Haven't finished watching it until but the 300 looks 👌🏻 and sound beautiful I think the tbi was a good move but back to the old premix but at least they finally got the suspension dialed in at stock and I'm going to carry on and I'll give you my honest opinion
Was he even worthy of being a test rider fell off 5 times Infront of camera man nearly drowned him self in a river No good clutch control & and doesn't no when to change gear properly for the speed that he is doing I don't think he would be very good at any sport that he tried doing
@@matthewtoes6433 I'm testing the durability :) It does make me smile though. The pure hatred in your heart when you see someone else succeed at something you want so bad is hilarious. Be kind. Being mean is not a good look.
The confidence you had in all of those bikes especially the 150 says it all, you have massively improved over the years and for KTM to call you...again says it all. Sorry little Karen here, Lesotho is a different country from South Africa. It's landlocked inside SA but different countries, but still awesome seeing you ride in my side of the world and in places in Lesotho where I have been. Epic!!
that is epic nice to be invited. I agree I have a 2 stroke 300 xc and love it. Heading to aussie next week for a bucket list ride in the outback, looking forward to that. Cheers
Wow! What an experience mate 👍👍👍 made up for you - bet that was frikin tiring though ! I’d have chosen a 250 2T for that lot shame you didn’t get to try the full fleet 👍👍👍
These bikes are really really amazing and the front guys could go fast that even my self couldn't see the road clearly and the motorbike sound always gets me 🤣🤓
I don’t mind the idea of an electric powervalve. Honda had the RC valve back in the day. Only problem is bad wiring. But they may have resolved it. Glad you had fun though! To be honest I wasn’t the biggest fan of KTM until I saw the new models and the design is growing on me.
Welcome to SA mate!! Would have been epic to be there 😅 Looke like you had major fun! The new KTM 300 seems rad! Seeing you back in Africa again? :) *That bail at the river was the money shot for the photographers LOL, good one bud. Enjoy man!
Wow that scenery. So lucky. Surprised you didn't get more chance to ride every bike. Would of liked to hear your thoughts on both 250s. Excellent footage
you did well there to keep up when you haven't ridden the trail before, I'm not surprised you hit that tape barrier either, so hard to see at that speed on grass!
Dang it. The secret is out. Lesotho is the best riding ever. Good to see you on some of the Roof time trial routes there. It gets way more technical. But when you get up top the big mountains the view is worth the toil. 300 is the one you want for Lesotho.
great video and riding. seemed like the terrain in the 4 stroke part was a lot more technical. I have the 350 and love it, once i get tired it does become a little bit of a handful . i guess endurance really is important.
I've been watching your for 4-5 years now its crazy how Marvis has come from riding with his friends and having a laugh to meetings Jarvis now being flown out to test ride new bikes
Hope you enjoyed this side of the world, love the videos and stay positive. Would love to ride with you one day so come back to South Africa soo. Love from cape town
Haha wow. I just emigrated from South Africa to New Zealand. I haven't been watching you uploads as much as I want to but some9told me to watch this upload and I'm grateful I did.. What an extraordinary experience you had been given to think where you started out to been flown around the world to test bikes out. Wow. The way you pronounce Lesotho is awesome. Loved the video parts that I've seen now I will continue to watch it.
If you want to improve your clutch work and throttle control in the woods, go with the 150. When you hop back on the big bike it’ll seem like a breeze lol
They all weigh nearly the same +/- a kilogram. There is no noticeable weight difference, so I'm quite confused about why he always talks about 4 strokes being "sooo much heavier"
@@theyeetus1428 In a four stroke you have alot more rotating mass, altough the four strokes wont feel particularly heavier when the engine isoff, but when the engine is running they do feel heavier than two strokes..
@@theyeetus1428Most of those people are “two stroke 4 lyf” kind of people who probably haven’t ridden a modern four stroke or are just biased. That said, there is still an appreciable difference in ride feel; the four strokes have more weight higher up in the engine and as @777melin said, the rotating mass and engine braking on a four stroke makes it feel heavier, especially 350 and above.
Great video, going to be hard to resist a new 2024!! Not a lion in sight but I did notice a hippo in the stream - we all knew that wasn’t the best line, plus a waiting crowd Ha!! A ‘short’ for the crash perhaps?? 🤙🤙🤙
This was a great comparison. You could tell that you were riding better on the 300 compared to the 350. The 350 was more prone to stalling on the technical section and required more momentum in difficult sections, whereas the 300 you could course correct more easily and the engine was happier in the very technical stuff.
Hopefully these are better than the 890 adventure, a friend of mine got a 23 890 only to discover the subframe doesn't sit straight so your rear sits offset to the rear tire/swing arm. cant fit pannier racks to it as bolts wont match up. currently waiting for KTM to decide what they are going to do replace it or pretty much to bad so sad. been waiting 3 months for a reply. researching it results show its a fairly common fault.
I haven't ridden in many places in the world bit I have ridden in Lesotho and I'm sure it can be argued that it has some of the best riding available in the world. You should really consider going back to enter the Roof of Africa in the bronze or silver class. Watching you ride there really made me miss it.
i have a connection for that. i might be able to get some loaners, but if you had to rent, at least you could save money by staying at my place !! the dirt starts a half a mile from my house 😁🤘
Awesome Video, I look forward to every vid you drop. Honesty it looked like the 350 fit you better when you were torquing your way through the stuff. Too bad you didn't ride a 500.
I had the husky 350excf and it was great in open country. But like you in the tight technical stuff, you gotta focus so much trying not to stall it. I fell off it more, because it flamed out and stalled and the bike just stopped and tipped over.
*SO WHATS YOUR THOUGHTS?*
My thoughts are that I suddenly really a need a new 300
Haven't finished watching it until but the 300 looks 👌🏻 and sound beautiful I think the tbi was a good move but back to the old premix but at least they finally got the suspension dialed in at stock and I'm going to carry on and I'll give you my honest opinion
