Definitely go with something you can stand over flat-footed. You will feel way more confident like the video said. I like my bikes a little smaller, they are lighter, I can toss them around, and pickup easier when I crash (yes you are going to crash about every time you go trail riding, something will happen unexpectedly or some puddle or rut will throw you and I've been riding 20 years). A smaller bike is just more fun I think too! A 110/125/150 is plenty of power

Great info for those who are starting out. Knowing what to look for is a very important step in the learning process for new riders so they can stay as healthy as possible and still have fun while learning to ride!! Injuries while riding, especially younger kids and adults, usually leads to the rider not wanting to get back on the bike because they get scared!! Good info brother...

The TTR125 is an excellent bike to learn on, they even make a an "L" version that has larger wheels and can support a slightly taller rider comfortably. I have a video on my channel about my first impression of my TTR125L when I got it. Its probably the funnest bike I have to just jump on and ride around the farm, it always runs, responds well to upgrades, and they are cheap!

I have always wanted a dirt bike since i was 7 and now I’m 13 and I can’t get one because of money issues or financial problems I don’t really care what type it is it could be the worst but I would still ride it because I just want to have fun and my dream is to ride dirt bikes and pit bikes. My dream pit bike is the crf110f but I know for sure I will never have that in my hands even. Especially when I can’t even buy a 500-600 dollar dirtbike like the Tao Tao or Apollo. I love looking at dirt and pit bikes they make me feel like one day I will get one. My dad can’t buy me one because he has bills and not only that we are in a bad situation right now. But who cares about what I got to say you make the best content and I love when you get a new dirt bike because it makes me feel like when I finally be able to work in 3 more years I will finally get a 600 dollar dirt bike. I know that my dream won’t come true about the crf110f. But that’s ok. Keep up the work you put in these videos. Have a good day.

if you've never had/rode a dirtbike before, you're in a tricky spot. There's not a whole lot of big bikes that are super beginner friendly, but if you are experienced a yz250f is great. However, by the demeanor of the question and the base of which it is on, I recommend the TTR230
