    We have only had our Bosch 800 about 2 months. This morning I could not get my dishwasher to start. I checked the manual and there wasn’t a troubleshooting page. Grrr. Glad I found your video. I think it’s a bracket issue. I was able to get it to finally start by leaning on the door to get it to close more firmly and seal, and therefore finally start. I’m going to have to keep an eye on it though to make sure it doesn’t wobble loose mid-cycle. Bummer we’re dealing with this issue when we thought we were buying top of the line.

    We were happy that the house we just bought had this oven. Looked forward to doing a lot of cooking. But I can't figure out how to turn the oven on. The electric script says press "start" but there isnt a "start" button. Found the manual online but it doesnt communicate. Eating another cold dinner tonight!

    I bought one of these dishwashers 2.5 years ago. I was not able to find a sensible way to install the mounting clips, so I have a bit of a wobble issue. It also took a bit of practice to get the thing to start correctly: carefully press the center of the Power button, then carefully press the center of the Start button, then carefully close the door. But now, it's not an issue. I have not had any of the other problems you discuss. I love this appliance, especially since it's so quiet you can't tell whether it's running. When it dies, I am going to get it stuffed and mounted in the family room above the fireplace.

    I just returned from a long (3200+ mile) trip through British Columbia in a 2022 Thor C-Class XL with a Ford E450 motor, and everything you said was right on the money. The longest part of the trip I drove was around 7 hours (with several stops along the way to stretch the legs, have something to eat and drink, take pictures), but it was actually a lot easier to do that I thought it would be. Particularly backing into a spot. That camera turned out to be useless most of the time, because it's not pointed towards the driver, and when sunlight hits the cab you can't see anything on it. I'm used to using the door mirrors anyway. But yeah, getting out and having a look around to see the clearance and get an overall feel for the size of your site and any obstacles, is something I would recommend too. If you're an experienced driver, a quick walk-around is all you really need. I laugh every time I notice the rearview mirror inside the cab, which is completely useless on a vehicle with a closed rear end. One road in particular I had to drive over was 100% gravel and bumpy, and was like driving over a 3 mile long cattleguard, only worse. One of the side windows shook free of its lock and slid open, one of the shelves inside a kitchen cabinet popped loose and dropped overthing off of it which then came tumbling out as soon as I opened it for inspection. And all this doing 5 mph. The longest drive of my life! The arm rest on the driver's seat is too low for me, as the driver, to actually enjoy. I don't know how other drivers ever used it, but in my opinion it should be raised 2 inches and then I could rest my arm on it while driving. I found this vehicle's fuel consumption, for a V-10 motor, to be better than the manual described. Maybe it's the clear mountain air of BC that did it, maybe it was my driving, but the manual said I could get around 370 miles out of a full tank (54 gallons), but I managed to get almost 500 miles out of a full tank. I know driving continuously for long periods is good for fuel efficiency, as opposed to lots of stop and go driving, but improving the fuel use by that much? Did Ford just get it wrong? This was my first solo trip in any size rv, but it won't be my last. I had a blast out there, driving literally around the Rockies, BC into Yukon, touching the Alaska border, seeing remote lakes, glaciers, and lonely highways with lots of wildlife, a little boondocking along the way, and much more comfortable behind the wheel than I could have been in a regular car. My brother-in-law calls what I did "glamping", because he prefers sleeping in a tent that he can put in the back of his pickup, but I like being a bit more comfortable, and this really was just that. I enjoyed your video, and now regret not making my own. I'll have to work on that.

    • @poodledad
      @poodledad 9 дней назад

      Sounds like a lot of fun! That sounds like pretty good MPG. I use a scangauge E which tracks fuel consumption. I usually get around 8 mpg. You should definitely make a video!

      Well jury is still out on this brand new one but my friend did call that she is already getting an error code on her Bosch after just 2 months. But that code isn't related to the door seal. It's about cleaning the filter which she says she has done multiple times. The big question for me is whether they've addressed the door seal issues that can lead to stopping mid cycle or the watertap error.

      @@poodledad The Zeolite circulation fan. To get to the fan they have to completely remove the dishwasher from the cabinet. I just had the service tech here this morning and it took about an hour to repair. I was lucky that he found that the plastic tube that goes from the base of the washer up the back to the top was partially melted and had to be replaced,there’s a recall for this part so that was not charged against me and the call out fee which was $165,or my bill would have been over $700. At that point I would have just bought a new washer. I had kept my 800 in as clean a shape as I could so it looked very nice. Apparently if the zeolite doesn’t get enough air flow it overheats and melts the plastic tube. My zeolite chamber was replaced too. All the parts that were replaced now are covered under a 1 year warranty if there is another failure. I hope I get another 5-10 years out of this.

Looks like you found your way through and achieved a great result. I think with what you have learned, you could probably build the stairs yourself. The metal rails do flex slightly. That's the 6 ft length. Imagine how much flex you would see in the 10 foot. I would guess the 10 footers are for decks much closer to the ground.

    We're getting almost an identical deck, and we got quotes from $34,000.00 to $56,000.00. We also got bids just pre pandemic just before shut down, and the quotes were literally $19,000.00 to $26,000.00. What a huge increase 4 years later. We decided on the Timbertech Legacy line Pecan. I hope it's pretty like yours, here we have to get engineered and permitted it sucks.

    Thanks for your post. A small critique: the music in the background is unnecessary and drowns out your voice in parts. I haven't figured out how to turn on the oven; hopefully, it's not just a dud. The top came right on and works fine.

    I've been looking for my E15 water leak for 2 days now... Your comment about the plastic channel made sit up and listen... I couldn't find the source of the leak... it seemed to come from within the "foam leak sensor'... through your video at 3:58 runtime... I now realize the plastic channel runs directly into that...this makes me pretty sure this is the source of my water... I think I have the same sealing issue along the bottom like you had... I couldn't figure out how water would leak into the bottom catch tray from the main washing compartment until you mention the plastic channel. Thank you for your video. I about to go check that gasket for gunk and try to clean it out!

      Dang, that sounds like the process I went through. I haven't had the water tap issue for the past few years since I cleaned that lower gasket. But i have to clean the side and top gasket frequently to prevent the dishwasher from shutting off mid cycle. Pain in the butt.

      @@poodledad No E15 this morning! Yay!! But I did have a little water in the catch-tray under dishwasher… not enough to trigger the sensor I guess… I’m seeing a white scale residue on my door gasket… mostly one side… I scrubbed that for while yesterday before we ran the evening load. I’m considering buying new gasket to see if that will make a tighter seal. Do you know that part is replaceable? Thanks again!

    Looks like my 800. At just 4 years old it started throwing E07 codes which is the zeolite fan. After multiple resets I called Bosch service. 2 weeks later the tech came out found more problems and ordered parts and said he’d be back in another 2 weeks. This repair is gonna cost me over $500. A $1200+ dishwasher that’s just 4 years old giving me this kind of problem at just 4 years old doesn’t live up to Bosch’s reputation. I am NOT happy!😡😡😡

    Thank you so much for making this video! I noticed that there was some water spray on the floor next to the dishwasher. I didn't know where it had come from, and then I had the blinking light of death on the dishwasher. After I cleaned up the edges, it worked fine. Thanks a million!
