AS3X+ is butter smooth! It's like a high-performance car that had babies with a luxury car. Best of both worlds in the sky. You did a good job showing that. That MIG-29 looks menacing on the ground and in the air.
So, as you may know, I started in this hobby in late May this year. I began with the F-35 and am still flying it. I'm using the Hobby Eagle Super 4 A3 gyro. After discussing it with an AI, it suggested I could achieve similar stability to what you showed in your video by setting a 2% lock on the rudder. Unfortunately, I can't run gain on throttle with this setup because of my receiver, so the closest I can do is fly the F-35 hard tomorrow and tune the gyro to get close. I'm leaning towards being fully committed to open-source systems and ELRS, so Spektrum isn't in the cards for me right now.
Welcome to the greatest hobby in the world! Hope you stay for the long run. It just keeps getting better and better! We need more new people in the hobby. The old generation can be a handful sometimes. It's just because they just want you to succeed. They can come off standoffish at times. It's just how they are. They are grumpy but you can learn a lot from them, lol.
Excellent flight. You are you going to release a video in setting up the nose wheel gyro? I had the nose gyro gain at 10% caused the tail to wag on my Freewing F22. Going to try again this weekend.
@zuidkb7312 are you also using heading hold? I would say 15 is good if your gains are at 1X. Is so lower it more. What plane are you experiencing thus with?
Nice! I just upgraded from a dx6 to nx10+ and updated all my receivers. Flying asap! 👊🏿💪🏿
NX10 is a very nice transmitter.
Great looking jet - nice landing! Thanks for sharing, guys!!!

Thank you 👍🏾

Yes, sir I like the improvement Spektrum made and thanks for the compliments 😊
Beautiful jet loving the yellow
Thank you
Those rear wheels are pointing the wromg way! Mine are starting to look the sam.
I've heard it's common on them.
Will I just updated my NX8 to the plus and will be all my Spectrum Gyro Receivers. Awesome flying. Night Jet. Great flight. 👍
You're gonna love the AS3X+ Bill and thanks for the compliment.
AS3X+ is like a Ferrari. Not that I know what a Ferrari feels like. But I'm sure it's incredible, lol.

That was a great day to fly!
Zero wind! Great flight!
You got that right!
Love the as3x+ .. but needed to lower my gains
@feelgooddany I simply started with what I had set before the update and the heading hold works smooth
@@rcpilotwillvery interested in your gain numbers!
Amazing video. Thanks for showing this. What are the settings on ur heading, stop and release?
I'll have to video it to explain.
That looked good , kinda nervous about heading down the + road just yet
It's super smooth man you'll love it.

Yes I do plan to release a video on the nosewheel and heading hold
I will try as3x tomorrow. See the landing, i dont fly with gyro this plane flies good with or without it
It can fly good with or without AS3X but AS3X+ makes it super smooth. You're gonna enjoy it.
Great Vid and flight!
Very interested in your gain numbers 😄 would you share them ? Mine are 30 50 30
Thank you. My MiG-29 is set to 40 60 60 but I'm using adjustable gains on roll and pitch.
@rcpilotwill aha !! 😄
Gonna try it, thx for your answer. Please keep the EDF vids coming 🙏
So you mean adjustable gains on throttle?? Thx bro
@feelgooddany on throttle and my right slider set a window the gains move around in
Ok thx @rcpilotwill
I saw the vid from John (2brc) and now I know what you talking about 😂
Thank you for the info
Awesome man! How does that nose gear gyro work?
It works really well this jet use to slide everywhere but the nose gyro works great
FK yeah bro!
😂👍🏾
I need to no the paint and tape you used on your fabulous 29
The name brand or paint is called color shot and I use the purple painters tape very low tack.
Is it water base do primer
HI Will, How have you got your nose wheel gyro set up? It is not exactly intuitive. Did you leave the heading hold at the default 50%?? Thanks
Heading 50 and gains at 20
@@rcpilotwill Thanks Will
Just wondering, what as3x gains do you use on higher speeds?
At higher speeds, you want nearly no gains
@@rcpilotwill what would be nearly no gains? I'm at 15 on higher speeds but it still wobbles. Do I need to go even lower? 15 seemed low to me already.
@zuidkb7312 are you also using heading hold? I would say 15 is good if your gains are at 1X. Is so lower it more. What plane are you experiencing thus with?
@@rcpilotwill no heading gains, they are at 1x. I'm experiencing it with the freewing banshee.
