As a dad of a young baby I just don’t have time anymore to watch 30 minute long video’s, and Jacques understands just that ;). So on behalf of all the young dads in the world, thanks for putting so much value in such a short amount of time 😁
A (leadership) mentor I had many years ago said that to really learn something choose a single guide, & only then consider a variety of guides to achieve mastery. You my friend are my 'single guide' on this new journey ! Thank you 🙏🏼
This has to be one of the most value-stacked video that I have ever seen on RUclips. Your ability to make highly engaging and informative videos that are straight-to-the-point, is second to none. Amazing stuff, Jacques. 👏
This is by far the best RUclips channel on film and video making, especially for people who want to improve their filmmaking skills and stay informed about the latest trends and styles. They can't afford to skip this channel.
Retaining the position as one of the most inspirational characters in the videography landscape. Actionable tips on how to achieve skillful methods of production. Simple and elegant.
I loved every single second of this!! Watched it in the same breath. The quality, the sound design, the graphics, everything is a smash!!! Love how you've been continually upping your game recently with every upload! Keep it going dude ❤ The shopping cart is genius ⚡
Great video as usual Jacques. You guys have some wonderful shooting locations over there in SA. Also good to see the young lady from the Mi Casa music videos again. It's been a while.
@Jacques - Every time you "open our eyes" with some new cool plugins, recording techniques, and stuff. I guess it's because we are too busy with daily job and we don't have too much time to explore, but your videos always help us step out of our comfort zone and encourage us to learn and try something new. Respect and thank you for sharing very valuable knowledge
Oh I will be through all your videos in one more day or two, that is how hooked I am on your style , really love it, so beautiful, I just cant wait to learn , I do not have your cameras Jacque but a gopro 8 and canon M50 yet trully believe that in the einde the master is the one behind the lens, I did subscrive ! how could I not. thank you for your videos
Thanks Rodrigo! I think if you shoot at 50 or 100 FPS and slow it down with Optical flow the slowmo does a fair job of making the footage seem more stable!
Thanks for another great one. Quick question, are you just taking the single clip that you want slowed down and exporting it to Topaz to slow it down and then bring it back in to your editing App?
Hey mate! Sorry for the late reply, it's been so busy this side. Yes I usually do a single clip. I export in Prores and Topaz does the render back to Prores so no loss in quality.
Thank you for the excellent video! Very practical and useful! BTW, how do you avoid the motion judder when you shoot in 25p over 1/50 shutter speed? As you showcase shot #6 (gimbal POI), there's clearly hardly any noticeable judder.
Which link is for info on the colour grading course? Great video by the way! You are a good teacher - hence my interest in the colour grading course :)
Not only voted in contest I followed here to subscribe. Decide to within the first 30 seconds. Looking forward to receiving notices of your new videos.
hey just a quick question about the MABO fall shot that you mentioned! so optical flow is not what you would only use in your final video editing software right? like the original 100fps shot you mentioned, you put them in topaze video AI to 8x slower but what would be the frame rates that you export it from topaz before putting back into the video editing software that you are using? Thanks for such great content!

Great one @Jacques!! On the Mabo fall, the challenging thing for me is the stability of the handheld shot 😅
Thanks Rodrigo! I think if you shoot at 50 or 100 FPS and slow it down with Optical flow the slowmo does a fair job of making the footage seem more stable!
