Hey steve your a awesome reviewer, just wanted to know if you really need to download the app to set it up ir just go into the tv settings on your lg tv and set it up that way
I just got the S95qr and paired it with a C3 and I think it's fantastic. First test was John Wick 4 from a 4K blu ray. I didn't want an audio system that's loud but not detailed. This system is very detailed and highly accurate. On this movie, for example, you can track bullets flying over your head from one side to the other, and I feel like I could go over to my living room wall and find the exact spot where the bullet landed. I think if you're gonna spend the $$$ for an OLED TV for an optimal viewing experience, it's well worth it to invest in a soundbar system that compliments the TV. WOW Orchestra isn't just a gimmick. It's actually very impressive.
@@TechSteve Can you help me understand something... For some reason I can't find the answer to what is probably a simple question. Why plug external devices into the soundbar rather than the TV? One reason might be to save ports on the TV, but how does this affect the audio quality? I have an LG bluray player and a Series X console plugged into the C3 currently, and the C3 in turn is connected by eARC to the S95qr soundbar. Is this worse/better/equivalent than plugging the externals directly into the soundbar? (If the answer involves "passthrough" I don't know what that is really.)
@EleaticStranger yes the main reason is to add ports, or for people who uses a monitor without eARC, pass thru bypass the TV process for audio and allows the sound to go from the signal directly to the soundbar
If you can remember some months back I requested a review of a soundbar you would recommend for me. Indeed you just did a review on the sound bar I have in mind.
Thanks Tech Steve. I watched Andrew Robinsons review about this bar and he hated it. I went with the Samsung Q990c, i love it. Thank you so much Tech Steve, i love u!
I ended up with the SQY90 (step below this one) and I can say its an amazing system! Love mine! Black Friday for the win! The rear speakers aren't up firing unfortunately as that is exclusively only for the SQ95 version.
The reason I went with the s95 was because of the rear speakers. yes, you can add on rears later with your model, however, they're not as nice as these, and....I got my set for 700 from Video Only. Pretty stellar deal if you ask me.
BOught s90, need to return, sounded good for our living room but the sub woofer kept shutting down after 10 minutes no matter how many resets and restarts and re paring it.. kept blinking red led behind it meaning issue with pcb inside, it was hot and smelling funny out of box.. Sure sounded good when was working with bar…
Isn’t the point of soundbars mostly cause the sound on super thin TVs is usually poor? So is the tv’s sound working with the bar really any better than the bar alone?
In my country, the LG sound bar S95qr costs $1000 and the SP11ra soundbar costs $500. I have an lg TV (α7 Gen5 AI Processor 4K lg). Tell me what to buy (S95qr or sp11ra) @@TechSteve
I recently bought an LG OLED C4 in 77" and I would like to know if the LG S95QR is a good option and if I will enjoy all the functions available? I know that the S95TR is already out, but it costs more than twice the price of the S95QR, and I think which does not justify.
Great video mate, would you have recommendations for rear LG speakers for my USC9S soundbar ? I have a LG C2 paired with Wow Orchestra and would like to add rear speakers to it. Thanks in advance! 👍
I know this isn’t related to this video but I have a question about 2 tvs I know you reviewed in the past. I have the option to get in 85” size a q80b or x90k for $1000 new. And can’t decide. Most of the reviews are for the ips panel for the q80b I know you reviewed the smaller size with a va panel what are your thoughts between these 2 tvs for the same price. Supposedly the blooming is better now on the x90k
I have this sound bar, a Marantz NR6014 AVR, and the 77C1....what is the optimum setup? Do I connect ARC from Soundbar to ARC on TV or ARC on AVR to ARC on TV or simply use BT and Wi Fi. for the SoundBar?
Hello, Do you have to enable the WOW ORCHESTRA everytime you turn on your TV? I have a G3 and it seems that whenever my TV is off for a while, I have to reenable it. Is there a setting where I can leave it enabled all the time? Thanks! 🙏
Hello i own a LG SK9 J from 2019 and (soon) a LG C3 77 inch...can i get a simular Sound xperience with those Device or do I need this specific Soundbar for that "Orchestra Sound"???
I plugged an Xbox into it and it showed 4k120Hz using the inputs on the soundbar with 2 HDMI 2.1 cables, that’s the scene I showed on the video. The link I provided is the actual unit I reviewed, something they make different variations of products worldwide
good review but your sponsored so you didn't pay for it. Just brought the S95QR for $887 AU. I have a 55un7300ptc and need higher stands. hook up to a Nvidia shield pro and i'm good to go
@TechSteve okay but I just happen to look into my CX setting. The sound output section has an option which states optical + tv speakers. I connect my s95qr to my LG cx by optical cable and now both my tv speakers and soundbar has sound. But that's not wow ochestra yea?
@@TechSteve yea the s95qr comes with a hdmi cable just that my existing set up was with optical so i plug my old soundbar our and just plug the s95qr to optical. yea i could change later on. I have these products. After the last update WOW was defaulted on. IMO it is tinny, awful.
