Big Swede does a great job explaining the uses of the fertilizers and their applications. I always enjoy his input.
I was going to say the same. Well put.
Chemists they are
You mean herbicides..
I agree he’s a very smart guy.
This channel really should be over a millions subs! By far the best farm and family content!
Couldn’t agree more. For an old farm kid, I don’t miss a single video.
And more views per video
Pretty good channel but Sonne farms is much better.
Love hearing the big Swede talk about his plans in terms of Agronomy keep it up. Would love a video talking nutrients ect.
Drone footage was tops. Gave a real good look at the chaos and mayhem that was today. That was GREAT!! Also gave a great look at the expanse of the fields and the work being done there. I really enjoyed that. Nice goin guys.
I used to be a custom applicator in michigan before I retired. Lol. I've painted a lot of acres yellow with Eptam, Sonoran, and Treflan pre forefible beans of all colors. Great content and may God reward your efforts with good crops
If I remember correctly, the yellow active ingredient in Sonalan was first developed as a paint dye but it didn’t work well for that. It was then found to be good for weed control. Maybe someone else knows more of that story.
Until last year I hadn’t seen edible beans planted. Very interesting to see the ground prep for them!!
Green beans are even worse. You have green giant, del monte etc telling you when to plant a they harvest the crop and they have a rep at each field to make sure the crop is planted to their standards. Also the field has to be irrigated.
It is, what it is...the mid-west farmers favorite saying...not heard by farmers on the west coast.
Great drone video clip btw!
Love the way you guys can keep such positive attitudes. Great to see you guys joking around in "less than ideal" conditions. Thanks for the video, Chet, it was enjoyable... as always.
I am always amazed at how complex farming has become. You guys do a great job. I also enjoy it when you have footage from the drone.
Love that big Swede and his attitude and and knowledge
Always enjoy BS & Chet conversations.
We used applied pre-merge with the tillage tractor. Used saddle tanks on the tractor and mounted spray nozzles on front edge of tillage equipment. That way we could do two jobs with one pass.
Larson boys are hard at work as always. Get it done and be safe
Nice drone footage. Thanks Erik. I Like hearing the technical details that put it all in perspective.
I just love the drone shots
Love the Big Swede
Thanks for another great video Chet.
It was interesting and informative and entertaining.
Wow. Doing the black beans is a lot of work. Did not realize the black beans were as touchy as they are.
Lots of field preparation and fertilizer and spraying and then planting. Wow. Lots of work with the black beans.
Thanks to Eric for explaining a lot of the fertilizer and spraying techniques and such. Good job Eric.
You all good together and did teamwork and made it work. Nice job.
Love the drone footage. It was great.
Thanks for everything Chet and crew. You all take care and be safe.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Sunglasses- i love seeing you connect when you look into each others eyes
Hello from Chiang Mai Thailand
Another great video! Nice work, Chet! The BS does a good job of explaining chemical use. Interesting how so little goes a long way. Ounces to the acre-must be some potent stuff..
A lot of work go into those edible beans. Can't wait to see the video of Big sweede pulling a Dougo.
Sonolan must be a derivative of Treflan, one of the first herbicides for soybeans. It came out yellow and had to be incorporated ASAP. Quite the task for a JD 720 pulling a 14 ft disk. Only a 30 ft sprayer though.
Lets Go Team Larson !
Really liked the drone video and the tunes that accompanied it.
I really love watching Chett and Eric together, they are brilliant, such good friends.Eric is a good informer, regardless of if you understand or don't.The shame is, that I will never get to meet him. Boo Hoo. Take care all of you, From UK.
Thanks for the explanation Eric. Thanks for sharing team Larson, great job guys.
So very great to see another video from my favorite farm channel
Chet. Fun fact a lot of those garage door openers close if you hit enter. Without putting in the code to close again. All of mine do.
Love seeing the huge swaths made with each piece of equipment.
Great crew to enjoy watching 😊
I hate when people complain about using chemicals on your fields . It’s a must if they don’t like it. They don’t have to watch the video. I think the video was awesome. Even the drone footage was absolutely awesome but it just irritates me that people bitch about chemicals when they know nothing about them.
It's so wet this year: Drone shot of quad trac creating a dust storm. 😆
Drone shots are great!
when folks say "yer over machined for yer operation" well its for years like this, we just had big hail n tornadoes up here in Canuckastan
Typically you don't see this kind of creativity and ingenuity! Your ability to surprise and delight is unmatched. Keep breaking the mold and showing us all what's possible.
And I Am Floating Village Life
Drone shots are awesome. Your fuel costs have to be insane. And the chemicals.Wow
Chemicals, fertilizer and seed are the top costs on a farm.
Leased land is also extremely expensive.
Fuel actually isn't bad compared to the above costs
This was an awesome video, I appreciate the detail of the process.
Awesome video guys. 🚜🚜🚜
Chet Eric Broodie and John that was a job looked like the whole farm was out there but great job thank you Eric's explanations were great on his figures thank you all
^Jordan 😊🤷
Great Job. Love the drone footage.
Amazing video Guys. thank y'all so much
Nice drone footage!! Fun to watch.
This year has been crazy been so wet the last month haven’t been able to get the first cut of hay gonna start Friday and hope the grass isnt too tough
Holy cow I have never seen so many different pieces of equipment at one time in one field
Watch a field be seeded with potatoes.
I wait everyday to see ur videos. Awesome content
Love the drone shots!!!
Loving the aerial shots totally cool
Gotta love the smell of eptam put a lot of that on over the years on potatoes
Lets go team Larson from roy mt im koby Grimsrud
Hope to get a shout out from Chris!
Great ending Swede!
Pre Roundup chemistry I had doubted was still available!!
Far cry from the 1950 wide track allis Chalmers on my Uncles farm, growing Potatoes.
Amazing video Chet!!!
Just beautiful work be safe all god bless
Good stuff guys
As a young kid we encorporated Teflon with a JD 60 and 720 pulling discs. We had enough coverage to one pass behind the tractor mounted 55 gallon sprayer tank on the back of a Farmall M
We had a tank, pump and nozzles mounted on a disk to spray just inches ahead of being incorporated. I believe it was Eptam we were using .
Great drone footage 👍
Warmed my heart watching you guys work that land, every view brought back a great memory, thanks Chet!
Got to fill the Thousands Lakes up LOL
Interesting on the preemerge. There are a lot of pivots around here. Guys have just gone to spraying that chem down after planting and then watering it in.
Pivots make it easier.
But you have a ton of money in them.
I grew up farming in sand country of central Wisconsin. We irrigated 90% of days from summer to harvest.
Would pump irrigation ponds so dry we would have to stop irrigation to let the springs refill them.
You guys sure get along good like seeing that makes for a better work day great videos hope you have great yields this year good luck to all the farmers this year you guys and gals keep this country going ❤.
Props on the drone footage. Love it. Keep up the good work.
Thanks 👍
Based upon current conditions, you’re dealing with and they have to look at the commodities market soon. Thank you.
Hi Swede
Head of Mississippi where I rode my bike 21 miles to catch Musky's 8-12 lbs=Lake Winnibigoshish, not the lake in Florida , Okeechobee.
We use both of in late 80s when I had a 20 ft rotary tiller to incorporate in ground. I always made my stomach sick.
Great content as always-kudos!
great video
Very cool video, great job.
Enjoyed this video. Thanks.
GET-R-Done!
looks like you guys are having a wet spring, we're having a dry one here in Eastern NC. Thankfully we have pivots. Show more drone footage.
Love the videos keep em' coming!
I hope you don’t mind me saying , I as a retired farmer in the U. K. I miss the time you , Chet and the Eric ( the big Swede ) used to have much more craic together , you don’t spend as much time together 😧🤔😊
Do you guys use Brawndo? It's got what plants crave!
Love it
Hell ya brother
ty
Sonalan turns everything yellow including skin.
Quick video chet
Chet I have a question what would you prefer. Would you want a wet spring then a dry fall or dry spring and wet fall
Chat your father did amazing job on the access road, quit spinning the tires, and making ruts I hope you’re doing as well as he is when you’re his age
Good drone montage. I liked the music. Reminiscent of Nikki's editing. RIP 😒
Larsy , do anything with farming simulator? 19 or next game coming , idk what one people gonna stick with just moving mods and files 3-5 years
I’m thinkin’ ‘bout them (black turtle) beans.
👍
Good job guys. Great video. 👍❤️
" It is what it is but it isn't good "
Chet what weather app do you use. Love the vedeos great content.
What kind of blue tooth headsets do you guys run?
I think both stuck and plugged.
Chet just remind yourself that if farming was easy everyone would be doing it.
I see you guys struggling with ground conditions. As there any merit in using a drain spinner in very wet spots and then manually pumping excess water out as it fills. I image laying out cheap pipe and leaving in place and then going around manually with a pump as required with the 4 wheeler. Might be a chore but might buy you time on the worst patches of your fields.
I just read that South Florida got 20 inches of rain in 24 hours. Be glad you don't farm there.
I live in South Florida, Delray it was raining so hard yesterday the lake went up a foot after the severe drought we had for 3 months.
7.5 inches around Lake Placid Florida yesterday, 6/12 !! H.
I'm glad I don't live there!
One town has almost 4 inches in an hour.
Total rain from that storm were over 35 inches in areas of south florids.
food banks in the area keep giving us black beans I don't think I've ever eaten a black bean
it looked to me like you spray tobacco juice on top of lima beans then black beans are the harvest
Is Chet the 6 oldest?
