My Bosch is just under 4 yrs 10 mos old. Fortunately, I got the 5 year warranty when I bought it. Last week I got hit with the E:07 error code, indicating (after the filter was checked, the impeller was free and there was no blockage in the lines) that it was the heat pump. That was replaced under the warranty and I immediately got the E:15 error code - probably the new heat pump connection is leaking. My old GE lasted 17 years without a problem. Sometimes you wonder.
Bummer! I have another video specifically about the e15. It is sometimes caused by the door not fully sealing, which could be from having it pulled out to fix the pump, and then reinstalled. Maybe that's the issue here. ruclips.net/video/nGmzH1_VEVw/видео.html
Well my friend who bought this one has not been impressed. Already giving her an error code and she is considering trying to exchange it. So, hard to say. In general appliances seem like a crapshoot. They compete with one another to keep prices as low as possible and have a lot of plastic parts.
Sorta confused here. Your title seems to imply you have answers to your questions. Did you post the video with no answers to share with us about whether there have been improvements? Feeling dense - maybe you were asking in earnest! Thanks!
Well jury is still out on this brand new one but my friend did call that she is already getting an error code on her Bosch after just 2 months. But that code isn't related to the door seal. It's about cleaning the filter which she says she has done multiple times. The big question for me is whether they've addressed the door seal issues that can lead to stopping mid cycle or the watertap error.
My 800 is 4 years old has had one issue,a big one,the E07 code which costs over $500 to correct. A $1200 dishwasher needs a major repair at only 4 years.
@@poodledad The Zeolite circulation fan. To get to the fan they have to completely remove the dishwasher from the cabinet. I just had the service tech here this morning and it took about an hour to repair. I was lucky that he found that the plastic tube that goes from the base of the washer up the back to the top was partially melted and had to be replaced, there’s a recall for this part so that was not charged against me and the call out fee which was $165,or my bill would have been over $700. At that point I would have just bought a new washer. I had kept my 800 in as clean a shape as I could so it looked very nice. Apparently if the zeolite doesn’t get enough air flow it overheats and melts the plastic tube. My zeolite chamber was replaced too. All the parts that were replaced now are covered under a 1 year warranty if there is another failure. I hope I get another 5-10 years out of this.
Well I'm not sure about the whirlpool option, but personally I wouldn't buy the Bosch. This bosch that I reviewed in this video was brand new and the homeowner is not happy with it after a few months. She keeps getting a "clean filter" error, which is weird.
All appliances require some customer maintenance. That’s just common sense. I don’t understand how you having problems installing a dishwasher is the manufacturer’s fault. A little common sense would help. Everything is everyone else’s fault. Lint needs to cleaned out of dryers. Washing machines are not the cleanest machines in the house leave the door or lid open when not use, wipe down the door gasket. A dishwasher is not a garbage disposal. Pulling your refrigerator out and cleaning your condenser coils. All these examples are the customers responsibility. Learn how to disassemble your products and perform routine maintenance. Wow!
FYI INSTALLING A Dishwasher INTO WOOD CABINETS. ONCE IN THE SPACE YOU WANT TO LEVEL AND ADJUST. USE THE FLOOR & countertop to secure a tight fit then anchor the side wood cabinetry with screws designed for wood.
May want to get that extended warranty! Which I normally don’t buy but lots of folks have had issues with these. Maybe they’ve fixed it but I’m not sure. So far my friend who bought the new one hasn’t had issues. My issues showed up right after the 1 year warranty expired.
@@poodledad we went ahead and got the 800 ended up getting it for 949 and 150 for a 5 year warranty from Lowe’s got it put in last night hopefully it serves us well.
Well shit. I just had an appliance repair guy here today to figure out what's wrong with my 8 year old Whirlpool dishwasher. Long story short, I'm replacing it. When I asked him what brand I should go with he said Bosch for longevity. Now I don't know what to do lol.
Appliances are quite the crapshoot. I think Bosch had a bad batch of the 800s. Maybe they've fixed the door issue but my friend who bought the one in this video has been getting "clean filter" error and it doesn't seem to go away no matter how often she cleans the filter. Hard to know what to recommend.
@@sspringss2727 Well I'm VERY happy with it. I ended up getting that exact model I said I was going to get. Not as expensive as the 800 series ones are plus was hearing about issues with those anyway.

Thinking of getting a custom ready dishwasher and the options are limited.. 800 Bosch or the kitchenaid.. which would you go with?
I'm not going to buy another Bosch 800. I don't have any experience with kitchenaid though. At this point appliances seem like a crapshoot.

We’ve had that Whitlpool for well over a year and do far (touch wood), its been great. Others may have different experiences, but we are happy so far.
