  • The reason I'm doing this is because I sometimes have a sore lower back after a ride. Im 6' 1" and other tall riders have told me this helps. Ive read nothing but positive reviews from other riders so...lets try them out! #riserbars #mtbriserbars #ebike #ebikelife #mountainbiking #mountainbike #sondors #sondorsrockstar #spankspoon60

    I like the looks of the bars. It’s all about functionality and comfort for me. As an old BMX’er, I prefer higher rise bars. 80 is good but 100 rise is even better, but that’s just my view, up to rider preference!

      I’ve seen some mountain bikes with the cross bar BMX style bars too and I’ve always wondered how they would feel. I prefer the higher rise too. I thought the sweep or angle might affect performance but it actually felt (to me) like I was more behind or inside the bike versus on top and leaning forward.

    I have Renthal carbon fatbar 40mm rise on my Specialized enduro, what a difference, no more bad back or wrist pain, highly recommend.

    Having started in BMX then moving over to the Motocross world I never could get used to being hunched over when I ride a MTB. I installed some high riser bars an few years ago and now it feels normal to me. Love it.

    👍tried higher risers only 38mm from 25mm🤔but i lost the traction on the front end😅i think its all about very small adjustments, or it fucks with the handling😅👍

    Why did you choose riser handlebars and not a riser stem, that would give you the height, but the feel of your old 800 wide handlebars you are used to?
    I like the look of the new handlebars you have, it looks more motocross style.

    • @SimplePleasuresMTB
      @SimplePleasuresMTB  Год назад

      I love the stem and the length, just wanted to try some risers due to lower back pain. It helped some of my friends that are taller riders so I went with the riser bars.

    These bars in the uk cost £72, ridiculous how expensive they got for the uk area.

    • @SimplePleasuresMTB
      @SimplePleasuresMTB  20 дней назад +1

      Damn! Is it the shipping? I’d send you some from 🇺🇸

    • @cwistyler3531
      @cwistyler3531 19 дней назад

      Most probably is the shipping. Amazon charging £72 and that'll be the shipping like you said. I actually didn't think of the shipping till you mentioned it. But £30 to £35 for shipping is still pricey.

    Hey thanks for the vid. I just got a bar with a 40mm rise. I’m replacing a 20mm rise bar. A change was sparked also because of back soreness. I have to ride to a riser bar was in order. So how was riding it? Did it make a difference???

    • @SimplePleasuresMTB
      @SimplePleasuresMTB  Год назад +4

      Yes indeed! I was worried about losing performance but it still felt aggressive. My back issues disappeared. I now run a 40mm rise and it’s perfect. These were 60 rise and honestly I couldn’t get over “the look”. The 40mm rise I’ve discovered is the sweet spot for me. Thanks for watching

    Hi Doug, have the same bars for the same reason and I love them especially going down steep grades. Have a question, I’ve been researching a replacement for the rockstar monitor,it too small and not bright enough. Do you or anyone else know of another monitor that will work with the Sonders controller ?

    • @SimplePleasuresMTB
      @SimplePleasuresMTB  Год назад +1

      There are definitely different monitors but I like the placement of this one. I actually read your comment while on a ride today trying out the new bars. I mentioned your question in the video (hope you don’t mind) but video should be out tomorrow morning at 7am. I answer your question and give you my take on the monitor.👍🏻

    • @SimplePleasuresMTB
      @SimplePleasuresMTB  Год назад +4

      I’m not the best at jumps but the bars do feel like I have more control, like I’m “inside” of the bike vs. “on top” of it, if that makes sense. I love the position, it’s very comfortable.
