely different from what's on your screen. Once connected it has a popup that says the name of the gimbal, and a check mark that it's connected, and a button that says "enter now", that takes you to a control screen where it has a virtual joy stick and other such controls. It does not allow me to stay on the page that shows the picture of the gimbal, nor does it have any kind of upgrade notification.

No it won't. If you power on the gimbal when 3 axis are locked, motors can detect it and remain in "off" mode.

Recently I purchase a Crane M3. When I turn it off and on again the gimble shooting mode go on "Pan Follow" Mode. If there any option so that I can make my default mood "Follow". Every time when I turn on my gimble it's go on "Follow" mode

1. Please select "PC Remote" for your camera's "USB Connection".
2. For Sony cameras, after connecting gimbal and camera with control cable, power on the gimbal and then the camera. Make sure the camera is fully charged.

If failed to connect, please try to reset the Bluetooth module through pressing the power button for 6 seconds and connect it again.

I've balanced the whole lot several times, but the gimble starts vibrating after having received a 'successful' feedback as soon as I pick it up. What to do?
I use Sony A7s iii with 24mm f2.8 lens - this kit weighs approx 850 grams - so well within the maximum payload allowance of 1 kg. However, if I run auto calibration (which completes with “success”) the gimbal starts going into fits of high frequency shaking with buzzing like sound. It vibrates badly. THe only workaround I found is to put the motor torque setting to LOW - then all is fine. But it seems to me that 850 G payload would require at least medium if not strong setting - but they are impossible to use due to this fits of resonance vibration!
It is ok if M3 can work normally and satisfy your daily use, even though the motor torque is low. Though the motor size of M3 is small but it is much powerful.

I've attached the cable that came with the M3 to my ZV-1 and it's not controlling any functions at all. Isn't it supposed to control the zoom, start and stop recording and the shutter function to take still pictures? Or, is it just to keep the ZV-1 battery charged?

I purchased a new Crane M3 from Amazon and upon first use it would go into sleep mode continuously. I sent that one back as I thought it was defective and a new one arrived. Unfortunately the new one did the same thing. I searched online and found out that this is an issue with some Crane M3’s. I ultimately had to return the second one also. Anyone else have this as an issue? I like the M3, but it was unusable for me.

Because the nikon is not controllable via cable (why not? Weebill S can do this!) and also there will be no bluetooth module and expansion base to buy separately.

I don't see this camera in its compatibility list, I think you can only shoot with the gimbal's stabilization and modes. 🤔🤔
Pan axis balancing info is EXTREMELY confusing. Tilt the gimbal and if it swings it is not calibrated. Trial and error. Most likely you won’t be able to achieve perfect balance… Is that the best instruction you can give, Zhiyun???
My canons viewfinder obstructs with the movement on the M3. Not fully compatible when a bigger lens is used.

The wheel customized setting (aperture, shutter, ISO, zoom, roll axis), and can customize on the touch screen. Use with TransMount CRANE-M3 Bluetooth Control Unit for camera parameter adjustment. CRANE-M3 only provides stabilization for mobile phones and action cameras. Button controls are not supported.

Using crane m3 with iPhone 14 Pro, it’s going automatically to sleep mode when I move down or up by button. Calibration done, it’s stabilised when I checked. But still going automatically sleep mode . Any ideas how to fix?
Make sure you manual adjust the smartphone balance when gimbal is off and unlock all three axis locks.
