Great video! You have a very clear method of explaining the different features of procreate. I’d love to know more details and practical applications of the “selection tool”. Thanks for the video!
I am wondering if the toolbar for selection can be moved to a different position because it pops up in the way of what I’m doing ? Or is it just a case of shrinking the canvas down by pinching it and then expanding?
One thing you can do is to go to the Actions Menu > Prefs > Gesture Controls. In the attribute QuickMenu, toggle on Touch. Tap Done, then go back to your canvas, touch your screen to open the QuickMenu. Touch and hold the button at the bottom then tap Selection tool. Like that, you'll be to do one finger swipe down on your canvas to bring up the Selection tool menu. 👍
Around 2:50 it can get confusing for a complete novice and could use a more clear or detailed explanation. We have three burgundy circles and then you tap one and it changes colors... Like how did you get there?
In my procreate this tool is not working. I have to select the part. Then draw anything even outside the selection then undo two steps then it gives me the diagonal line layer. Is there a way to fix it.
@@BonkyBilal well when i was selecting the area to draw in with the freehand tool. I was able to draw even out of the selected potion. I had to select the area, then draw over the area then undo the drawing and then undo the selection. Then it is giving me the screen with diagonal stripes.
@@bandana_rathore how to reboot? I have the same issue. Everytime i make selection and then i tap drawing tool ,The selection got deselect and i cant draw inside selection. Only the undo method works
Maybe you can help me please with another question ? I'd like to move only the selection, without to move the object at the same time. Change the position of the selection only. Have you any experience with? Thank you so much. Have a nice day.
For now, the solution I found is to apply Color Fill to create an object after you've made your selection on an empty layer. Then move that object around. And as soon as you are happy with its position, touch and hold your object layer with two fingers to select the layer contents. I hope this helps!
FYI the drawing colour was almost invisible on my IPad Pro 2020 12.9 inch. It’s really odd that while you can select an item you can’t then make multiple copies of it on that layer...IMO Laurie
