Fun fact: Jeff Farmer (Sting's clone) can be playable in this game for using his nWo t-shirt with scorpion tights. Himself tested this game during his njpw career.
I owned VPW2 on N64 back in the day when it was still relatively new (~2001). It was so much better than anything else we had in the US, and I will never regret having payed more to have the cartridge overnighted.
Maybe a screen grab in a magazine, but my friends and I played so much THQ/Aki wrestling stuff. I had the cart/converter/Gameshark tower, spending hours correcting wrestler names. 10/10
Yea, I think we got the short stick of the deal on this game with WCW vs nWo world tour Virtual Wrestling 64, pretty much the complete version and more
Out of all of the AKI wrestling games for the N64, this is the only one I’ve never played. The reason I never got it was because it plays a lot like WCW/nWo World Tour (which… I wasn’t a huge fan of). I might order it online some day just so it’s apart of my collection.
This game is essentially World Tour on steroids. The extremely large roster, plentiful unlockables, and the unique rule sets in each promotions is what does it for me.
@@DaneZane there should be sites to buy it online. Then either you need to buy an accessory or GameShark that will allow you play Japanese carts. Or you could find a rom online that would go with an N64 emulator.

@@pro-wrestlingichibanbrazil8016 I gotta check that out
@@beanomac3126 you can get him if you change the real sting's costume in edit mode. Sting and nWo Sting are in same page.

@@johnforse9375 that must've been a pretty penny back then. How did you hear about it to begin with?

My personal favorite in the series. The roster and matchups seem virtually endless
@@Jimbotronics yeah, I dont understand why we got screwed on the roster. I can't wait to continue the series
