They should reform the thieves guild and dark brotherhood into a bounty system with dynamic leads etc. Talk to certain people in bars and you'll get closer to your target.
That'd be so awesome, but only if they implement it in a way where you can talk to as many as or as little people as you want, and you have to use the info they give you in order to find the target. So what they tell you might show up in your quest hints, but you're not given an actual quest marker, only leads. That'd be wayy better than a boring quest formula of "talk to this guy, then talk to that guy, then talk to another guy, then go here to find your target"
The antiquarian insight is for the rarity of scrying you can do, you can find any rarity of lead no matter your level, you just can't use the lead if you don't have points in it.
O.M.F.G...I've been scrying like crazy cuz I want the mythical items and I LIT spend like 15mins a dig looking for the damn location randomly i never knew you can quickslot the eye!!! THANK YOU seriously

5:38 May have been changed, but you're wrong about needing skill points in Antiquarian Insight to even be able to find leads in higher difficulties. I had not even started this, when I found the advanced lead (purple) for "Yokudan Skystone Scabbard" in Hew's Bane some half an hour ago. That lead was what made me check out antiquities, and go do the starting quest.

The only keen eyes I use are alchemy and clothier. Them plants be blending in sometimes lol. I havnt gotten to chests yet. Only been playing a few weeks. All the other keen eyes don't seem useful.
@@TheVioletBunny you use the blue tablet to find "leads" which are "a lead/clue to an artifact", then you go to the blue zone on your mape once its revealed from the tablet then you dig it up and make money... I hate when these youtubers ONLY use the words from the game instead of talking to us like newbs which we are ffs, so dumb.

This is crazy...I decided the day b4 yesterday to do the antiquities and I made it to purple ones. It's been fun. Here's the thing. I thought you had to dig the entire piece up not just uncover a section of it. I've spent more time making sure I uncovered it completely. I wonder if it changed since you made video.
Thanks for this video, I was on the fence as it seemed like a fun activity but wasn't sure if a casual player could partake in it. As someone that still has their first ever character still only on level 30 after a few years Id say it isnt 😅
It is a lot of skill points I think however that again they wanted this to be something that took time, because of how much this will effect the game in the future. Like they are probably going to keep adding to this so if you get the initial skill points it will suck at first but then you will have them all.
They wanted this to take time but then put a time limit on leads...Seems fun but that is the one part I think is awful about this. I can’t focus on this and have fun because I have to focus on grinding out eight hundred and something levels lol. If they got rid of the time limits on leads I’d think this was awesome.
I also feel the time limit takes away from the enjoyment of the puzzles and the scry. Just watching your video and watching that timer go down was stressing me out! I hope that's not the case when I start scrying but hopefully the devs can adjust the timer in some way so that it's not distracting. Thank you for your wonderful and informative video.
and we already did this kind of play when we did the museum quests hunting pieces all around the maps.anyway it is what it is they only add the eye and force us to spend skill points into it to do old content with a few new items that could have been put in treasure chests that we got with treasure maps
One thing no one has covered is when using the augur to locate where to start digging there is a white outline which is sometimes a box, sometimes a U shape...what does this white outline indicate?

How do you put Augur into a "Quick slot????" Did this activity change since a year? I don't see any of what you are talking about. I don't have a tools tab in inventory or slotting. I completed the quest to start the skill. But the tools do not appear anywhere in any inventory.

Please help! I don't have or can't find the "tools" section to put the antiquarian eye in my quick slot. I'm on Xbox One. I don't have a quick slot tab nor do i have a tools tab. I can't find the eye and have spent hours searching dig sites with no luck still! Every video I watch explains it great for people playing on anything but Xbox One so I'm basically left out and left hanging and confused and wasting countless hours of gameplay (and my life). HELP!
Go to collections, tools, go to antiquarian's eye, hit x to assign, assign it to the top of the wheel. Then hit the d pad up button to use when you're in the antiquity site.
For PS4 it's holding the arrow button on d pad . The arrow up . If you press it in long you get the quick slot wheel. If you do see it now, it's empty likely. Go to inventory. Go to slot table items. Also mementos, emotes, etc work that has ASSIGN showing down on the bottom among the other options. Click assign and you get to choose where to put the emote or item in your quick slot.
I honestly do. I’m not a top tier player, I play to have fun, to help others. And the game has so much content for me to complete so yea I think it’s worth it

A bit of constructive criticism. A beginners guide, but doesn't use a beginners "map". It would have been easier if you actually used a beginners "map" so can partake more. What you just did was show how to drive a race car to a person who is starting driving classes who has no clue how to drive. You should have made a new character. This is really not a beginner guide since when we start it will look different and then be a bit harder to understand what you made sound so easily. Saying that, your voice was great, clear and concise. Even though you didn't use a beginner "map" you did explain through example. *edit* You go way too fast. Only reason I understood a bit was I did two or three excavations. While your video is really helpful and I learned a lot, I still had no clue what you were doing. Remember this is for beginners. You know what you are doing. I don't have a clue what you did since you went to fast to take dirt away and I couldn't understand why you did it. Yes you explained it, but you already moved onto another square while explaining 3 squares earlier. So I got lost a bit. Last thing. You never did explain what layer is what. Again, I only new because I had to experiance myself and quessed until I knew. I am sure new people didn't know why you picked the "layer" since I (we) didn't know what was top layer, mid lawyer bottom layer. Again, constructive criticism. :)

they had already so much to fix ,the mini game its just something they put on so they wont do much to fix real issues.also this looks like a mobile minigame implemented in a pc game .we alrready had the treasure chest they could have used them instead of implementing the new mini game .the ugly part is mixing and messing up everything again like they did in every patch .messing up skill lines,and sets .just when i got used to the mechanics they mix them again.To me it looks like they try to hard to keep the game like new even if the comunity only ask for bug fixes and performance.i like the game allot but the new mini game i dont find fun i prefer fishing then runing like a mad man tresure hunting because we already got enough of that by now with the treasure chests
I don't like this thing, I will try it only because of the Skyrim Event. The developers are making a lot of shit at the same time. Keen Eye: Treasure Chests is by far the most long-term value out of all the passives.
The only keen eyes I use are alchemy and clothier. Them plants be blending in sometimes lol. I havnt gotten to chests yet. Only been playing a few weeks. All the other keen eyes don't seem useful.

Are you sure you need points into the skill to get high rarity leads? Because Ive gotten golden and purple leads before i even bought Greymoor.
You can pick up the leads at any level/ no level.
Just started watching this but the best zone I used to grind both was bal foyen. 3 shrines in almost each corner for such a small area

The new skill lines for it use wayyyy too many skilllpoints. It's such a skillpoint hog just to make the minigame less tedious.

I've gotten several leads fishing. I'm pretty new to the game and have only killed a few world bosses, but I get leads seemingly at random.

When you augur to find the antiquity, it also shows boxlike lighter white lined areas what do those outlined areas tell you?
It basically shows you the boundary within where the antiquity is. I am hopefully going to be making an advanced guide soon :)
