The film was extremely entertaining and well-made + well-acted. I enjoyed watching it, and it exploded several fascinating modern mysteries of these royals. I just really, really hope none of the people depicted see it. It would be very upsetting.
To be fair the ending was shakespearian overkill. Charles would not abdicate the throne, because it wouldn't benefit him or his successor. It would be like making a bet, then withdrawing from taking any winnings.
Yeah, the actress who played Kate was bad, and the script for Kate was even worse.
Joe Farmer, unrealistic? it's a fantasy. A fantasy written in the style of a Shakespearian tragedy.

Acting is about becoming and impersonating a character. What is the point of *acting* if it is not to impersonate someone's voice, mannerisms, speech patterns, look, etc.? Why do people spend hours in the makeup chair trying to look exactly like that person if not to impersonate? Have you forgotten what acting is?

If by then its King Charles III, why is prime minister calling her Duchess, when she should be the Princess of Wales by then. HRH/Princess Katherine of Wales.
Well, Camilla currently goes by Duchess of Cornwall, even though she is formally the Princess of Wales, largely because "Princess of Wales" has become so deeply intertwined with Diana. It's possible that Kate will carry on in that tradition out of respect for her husband's mother.

The eldest son of the Sovereign doesn't automatically become Prince of Wales; there's usually a few months or years in between. Prince Charles didn't become Prince of Wales for over six years after he became heir; during that time he was simply Duke of Cornwall, which *is* automatically granted.

Just watched it. It was defiantly entertaining and well acted but if I was any of the Royal Family and I watched it, I would be highly offended! Just seems wrong to do a drama imagining the queen's death. Plus, when was Kate like Lady Macbeth?
It's a fantasy.
I want to see Kate acting like Lady Macbeth or Cersei Lannister. That makes the series more fun to watch.

@@veggie42 The film was made in 2017 and was set in the very near future, as though the Queen died imminently. It's a dramatisation of the very near future as of when it was made.

The film is well done, has a good photograph, but the Duchess of Cambridge is mainly presented in a cartoon and disgusting way. Despite having positive and interesting points, the film has a militant anti-monarchist tone that is irritating.

she has way more persona than the real Kate. The real Kate is ordinary pale, very timid and less outspoken. I guess the play of this actress is showing how the real Kate should be.

Unlike this ‘story’ Charles will make a great King. Nobody in our millennia old monarchy has had more preparation for the role and has served such a prolonged apprenticeship. He has also been schooled by the best there is. Our longest serving monarch will be big shoes to fill but an outstanding role model.

Watched this show. Didn't care for the way they portrayed William, Harry and Kate. They had William as spineless, Harry as confused and Kate as power hungry. They are nothing like these characters. I give it a thumbs down.

@@veggie42 This film is from 2017. Harry was already dating Meghan in 2016. Nothing about that is foretelling. Rumors of an expected engagement were already being spread by the end of 2016.
