  • Being childhood friends and classmates back in the 1950s, Keith Richards and Mick Jagger have noticed their shared interests in terms of their music likes and started a musical partnership. After playing together on several occasions, the band played their first show under the name of ‘the Rollin’ Stones’ on 12 July 1962 in London and rise to fame shortly after their appearances on the stage.
Despite their long-term friendship, Keith Richards and Mick Jagger had also serious problems during their relationship. As stated in a New York Post article by Kyle Smith dated 2016, they started to hate each other back in the 1980s. In the article, it is seen that Richards thought Jagger started to become unbearable back in those days and revealed the nickname for Jagger in the band was ‘Her Majesty’ or ‘Bitchy Brenda.’ Moreover, their problems heightened when Mick Jagger received a knighthood from the Queen in 2003, as Richards recalled how cops arrested both of them for using drugs at a party at Richard’s country house in 1967. Richards is also known to have described Jagger’s solo album ‘Goddess In The Doorway’ as ‘Dogs**t In The Doorway’ in his 2011 memoir ‘Life.’
Mick, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie answer questions about Jagger and Richards' strained relationship.

Keith with a clever smirk, "If he thinks he's a forgiving guy (Mick), I forgive him." Brilliant of Keith...may say (lol)? Thanks for the post. Cheers!

They r deep down best friends and treat each other like brothers I think, they would miss each other if they didn't work together to make the best rock band ever. 💟🎵🎵

Yes, back in the 80s the fued between Mick and Keith WAS serious enough to threaten the future of the Rolling Stones.
All that we've read and heard is Keith sniggering, sneering and generally insulting Mick, even criticising him in song(s).
BUT there are two sides to every story and to his immense credit, Mick has risen above it all and not revealed (publicly, at least) his version of events.

I think they just know that 1+1 > 2 (by a lot). Solo, I'm sure both of them would do fine... but together, they're the Rolling Stones where which is much greater than the sum of the parts. Hackney Diamonds proves that point.

i love Mick's albums solo. The less good was 'she is the boss'. But the others were good for me.

Keith's first two solo albums, _Talk is Cheap_ and _Main Offender_ are great and stand up well after 30+ years. His third one from 2015, _Crosseyed Heart_ , is best described as 'also ran'.

Mick takes always clear politicals positions like for Trump or Brexit when Keith always ovoid it, not sure who is the conservative person and Mick never wrote on Keith the way he does on Mick. Keith solo work is not really famous too. Anyway media don't have to play this kind of game.

This reporter is annoying and trying to instigate a feud here. I hope Keith and Mick figure out this stupid little game she is playing and stop opening themselves up to her. She is trying her best to cause some serious damage here.
