I haven't used variable AS3X gains in 4 or 5 years. I just set the gains to fixed and 30, 40, and 50 percent for roll, pitch, and yaw. A few planes require less gain because the wing is too flexible or has large ailerons. I rarely turn the gains up after the maiden. With the default gain settings of 40, 50, and 60 percent, I would set the gain knob at mid-position for the first takeoff.

@@txkflier Cool, I mostly turn it all the way down until it's a windy day and then I crank it up a bit according to how much wind it is I'm trying to fight That's been my procedure and I just like the cool capability of being able to turn all the way down which turns it off and turn it up with the knob when I'm ready

@@JeWCyDuDe We tried it with the pilot launch and it worked but I wasn't thinking about it at the time to get the footage but it still worked I'll get it next time we test.
However both of these dip down pretty good without the assist on as you can see in the video they both went straight up. Thanks for watching and the comments please keep um coming

@Pooley929 I just added some up trim when in safe mode.
2-3mm is all you need.. or you could put it on a switch. Would work well on landings as well.
Kind of a wasted feature IMO.
