I love how many Beginners Guides for ESO I see going up by vet players. It was something I was in sore need of when a came back to ESO after a 5 year hiatus. So much has changed and I’m very grateful so thank you for this 🙏🏿
Never outrun the tank. Keep close so the healer can get everyone, and don't get between the tank and the boss, raise your teammates. All excellent points!
I’ve been playing tank and too many dps players will run away from the healer and stand next to me or in front of me. I’m looking at them thinking “you will die haha”
you do a great job explaining in a clear way all of the dps topics. looking forward to tank and healer to help me out there also! appreciate you taking the time for these videos!
For a very long time I had no idea what DPS stood for. I missed it if you explained the abbreviation and what it meant. The hardest part of being a new player (without any other online gaming experience) is learning the abbreviations so heavily used.
As a fellow noob to MMO RPGs, the learning curve is fairly steep, but luckily I've only encountered nice players who are equipped to handle the noobs and carried me and a friend through our first dungeon run. But watching these videos will also help tremendously
Don't peel off a random add to go solo fight in a corner. As a tank I've dealt with this in every single MMO. Also if you get agro and you panic run away it's no different than running when you're on fire. TL;DR: You run you die.
This is especially important during untauntable bosses. As a healer, I promise it is easier to out heal momentary aggro than it is to keep up with a dps that runs from the boss.
I know this video is about a year old, but I just got it suggested to me by RUclips. Someone in a dungeon told me that the heavy attack on an ice staff no longer taunts. Just thought I'd throw that out there
Hey man, I started playing ESO a few days ago and I'm about to hit level 50, (magicka templar) I've been using one bar for dps and one bar to heal (dungeons etc) is it viable do keep doing so at end game?
How did you get to nearly 50 in a few days? I am doing a maglar too, and I absolutely love it!!!! Puncturing Sweep (the morph of Punc Strikes) simply melts enemies. 😀😃🤗
@@TheGreatPanicker Hi dude, I played with a friend and grinded quests whilst queueing for dungeons, I was healing so the queue's weren't that long. I use the same spell :D I'm now level 50 cp 26
This has some really great info, but I am looking for number targets. What numbers should I be looking/aiming for? Higher is better, but what is the ballpark on light attacks and heavies?
Beginner DPS-. 1. Understand what most people call DPS, is hitting about half as hard as what it could. Especially in PvP, and no matter what someone says, you cannot be maximum DPS and maximum Tank at the same time.
Great video dude. Have you got any tips for me as someone who uses a (X-box) controller ? I'm still struggling between movement/ steering the camera and using the buttons for my skills ☹️😩.
im a healer but am trying to do dps and it's hard :( i respect my dps members more but ... it is still annoying when everyone is running around and then they wonder why they are dead :)
Right now I'm hitting around 31K average single target DPS as a solo stamina DK and can hit numbers as high as 70K DPS when buffed by group members. This is after about one month of playing. Is that good?
"As a dps, don't stand in red as that will piss off your healers" Bruh, I was literally healing this type of a DPS while watching this video lol If I stopped healing for 5s, the DPS would die. And it was a normal random lol
@@Adam_Lutz it is a great spammable on solo stam builds as it gives you a shield. I replace with reverse slice once target is below 31%. Works suprisingly well.
Some points not all related to this video. This game is so eazy you don't need any of this. If you do less dmg it means that you will do boss 1min longer. Some mechanics may look like hard but it's only illusion because you don't have gear. The way dps is calculated is also joke at best when people make videos where they say they have like 90k dps when it's done on some dummy with no armor which is nowhere like normal mob and that 90k happends one like every 5 sec. ESO community often looks like noobs acting like they were some hardcore players.
@@Adam_Lutz I am pretty sure he can not read as well. So do not waste too much time and effort. Thanks for the great content btw. I started the game like a week ago and since then watched a few ESO based channels for information and in the end mainly watched yours. Easy to listen to voice and explanations. Oh and wtf is that outfir your character wears, it looks really dope tho.
Brah We Got This I watched but I kind of get what PR8 videos is getting out. It’s not so much that it’s trash so much as people tend to get booted from content if they aren’t parsing the “meta” dmg. That isn’t the fault of the game but player impatience. Not parsing enough can make a fight take a few mins longer if you haven’t mastered your dps rotation and parsing and people often get yelled at which is disheartening. But any mmo release on optimal gear for dmg dealing so I don’t get that complaint at all. And mechanics are “hard” until you learn them so don’t understand that argument either. From what I have gathered optimal dps is dependent on your gear/pots/food/ your rotating upkeep and having your dots up. Did I miss anything on that?
@@ShadowProject01 There are situations that require a decent level of DPS in the very late game content. Specifically a lot of vet trials and some of the DLC vet dungeons. If the group isn't doing enough DPS to take the boss down fast enough the group will get wiped. It just takes time and practice to get to a point where everyone in the group is doing enough to get through all content. You don't need to run the "meta" builds to get to that point, and since the meta changes almost every patch it is almost better not to. Yes, some players are impatient pricks who will boot anyone they see as not doing enough after the first wipe, but there are some great communities out there like the Brafia where that isn't an issue. :)
@@ShadowProject01 I see what you are saying. I am just making the point that he refers to people making videos of people parsing 90k on a dummy. I see his point here, those parses aren't realistic because there are no mechanics. But this video isn't doing that at all. I'm not even parsing. I'm just trying to help individuals do better as a damage dealer in the game. And I am passing on tips that I have learned that have helped me do better. But he's also basically claiming that this is easy to obtain, and I disagree with that, because it isn't easy for everyone. A lot of old school players have trouble with the combat system in ESO because it's so fast paced. But thank you for laying out your points so I can see where you are coming from. And no I don't think you missed anything, I think that was well worded, but new players can always join our community and we can help them out :)

Damage per second. It refers to parsing tables or damage counter add-ons. It takes your average damage per second.
In case people need it and are afraid to ask.

Can you pvp with a tank and do enough damage to.kill players? ruclips.net/video/kppgQ6lbaSQ/видео.html
Amazing guide, I genuinely think DPS dummies/Target dummies should be free though.

I have 2 videos actually that show them :)

High elf :)
How do u get those good looking armour
Don't be a merry go round? Guilty aa charged!
Noob question. What is a light attack vs a heavy attack? I'm doing a dual wield stamina warden.
Light attack is tapping left click, heavy is holding left click until you attack. Heavies restore some resources when you use them
Is 50k on 3mil good?
This flipping game needs some Courses at a local Community College. I just started and holy S*#t I’m lost.
