Wow, an actual "gimbal moves" tutorial that is extremely helpful.
Others have said it, but I've learned more in these 5 minutes than I have from watching hours of other tutorials. Super fantastic
This is a HUGE compliment and I am so thankful. Really happy to hear that you have learnt so much. Thank you for your continued support on my channel. ☺️
Great video once again man! So great how you can put so many valuable tips and insights in such a short amount of time. It was a pleasure to be a part of this one again 🤙🏼
Brother! THANK YOU! So grateful for your support and amazing BTS :)
I've recently bought a gimbal to start doing some content creation and short format videos and your channel & videos are EXTREMELY helpful! Thank you so much and congratulations on the 100k!❤️
Thanks Sarmed, you are most kind! I'm so glad to hear that my videos are helpful, best of luck with your journey!

Hey Jacques. I love your videos and your channel. I'm a teacher and I started a film club at our school. We've progressed so far that we're actually in the pre-prod stage of our very own telenovela - I worked as a storyliner on Binnelanders a few years back. In any case, your channel is a major source of inspiration and it's compulsory viewing for all my cameramen and aspiring directors. Thanks, man. You make us proud as South Africans!
Full time videographer here with multiple successful businesses and even I was inspired from this video.
Incredible, subscribed instantly.
That means so much! Thank you for the kind words! Really appreciate it! 🙏
Awesome Sir... The main reason why I love to learn from is that, everytime you tell us why or when to use it...
Only a great and well experienced teacher will gives us these great suggestions for upcoming film makers to tells us there stories in a great way.
Sir, I'm from India and I'm a 10+2 student. Sir, I want to became a great film maker like you. Again, thanks Sir for providing such great suggestions.
Thank you very much Sir once again.
Thanks Pratham, your comment means so much to me! Thanks for supporting my channel!
@@jacques_crafford Thank you very much Sir for your lovely response. ☺ Sir, can you please guide me how to tell story with the help of visuals on films, Sir I am confused on it.
Hi Jacques. I would like to tell you that I am admiring your film making skills. You have great way to pass on the knowledge. Thanks for your videos. What they say "Learn from the best" I am gonna learn from you :)
Thanks Adrian, you are most kind!
For this kind of shots do you trust autofocus (especially in those shots that the subject moves from the centre to the left or right third). Would love to know your focus settings too ! Great gimbal moves by the way! Thanks for sharing
Thanks for asking I was going to ask the same thing so I'm following
Thanks Alex! That's a good question! I made a whole tutorial about it which you can watch here ruclips.net/video/AGgUSVkHcCM/видео.html but in short: I use Wide Mode with Eye Autofocus when I'm shooting a person (where they eye is visible). On some shots I enable the tracking feature to stay on a subject where I can't see the eye and then some shots are just a little hit & miss in wide mode but it helps to keep your main subject in the centre and shooting wide open actually helps to create "contrast" between your subject & the background giving me better results with the focus.
@@jacques_crafford plaease share with uts the settings of DJI ronin Rs3. Ican not get it to work propersly, and RUclipsrs here have very differeint suggestions .
Love this type of tutorials. Moving haracter plus moving camera is damn master 😍

There are many videos about gimbal videos in you tube but this is very much useful
Lots of details..
Custom speed settings..
Well composed bts to get clear idea..
Epic shots and smooth moves..
Thank you so much for your efforts…
As this video is all about gimbal moves there is not much information reg video specs,
Not only the content, video quality is great…
We are expecting a dedicated video on details about camera settings reg bitrates, log information, exposure settings, resolution
Coz your videos look cinematic…
Thanks MJ, you are most kind! My goal is to put out quality tutorials without the fluff. I try to steer away from gear talk but I will do some more focus on camera settings etc :) Best wishes
Love this ❤️
Amazing content and really detailed explained! Thank you so much for sharing it!
Thanks Adeline, grateful for your support! Hope to share lots more with you :)
Just wanted to add this in: One of the biggest mistakes people make with moves like the "pan tilt follow" is rushing the end. It takes a lot of body control to get through those shots, and there's a tendency to speed up toward the end. Try to fight that urge unless the shot demands an increase in camera movement speed.
I need more gimbal practice, because all of these would look HORRIBLE with me operating the gimbal 🤣
I need a gimbal at first😂
I bought even small M3s but used only once now staying in the corner of my room !!
Having same interest of good partner would be good to work otherwise practicing alone in the mass very awkward 😂
Me tooooo, Ive been using my RS3 Pro for a week or two and even though the footage is INFINITELY smoother than before, when compared to pros I'm like "😬Oooof holy shit I suck at this 👀"
This was the most inspirational video in this kind that i've ever seen. You explained it very detailed. Thank you and i would like the see more videos in this way.
Thanks mate, that means SO MUCH to me! More coming soon!

Yay glad to hear that, thank you so much!
Your channel is the best instructional content for video i have found in a year of searching youtube, appreciate it!
Woaaah that's huge, thanks Joe! Grateful for your support!
I love those shots. I used to use gymbal but abandoned the idea because I didn't see how I can make my shots more creative compared to handheld. After watching this, I think I need to find where I kept my gymbal haha
Thank you Mai, I also love handheld but a gimbal is one of those things that take a lot of practice and it has the potential to give you some really dynamic shots that are impossible with your hands :) Hope you have greater success with it now!
Mind-blowing tutorial bro
Superb,thank you !
