As a person I can't have much respect for him... greedy, attention whore, immoral, lecherous, drunken, selfish, etc etc... but he is damn good at it and pushed the limits that's for sure. The Stones caused the Altamont tragedy by refusing to go to a better arena that wanted a portion of the royalties from the film... Jagger would not give up one cent. They paid the Hells Angels 500 in beer to be the security.... they left a wake of unpaid hotel, limo, restaurant, service bills on the 69 tour also. There are still rumors that Brian Jones was killed. Did Mick ever say something about Brian's sudden death? Anna Wohlin, Brian's girlfriend reecently wrote a book where she claims that Brain was killed. "Brian Jones has been hailed as one of the truly influential pioneers of modern music. As a founder of the Rolling Stones, Brian's music style and personality made him a star. But his arrest on drugs charges in 1967 sent him into a drink-and-drugs fuelled depression and his life slipped out of control. It was then that he met Anna Wohlin. He pursued her relentlessly, and they fell in love. How could they have guessed that a trivial domestic dispute would result in the most puzzling death in rock 'n' roll history? Anna was a witness on that tragic summer evening. In this book, she breaks her silence, to tell the truth about July 3, 1969-"the night Brian Jones was killed".
Ridiculous. Brian Jones did not “get killed!” He died and that was tragic enough as it was. I remember that day and I grieved for him. His death was not intentional either. It was just very bad luck. Although maybe some people who were around in his house that night should have looked out for him more…

The 1972 arrest was in Providence, RI, not Boston. The mayor of Boston had to ask the authorities in RI to release them so they could play their concert before a riot broke out. Keith had told the photographer 'no photos'. The guy kept snapping pictures, so Keith took off his belt and nailed the guy with the buckle end.
1:37 "But back in the day, they were one of the most dangerous bands out there." Yea, when they had a free concert at Altamont and hired hells angels to keep people in check. That was the end of free love, and the beginning of that which is America today.
Right. Altamont, the death of the three rock n'roll stars, the Manson killings, the shootings at Kent State. Peace and love wasn't working. That was our chance to make America great and it didn't happen. The right wing rose up to kill the Kennedy's and Dr. King. It's been downhill ever since.
I remember the Stones came to Rochester NY in the fall of '65 and played before a sell out crowd at the Auditorium Theater, which only holds about 2000 people. After 2 songs, the police stopped the show, and ordered everyone to sit down, not to scream, and clap at the end of each song or the show would no longer go on. Of course, no one listened. The show was ended. Fans began fighting with the police and one fan threw a glass beer bottle which broke when it struck an officer in the eye, blinding him. The concert was called "a riot" in the local news.

The Stones are all great performers in their own individual ways, especially Mick with his powerful stage presence and huge vocal range and Keith doing incredible magic on guitar. But,as with other great groups eg ABBA, their greatness as a band is the total sum of their individual parts played by talented members, all meshing in nicely together to produce the perfect ginished musical output we fans love to experience. Once the bands break up, this special kind of group magic just evaporates, even though the individual performers are still great musicians. But many such bands do break up, often due to the pressures of such a cruel industry as music and Big Artistic Ego syndrome all successful artists need to succeed, but which, unchecked, can also be their demise because it destroys good relationships needed to produce goid music. We see this time and time again with great bands.
G*man Jagger treats other human beings like objects Hell, the way the Stones have never admitted Darryl Jones as a member is one more expression of the founding members’ greed They rival KISS in fighting for every penny I really enjoy The Rolling Stones; I wouldn’t want Mick Jagger near ANYTHING or anyone I care about And I’ll admit, he is at least savvy or tenacious when it comes to his own self interest so questioning his intelligence was a cheap swipe But his narcissism and foolishness are legendary I don’t wish ill on the man, I enjoy the band and I know Mick Jagger appears to be the type a guy who’d mess you over or dismiss you on a petty whim IMO He’s not the devil... but he is a scoundrel

But he’s not changed his ways. Jesus loves us so much, He died on the cross for our sins. But we have to ask Him for forgiveness. Btw, at L’Wren Scott’s funeral, his daughter and her kids quotes from Psalms and a hymn was played. Still praying for Mick Jagger’s salvation. Not necessarily true ! Being in a good place financially and/or career wise like Jagger, is not a guarantee of being a "wonderful" person by any means ! Lots of creeps and crappy people are well to do and career succesful. We have plenty of proof of that in this world. Sad, but unfortunately true.

when I was just a little kid,
and they're out-living me,
and they're still kicking ass.
I can't believe it.
right, their stamina is out of this world.
They have been linked to the process church and dabled in satanism towards the end of the 60s
That's what I love about him.
mick jagger is amazing
Not really known as a drinker. Has he been drunk? Surely.....But he's not known as a big drinker, especially not in the last 40 years. Now Keith....thats a different story. But even he's sober now
I remember when Mick was jagged
Edgy while egging on face
Fired by the roll in brimstone
Prancing in a one man race
He soon became man of momentum
While working a very fast pace
Still with no moss on his body
No longer fading from grace
Mick is having a great life. More power to him.
I'll never learn to understand women😉

1:37 "But back in the day, they were one of the most dangerous bands out there."
Yea, when they had a free concert at Altamont and hired hells angels to keep people in check.

Yeah I agree. In fact I think that about many celebrities. They seem to think they get a free pass to go from relationship to relationship and kind of remain kind of pure. I can look at a girl and think she's nice / attractive / smart or whatever. Then I think yes, she was with this guy and then before she was him and oh, yes she was married to.....etc etc Then you think of the guys and remember all the women they've been connected to. And that's just the ones you know about. Geeez...Remember the aids warning ads years ago ? If you're intimate with someone you're potentially being intimate with all the people they've been with and all the people they have and....on and on. So, not for me thanks. I was years ago often accused of being a womanizer which I never ever was. I might have been silly as a 20 year old but I realized it just wasn't me.
